  1. Capt Srecko Felix Ban is supposedly transferring to the QN;)

Sorry, I meant AN:D. Hopefully, that means another very favorite QN class captain may be headed to QN after an extended time away from ships.;) There, that's what I meant to say, lol!

  2. and so much for a 24-hour head start for C&A members. Just verified the rate with a C&A rep......told him to hold on to his hat because the no-notice bug has hit, AGAIN!

Might be an odd system error.....my wife can't even sign in. ( we were going to do a courtesy hold in case someone at RCCL sobers up and realizes what he/she did)

I got a quote for GS, over $11,000 for the cabin. Sorry, there is not a cabin in RCCL fleet worth over $1000 per night. Also, no BOGOHO???? No HOLD. They want their money, now.....well, NO:rolleyes:

  3. We are on Explorer in October Seattle to Sydney. We have an overnight in Maui and Lahaina is a tender port. Can someone with knowledge/experience of this tell me if the tenders run all night (overnight). I have seen older postings on Cruise Critic and more recent for other cruise lines. No one at Royal can give me a specific answer (yet.)

    Thanks...

We have done this itinerary and the tender DID run all night, fwiw.

  5. Wonder if I could take on some Clamato along with my waters??? I think that is the problem with their Bloody Marys....they use plain tomato juice and that awful mixer.

Yes, you most certainly can bring Clamato onboard with your waters. Also, I bring my own Diet Tonic water since it's only available when ship is sailing in or from UK area;)

    Cheers!

  6. I'm not quite sure I understand the "lose control over the booking" statement. My clients have full control, they see a price change, they want to change staterooms, they need special requests, they want to cancel, they want to move to a different ship, they call me or email me, I do it. They can still reserve dining, shows, packages, alcohol, travel to and from all by themselves. Or I can do it too. They can do all their paperwork or I can. I can mediate for them in a dispute, I give them a lot more perks than not, most often if I make 200$ bucks on a sailing, I give at least half of it back to them. So, Im not being facetious when i ask, what does it mean to lose control of the booking. It would be helpful for me to know this, so that I can maybe put others at ease.

It seems to me that the original poster may have gotten a crap travel agent. I own a small business, so referrals are my best friend, making sure my customers are well cared for goes without saying.

Thank you for all you do! You sound just like our TA and I would never go back to RCCL controlling my reservations, lol. The perks of course are wonderful but our TA will fight for us when need be, something I won't do. I rather she have control than me and she will always make it right, can't say that about RCCL. FWIW

  7. Thanks for the contact. I was called after my post cruise comments on Liberty. If things haven't improved next month, I'll follow up.

I, for one, will be interested in how things have improved on LB (see how optimistic I'm being:rolleyes:). Wishing you a better experience this time and keeping my fingers crossed so many of the Pinnacle unfriendly aspects have been remedied;). Cheers!

  8. We ate at Chef's Table on the Oasis in July.

During the meal: people walked by in shorts talking loudly, some even came close to see what was being served, noise from both the Suites Lounge and Coastal Kitchen made it difficult to hear everything being said at the table.

A glass wall should have been installed to divide Chef's Table from the rest of the area.

I doubt that we will eat at Chef's Table on the Oasis or Allure again.

Chef's Table on the Anthem is in the back of Chops with a dividing wall and door….a much better environment.

Absolutely agree! What a horrible location for them to place the Chef's Table. Also, Chops was never that good on OA and at $45 pp we will gladly give it up. The up-pricing of things is getting out of control, imho. And, we eat mainly in specialty restaurants on all the ships.

  9. I am not sure but we had Nadja last week on the Navigator out of Galveston. She told us she has put in to be on Liberty when it arrives but doesn't know yet if she will be. Nadja was fabulous!

Would be Great if the Liberty and Navigator concierges just switched ships, imho.
