If you are traveling with several people how is it best to book excursions? Can one person do the reservations and have each pay their own, is it charged to the guest's booking number?

Thanks for the feedback, like getting first hand accounts, much appreciated.

Thanks....we booked already and are excited for our upcoming cruise.
Which did you book; Maya Chan or Blue Reef?
Now all I have to do is figure out where the short cut to the taxis is located, lol. Supposedly there is an exit before you get to the shops but it is hard to find.

Do you have a ballpark cost for 3 to 5 people for a 4 hour tour?

Good thread, I was wondering about this excursion. I contacted VIV, I was concerned about the early start time, 9 am, and being able to be on time since we are tendered. They said they met their clients at a convenient area at the port so it sounded like there would be no problem.

Never mind, found similar post below that gave info I was looking for. :halo:

Looking for an excursion in Belize. Saw this one and it seemed interesting, kayak instead of tubing through the caves. 5 hours and $64, pick up and drop off at the port. Anybody have experience with this tour and company?

One member of our group has walking issues, not debilitating but uncomfortable. Last time we were there my nephew took us on a marathon walk to get to the taxis, like everyone is describing. We walked by what looked to me like a way out but he was leading and went right past. I think that is what one of the previous posters was talking about. Is this exit always available and has anyone had any issues using it? Could you describe it so I know what to look for? On the way back it was so much shorter. I am not opposed to going "up the down staircase".

We were at Maya Chan in '16 and it was great, no issues with anything and we drank a few Margaritas. They were sold out for our cruise date this time so we scrambled and found the review about Jamie's and read several reviews that were glowing and we booked it for this cruise. Looking forward to a great experience like the reviewer had. Read the reviews to make your choice, you can learn a lot from social media and when a vendor tells you to read his reviews you know he has nothing to hide.

Due to time constraints we are thinking of the Carnival excursion Champagne Snorkel tour. Has anyone done this? Reviews were positive but I like to get real world first hand input.

Thanks for the detailed revue. We were looking for a beach break and this one sounds good. Maya Chan is sold out for our date, we were there a few years ago, so I am glad you recommended this so highly. Jamie got back to me the same day so we will work out the details and hopefully have a great experience like you.:D

Has anyone had experience with Maha Sand or Yaya? Wanted to go to Maya Chan but it is sold out for our port date 5 months ahead. Will check on some of the others listed in this thread.

Thanks, thought I was missing something. Both ideas should be sufficient.

We have 3 "linked" bookings, I have dining covered but did not quite understand how to get us on the same excursions. Anybody know what procedure to use to accomplish that?

We booked Blue Reef also, there are 5 of us so we will probably need a van. Last time in Costa Maya we had 7 adults and two kids in a van so could be possible to share. Thanks for the map. When we were there last time our nephew took us the long way around.
