  1. Let me ask you this. Since you live in Ft Lauderdale a major cruise port, how are things going there? Are bars open? are restaurants at full capacity for indoor dining?  I take my cues from what's going on around me.  If it's not safe on land than it's not safe at sea and the CDC probably won't move forward. They gave the cruise lines an impossible task to comply with. If there was any sign of hope for sailing anytime soon the cruise lines would have made a statement by now. They are not tipping their hand for fear of premature cancellations. I wouldn't expect to hear anything from any cruise line until the CDC has lifted the no sail order.

But my question is when do you think the next round of cancellations will be? People have cruises booked for Beginning of November.

  2. Cruise docs and luggage tags are generally available at 49 days prior to cruise date (7 weeks) but sometimes it can be delayed if you are using a travel agent or if you are using Air2Sea.

We received our cruise docs for our upcoming NAV cruise (Nov 6) at exactly 49 days prior to the cruise although I still feel confident that this cruise will be cancelled.

We are on Allure on the 22nd of November. I think it will be cancelled but still hoping!

  3. I think the news station was confusing the cancelling of itineraries for the four ships for all cruises cancelled.  No-one else has reported anything, and that kind of thing would pop up here PDQ.

I have seen 2 news reports today stating the CDC will probably be extending no sail order and cruise lines are aware.
