  1. While waiting for RCL to open up bookings for 2018-2019 I went searching in the now released Celebrity Cruises. Hard to pass up a great deal - we a couple weeks ago we booked Eclipse B2B Argentina - Chile (Around the Horn) 14 days and then Chile - San Diego -15 days in March 2019 -

The little  made me do it! :)

Yikes! and now your post and the little  made me do the same thing! Well, I at least have a cabin on Hold...Thanks for the heads up, great opportunity to experience that part of the world, imho.

  2. You cannot. We were originally told we could do it and just pay an upcharge, but the specialty restaurant manager refused to allow the booking, even though his staff had previously said it was ok. If you go to izumi hibachi, you have to pay full price and it's not considered part of the package. Even the concierges could not get us in under the package.

Tbh, we never expected it to be part of the package based on the fine print, and had no intention of going until the specialty dining staff said we should try it. Then we were excited to go. So having it then refused was pretty annoying. The theme of this cruise seems to be inconsistent/nonexistent communication....

You can not use your specialty dining package on OA for the Hibachi. So, doubt you could on the HM. That said, well worth the price with such great food and entertainment. Worth every penny, imho

  3. This is the first I've read of this issue of Diamonds being kicked out of the lounge.

We are also onboard Serenade and have been for this cruise and the previous fjords cruise.

Diamonds have not been kicked out of the lounge, they have the entire safari club as a diamond lounge on deck 6.

Diamond plus are using the Diamond Lounge on Deck 13, and suites and Pinnacles are using the Concierge Lounge on deck 13.

We were onboard last week also, and concierge lounge was open for suites, pinnacles and diamond plus. However, over 500 diamond and over 300 diamond plus boarded for the transatlantic, so they had to separate the lounges. All lounges have the same drinks and the same hors'd'oerves, and both the diamond lounge and safari club have better views.

No one would be happy to squeeze 800 diamond, diamond plus into the diamond lounge,

I think it was a great solution, everyone has a place to go and enjoy a cocktail and conversation.

I agree, great solution! Hope they do the same on the repo[emoji6]

  4. what would i do....well i would look forward to enjoying my cruise, in exactly the same way i have enjoyed since the very first one taken. I would hope to meet some new friends, some of which might be on their first cruise along with others that might have cruised alot.

I would also look forward to cruising with people that we might have cruised with before, some of which might be gold members whilst others could be newly diamond or d+. Along with the chance of meeting fellow pineapple members that i have cruised with before ( some of which are awesome people, and others less so ) as well as meeting other pins that we have never met.

I will decide who i spend time with, and who to avoid depending on their welcoming smile ( or snear ) as i enter the room, be that the cl or any other lounge area.

I will be approachable to those that are positive, and wary of those that are stand offish, no matter what their colour, nationality or sexual preference.

I cruise for myself and my wife, simply to have a good time because life is too short. We would never allow anybody else to change that, as i understand that my pound, euro or dollar has exactly the same value as anyone else's be they young or old, i would hope that my cruise experience might help a first time cruiser get the most out of their experience, in the same way others did when i first started all those years ago.

I am proud to be a pinnacle member because this only means we have enjoyed many cruises over a long time, this is a reflection of the years and years of hard work i have put into our lives. How lucky are we that our health has enabled us to do that.

People do not change when they become pinnacle members, if they are arrogant or rude then they probably always were. Most of us know that the p club name tag is resented by some and as such we become a target for remarks from people that have never taken the time to say hello. That is why we chose not to wear ours.

Being a p is only a status in a loyalty scheme, not a status in life, it does not give me access upstairs after i take my last breath, hopefully being respectful to others might do that.

And yes i will be on the harmony ta, so if you are please say hello.

    Brilliant!

  5. We are booked on one of the Vision sailings out of Venice which is being cancelled. We have received no notice yet. Has anyone else on a Vision sailing received notice? If so, what options for re-booking were you provided?

I have done a bit of searching but see no itinerary as good for us as the one we originally booked.

We were too and our TA did not know anything until I told her about this. She was on hold for 45 min with redeployment desk to finally have answers. They said our choice was to switch to Jewel for the same time frame. But, those cruises are only 9 nights, from Rome and do not include Venice and all the Greece stops. That was the whole point of the VI cruises. The RH will sail from Venice but only 7 night cruises. None of these options are acceptable. Will be looking for something else over the weekend to switch the bookings to but neither JW or RH.

  6.

We have VI bookings which are 10 and 11 nighters!!! Now this????? BTW, the Canada sailings also showing when pull up VI and Sept-Oct 2017 sailings.

They better not book our cabins for the 7 nighters without contacting us first but hopefully will stay 10 and 11 nighters. What a mess and why they have all the different itineraries posted on their web site is beyond me!!! Wait, I forgot it's RCCL IT.:(

  7. We have had both and would choose the OS over the CLS anyday. As much as we like the attendants and location of the CLS, we much prefer the one level open floor plan and the bigger balcony of an OS. Dining table and bathroom better in OS imho. Either way you choose you really can't go wrong, have a great cruise!

  8. "Orders from Miami" is one of most used phrases on Liberty;)

LOL!!!! You are so right and they are so wrong! Even with orders from Miami they do not do the things they are suppose to do or lie about it (in my personal experience). I bet the concierges switching lounges is going over very well also:rolleyes:. What a mess that ship is in so many regards, imho. Glad to have one less ship to juggle until those that cruise her a lot give the thumbs up for major ship wide changes and vibes.

    Cheers!

  9. Called C&A about fall Canada/NE sailings since we're on Rhapsody 9/8 and 9/20. Not surprised that they don't know anything. What I was told was that the Vision Sept/Oct 2017 sailings were place holders and couldn't be booked.

LOL, that's what they told me about the Canadian VI itineraries that are now appearing on our VI Sept, 2017 Greek cruises.

Like John....we were on the cancelled Rhapsody spring TA. Thinking he may be right about a curse on this class of ship. If anyone sees that Vision can be booked for Canada/NE....please post here. We have a special cabin booked on Rhapsody and, if we have to change ships, would hope to get it on Vision.

Can't book any VI Canadian cruises on website.

Thanks to folks on CC for giving a "heads up" on what is happening.

What in the world is wrong with RCCL?!?!?! Someone does not know what they are doing and no seems to care how they disappoint so many that book early for great itinerary or price or cabin or all 3! Shame on RCCL!

  10. Does anyone know if she is still with Allure? We are sailing in 19 days and I would LOVE to see her again!!!

She is no longer a ship's Loyalty Ambassador. Cindy is with the Next Cruise Sales Department and travels to different ships when not in Miami. Can't wait to run into her on a ship soon! She was and still is awesome and a true asset to RCL, imho.
