  1. I booked a cruise while we were on the ship. MyVegas said I couldn’t get additional onboard credit because I received onboard credit for booking onboard. Everything was within the timelines. Basically they said no double dipping. This is the first time this happened to me.

Going to experience this terminal for the first time in February. Going to try Park n' Go for the first time... if I am gonna have to take a shuttle anyway might as well save money on parking!

I have used Park n Go five times so far and will be using them in February for our cruise on the Adventure. We have been very happy with them. You drop your car off, they load the shuttle, we got on and drop us at the port. Probably no more than 15 minutes. They try to get everyone on the shuttle going to the same ship. After the cruise we walk out and never had to wait more than five minutes and they take us to our car. The last time they even helped put the suitcases in our car.

  3. We disembark at terminal G in Miami and there is some walking. Walking to get luggage and then through customs. You can always get a porter to help with luggage. If you need assistance you can check with guest service and see about wheelchair assistance.   I believe they will bring you to customs.

Traveling with some family, unfortunately one family booked later so are wait-listed for early dinner.  One night Grandma and Grandpa are taking the grand kids out to a specialty restaurant.  On that night can we invite our other family to join us since there will be extra room at our table?

If they are waitlisted for early dining and it is before final payment there is probably a chance they will get changed to early dining. If not on boarding day go to the dining room and see if they can be changed to be seated with you. They may not be able to make the change the first night, but maybe for the rest of the cruise. They do their best in trying to keep families together.

I had just a short break before the second event, "Dine with an Officer".  The dining room was set as long tables for 10 with an officer at each end and 8 guests along the sides.  Seating was assigned with name tags.  At my table the Executive Housekeeper was seated at one end and Francisco from Guest Services at the end nearer me.  There were 2 or 3 entree choices and 2 for desert.  I chose the beef tenderloin and a key lime meringue pie.  All was very good including the conversation.

I am happy to hear they have "Dine with an Officer" event. We really do enjoy this perk.

Glad to see you enjoyed the Empress to book another cruise on her. I was on her in 2005, so it has been a while since I have been on a smaller ship.

    Safe journeys home.

We’re on Allure in 3 weeks and want to confirm that there’s only reserved Diamond Plus seating if you’ve made a reservation.  Is it available in every venue?

Sorry it took so long for me to answer and was out of town and didn’t check cruise critic.

As far as I could tell it was reserved seating every night. But about 10 minutes before the show they opened it for everyone.

  7. Thank you for giving us a review on the Empress. We will be on her for 8 nights in September. The last time was 2005. We also have junior suite and was told they do not have the small refrigerator/cooler. I requested one for my husband’s medicine. The cabins look the size of a balcony room, I hope I won’t be tripping over it in the middle of the night 😀

Enjoy your cruise and looking forward to more posts.

  8. When we were on the Harmony this past February we booked two cruises for February 2019. I was able to get one $50.00 obc for one cruise and $100.00 obc for the other. I sent all the information while I was on our cruise. We were on the Serenade in November and booked the Brilliance for this month and was able to get $100.00 obc, no problem. All the cruises went to my TA.

I booked one with my TA for June 2019 this past August and sent in for obc and it was denied saying I had to book through ClubRoyale. I have heard others booking through a TA and had no problem in using their MyVegas points.

    It doesn’t hurt to try.

For those on Brilliance - we sailed Brilliance B2B earlier this month and there was a dedicated Gluten free area in the Windjammer.   We had a galley tour and they took lots of time to show us the gluten free bread  area in the kitchen and how they  are careful regarding cross contamination.

I hope it is still this way in two weeks. We were on the Serenade and there isn’t a gluten free area other than a basket of bread for breakfast. I hope there is a variety of desserts at lunch, Serenade had the same ones for 10 days. I think it was pavlova, it got very boring.

  10. You should be able to but you will not be able to buy the same one. You can use 2 RCL rewards in 180 days but can only buy 1 of each until the rewards reset. So you could do a $250 on one cruise then $100 on the next.

Every few months you will notice RCL will stop being shown on MyVegas for a few days or weeks then will come back. Sometimes they change the rewards, sometimes they don't but that usually acts as a reset and would allow you to buy the $250 again

Thank you for this information. Hope to one of each when we book.
