Oh those menus - how's come it used to be that I might have trouble choosing what I wanted to now wanting to choose everything on the menu? 😁 I'm going to be in trouble - I better get busy looking up clothes that can s-t-r-e-t-c-h!
I was just thinking the same thing. It will be very hard to choose.

Thank you for taking the time out of your cruise to give us a daily update. Our last cruise was on the Adventure February 2020, one of our favorite ships.
Looking forward to seeing your future posts.

I booked a cruise while we were on the ship. MyVegas said I couldn’t get additional onboard credit because I received onboard credit for booking onboard. Everything was within the timelines. Basically they said no double dipping. This is the first time this happened to me.

We have won a couple of t-shirts over the years, plus a few raffle tickets. In September we turned in the ticket for the raffle and won the raffle. That is definitely a first!

We were on the Empress in September, I really enjoyed the ship. It is smaller, but the crew is fantastic. We stayed in a junior suite, which is about the size of a balcony cabin on the other ships. You may want to look into that, I cannot remember if it had a pullout couch or pullman berths. Whatever you decide have a fabulous cruise.

Going to experience this terminal for the first time in February. Going to try Park n' Go for the first time... if I am gonna have to take a shuttle anyway might as well save money on parking!
I have used Park n Go five times so far and will be using them in February for our cruise on the Adventure. We have been very happy with them. You drop your car off, they load the shuttle, we got on and drop us at the port. Probably no more than 15 minutes. They try to get everyone on the shuttle going to the same ship. After the cruise we walk out and never had to wait more than five minutes and they take us to our car. The last time they even helped put the suitcases in our car.

We disembark at terminal G in Miami and there is some walking. Walking to get luggage and then through customs. You can always get a porter to help with luggage. If you need assistance you can check with guest service and see about wheelchair assistance. I believe they will bring you to customs.

Traveling with some family, unfortunately one family booked later so are wait-listed for early dinner. One night Grandma and Grandpa are taking the grand kids out to a specialty restaurant. On that night can we invite our other family to join us since there will be extra room at our table?
If they are waitlisted for early dining and it is before final payment there is probably a chance they will get changed to early dining. If not on boarding day go to the dining room and see if they can be changed to be seated with you. They may not be able to make the change the first night, but maybe for the rest of the cruise. They do their best in trying to keep families together.

I had just a short break before the second event, "Dine with an Officer". The dining room was set as long tables for 10 with an officer at each end and 8 guests along the sides. Seating was assigned with name tags. At my table the Executive Housekeeper was seated at one end and Francisco from Guest Services at the end nearer me. There were 2 or 3 entree choices and 2 for desert. I chose the beef tenderloin and a key lime meringue pie. All was very good including the conversation.
I am happy to hear they have "Dine with an Officer" event. We really do enjoy this perk.
Glad to see you enjoyed the Empress to book another cruise on her. I was on her in 2005, so it has been a while since I have been on a smaller ship.
Safe journeys home.

It's Diamond (not necessarily Pus) and above. I don't think Junior Suites get much in the way of perks so I doubt they get that but am not sure.
Roy
Thank you, I will check out when we get onboard. I know we will be able to go, our friends our platinum but are in a junior suite.

Enjoying your review of the Empress, looking forward to sailing on her next month.
The sail away away event on day 1 for C&A is that all C&A members or for Diamond Plus and above. Also if suites are are included in sail away does it include Junior Suites. Thank you and looking forward to the rest of your review.

Twangster, thank you so much for your review of the Empress, I have enjoyed it.
We are going on her next month and I am so looking forward to it.
One question, since there isn’t a Diamond Lounge is there a place to get a coffee/cappuccino during the day? I am assuming my husband can get his coffee in the windjammer, but does like get a cappuccino in the DL. Thank you.

Loving your review. Looking forward to hearing about the 8 night, we will be doing the same itinerary in September.
Happy cruising!

The last time I saw this, they put the medical refrigerator on the vanity/desk top. Or was it under the desk? Whichever, it was out of the way. 🙂
Thank you, nothing is worse than stubbing your toe in the middle of the night!

We’re on Allure in 3 weeks and want to confirm that there’s only reserved Diamond Plus seating if you’ve made a reservation. Is it available in every venue?
Sorry it took so long for me to answer and was out of town and didn’t check cruise critic.
As far as I could tell it was reserved seating every night. But about 10 minutes before the show they opened it for everyone.

Thank you for giving us a review on the Empress. We will be on her for 8 nights in September. The last time was 2005. We also have junior suite and was told they do not have the small refrigerator/cooler. I requested one for my husband’s medicine. The cabins look the size of a balcony room, I hope I won’t be tripping over it in the middle of the night 😀
Enjoy your cruise and looking forward to more posts.

We were on the Adventure in February and there was reserved seating for Diamond Plus. We we on the Allure last week and there also was reserved seating for Diamond Plus.

When we were on the Harmony this past February we booked two cruises for February 2019. I was able to get one $50.00 obc for one cruise and $100.00 obc for the other. I sent all the information while I was on our cruise. We were on the Serenade in November and booked the Brilliance for this month and was able to get $100.00 obc, no problem. All the cruises went to my TA.
I booked one with my TA for June 2019 this past August and sent in for obc and it was denied saying I had to book through ClubRoyale. I have heard others booking through a TA and had no problem in using their MyVegas points.
It doesn’t hurt to try.

For those on Brilliance - we sailed Brilliance B2B earlier this month and there was a dedicated Gluten free area in the Windjammer. We had a galley tour and they took lots of time to show us the gluten free bread area in the kitchen and how they are careful regarding cross contamination.
M
I hope it is still this way in two weeks. We were on the Serenade and there isn’t a gluten free area other than a basket of bread for breakfast. I hope there is a variety of desserts at lunch, Serenade had the same ones for 10 days. I think it was pavlova, it got very boring.

If your cruise is soon check your e-docs. I just looked at my e-docs and it has MTD listed. If you have early seating it should e on there.
-
Also just a heads up that if you have anyone else in your room that plays MyVegas, they should be able to use their rewards too. Hubby and I both have $250 on an upcoming sailing
Sent from my iPad using Forums
Thank you, I may have to get my husband to start playing :D:D
-
You should be able to but you will not be able to buy the same one. You can use 2 RCL rewards in 180 days but can only buy 1 of each until the rewards reset. So you could do a $250 on one cruise then $100 on the next.
Every few months you will notice RCL will stop being shown on MyVegas for a few days or weeks then will come back. Sometimes they change the rewards, sometimes they don't but that usually acts as a reset and would allow you to buy the $250 again
Thank you for this information. Hope to one of each when we book.

Hi,
IF I book a back 2 back cruise, would I be able to apply for an on board credit for each cruise with My Vegas points? Also is there a limit on how many you can apply for within a year?
Thank you.

It sounds like the parents should be spoken to. I am going to assume that they signed an agreement regarding masks for their children.
