As stated in post above, VI is back on RCCL website and others;) available for booking. No SOLD OUT notations. Book on.....
Happy Memorial Day to those in US and thanks to all who have served or are serving!

Here's what friends on EX had to say as they started TP from Sydney to Vancouver.
On the Explorer out of Sydney and the diamond plus are no longer allowed in the concierge lounge.
Seems some ships deciding to change before May 1 to alleviate changing in middle of a cruise? Wonder what will happen on other TAs:confused:

Beware if you have a latex allergy. Not allergy friendly and this is from my personal experience. I'll just use the card, thank you.

and so much for a 24-hour head start for C&A members. Just verified the rate with a C&A rep......told him to hold on to his hat because the no-notice bug has hit, AGAIN!
Might be an odd system error.....my wife can't even sign in. ( we were going to do a courtesy hold in case someone at RCCL sobers up and realizes what he/she did)
I got a quote for GS, over $11,000 for the cabin. Sorry, there is not a cabin in RCCL fleet worth over $1000 per night. Also, no BOGOHO???? No HOLD. They want their money, now.....well, NO:rolleyes:

Hawaii to Vancouver May 2018 was released ..... and the WOW is the price , and it's only 10 days

These prices are RIDICULOUS!!! I do not think we should have to pay for all their mistakes this "fall/winter" in the Northeast. FWIW

We are on Explorer in October Seattle to Sydney. We have an overnight in Maui and Lahaina is a tender port. Can someone with knowledge/experience of this tell me if the tenders run all night (overnight). I have seen older postings on Cruise Critic and more recent for other cruise lines. No one at Royal can give me a specific answer (yet.)
Thanks...
We have done this itinerary and the tender DID run all night, fwiw.

Wonder if I could take on some Clamato along with my waters??? I think that is the problem with their Bloody Marys....they use plain tomato juice and that awful mixer.
Yes, you most certainly can bring Clamato onboard with your waters. Also, I bring my own Diet Tonic water since it's only available when ship is sailing in or from UK area;)
Cheers!

Anyone having trouble doing courtesy hold? It let me do 2 earlier this morning but now won't let me do one.
No problem here, is it working for you now?

fyi. The 10/29/17 ios ta is now available for booking. We secured a cabin as we like the itinerary. Prices are high but expect them to come down eventually.
As of the time of posting, prices after taxes and fees per cabin (double occupancy) are as follows:
Interior: $3105.80
oceanview: $3965.80
balcony: $5105.80
suite: $8205.80
insane! Imho

I'm not quite sure I understand the "lose control over the booking" statement. My clients have full control, they see a price change, they want to change staterooms, they need special requests, they want to cancel, they want to move to a different ship, they call me or email me, I do it. They can still reserve dining, shows, packages, alcohol, travel to and from all by themselves. Or I can do it too. They can do all their paperwork or I can. I can mediate for them in a dispute, I give them a lot more perks than not, most often if I make 200$ bucks on a sailing, I give at least half of it back to them. So, Im not being facetious when i ask, what does it mean to lose control of the booking. It would be helpful for me to know this, so that I can maybe put others at ease.
It seems to me that the original poster may have gotten a crap travel agent. I own a small business, so referrals are my best friend, making sure my customers are well cared for goes without saying.
Thank you for all you do! You sound just like our TA and I would never go back to RCCL controlling my reservations, lol. The perks of course are wonderful but our TA will fight for us when need be, something I won't do. I rather she have control than me and she will always make it right, can't say that about RCCL. FWIW

Hump cabins are great! We book GS and OS on the hump on Radiance class ships and never have problems with noise. They now close the fire doors and problem solved. If they don't on your cruise, call Guest Services and they will close them if band is playing after 10ish. FWIW

I'll have to scope out the suite lounge next week and look for pinnacles. One improvement on the LB, we did get a welcome letter from Carlos this morning. We didn't get that in November.
Baby steps are better than no steps. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the contact. I was called after my post cruise comments on Liberty. If things haven't improved next month, I'll follow up.

I, for one, will be interested in how things have improved on LB (see how optimistic I'm being:rolleyes:). Wishing you a better experience this time and keeping my fingers crossed so many of the Pinnacle unfriendly aspects have been remedied;). Cheers!

FWIW, our 1400 stratum is almost twice the size of the 700 and 1050.:)

We ate at Chef's Table on the Oasis in July.
During the meal: people walked by in shorts talking loudly, some even came close to see what was being served, noise from both the Suites Lounge and Coastal Kitchen made it difficult to hear everything being said at the table.
A glass wall should have been installed to divide Chef's Table from the rest of the area.
I doubt that we will eat at Chef's Table on the Oasis or Allure again.
Chef's Table on the Anthem is in the back of Chops with a dividing wall and door….a much better environment.
Absolutely agree! What a horrible location for them to place the Chef's Table. Also, Chops was never that good on OA and at $45 pp we will gladly give it up. The up-pricing of things is getting out of control, imho. And, we eat mainly in specialty restaurants on all the ships.

Yes, Ricardo was in Concierge and Nadia in Diamond. Both waiting to hear if either one might get to go to the Liberty when it comes to Galveston
Hope Ricardo gets to move to Liberty! He does such a fantastic job on these itineraries and deserves to stay closer to home, imho!

Can anyone confirm if Alan is in the Diamond or Concierge lounge on Enchantment currently? We have friends going this weekend and they want to take him a gift.
Alan is in the CL now.

Just tried to book tour in Oct and they were already sold out. Had to choose something else. So, I wouldn't wait, FWIW

Capt Pero Sutalo took command yesterday on ID. Possibly filling in during Captains meeting somewhere??
-
I am not sure but we had Nadja last week on the Navigator out of Galveston. She told us she has put in to be on Liberty when it arrives but doesn't know yet if she will be. Nadja was fabulous!

Would be Great if the Liberty and Navigator concierges just switched ships, imho.

I didn't save my letters either.
I have the letters in my QN pile. Now to find the pile:eek: Will look in the am, sorry, too tired to tackle it tonight.

Sorry, I meant AN:D. Hopefully, that means another very favorite QN class captain may be headed to QN after an extended time away from ships.;) There, that's what I meant to say, lol!
