  1. Go to insuremytrip.com. There's lots of plans to choose from. We use TravelGuard and never had and trouble with them. Never used Carnival, and we read enough reviews on CC to not want to purchase travel insurance from them.

Agree about TravelGuard. Very reasonable prices and many coverage options.

  2. I have to stay connected to work also - ugh. The internet package and speed are very good on Carnival. I think it even supports SKYPE if that is an option for you.

My boss and I text - that seems to work pretty well but there are times when I will just totally lose my signal

I don't have an IPhone - android though. Can you set your phone to only accept calls from numbers that you select? I am sure someone more tech savvy than I am can give you a better answer as far as the IPhone goes.

It's a pain having to work on vacation but some of us just can't avoid it.

  3. How long has it been since you sailed Carnival? Our first was September of 2011 (we have since completed 10 cruises) and we have never had to take the life jacket to mustard.

Right. Haven't had to take life jacket in years. I understand that it is because people were not securing the straps causing others to trip over them on the mad post muster dash.

  4. This may be the first time in all my years on CC, there were 28 posts in a thread an everyone was in full agreement. Hip Hip Hoorah..... I'm so happy to have this 'agreeable' experience. :)

Don't jinx it :D I see nothing rude at all. I cruise solo quite a bit and I would not expect to be asked to join my tablemates after dinner.

  5. The pool itself and the direct area around it, yes it was. The pizza and ice cream is also located to each side of the aft deck so there were occasionally kids in that area, but there were none in the pool chairs or pool/hot tubs. We also spent our time there while docked in Nassau, so it was relatively quiet anyway, and tons of chairs by the pool available.

    Thanks!

  6. I remember something similar-sounding my older sister used in the late 60s, called UNCURL. It was horrible. (I think they even had a commercial featuring the Girl from U.N.C.U.R.L (some of you may know what that is ...!)

I have very thick curly hair that does get frizzy with humidity. It's gotten curlier as I've gotten older. Whoa, it's really curly now! ;)

After I had my third child, I decided to just Embrace the Curl ... it's much easier and less time-consuming than trying to fight it! I just use a light mousse, finger curl, and go ...

OMG I remember this product!! LOL!

  7. There is shampoo and body wash in the shower. Little bars of soap also. No conditioner so make sure to pack some.

I like the shampoo and body wash. Some people don't. If you have a particular shampoo that you like, you may want to bring that as well.

  8. The cabana cost isn't "Per person"...it's for "up to" however many it holds...you may invite anyone you choose...and they may go with you!

That is not what OP meant. They are talking about tender priority with FTTF.

Yes you will all be able to go together. You may want to check in with Guest Services to see if they will help you with getting to the tender area a little easier. The special GS line for FTTF does come in handy.

    Have a great time!

  9. Thank you :) I am leaving tomorrow on the Carnival Imagination with my daughter who is adamant about adding her own cash to her S&S account! Since I don't want to lose out on my Carnival M/C points, I planned on closing it out for her at the end, get my points and give her a framed pic from the cruise and her money under her pillow the night we get back :)

That's awesome! Yes, you can do that. Have a great time!

  10. The Casino offers are great!

The cocktail party is cruise casual. Nothing fancy. They will serve cocktails and appetizers. Probably a few prizes given out.

The gifts vary and are plentiful! Last time we received coffee mugs, water bottles, beach towels, cookies, and more. You should have a "Drinks on Us" card in your cabin when you arrive.

There are special drawings in the casino just for those with Casino offer. Lots of cash given out and a free cruise.

Make sure that you introduce yourself to the casino hosts. They will take good care of you.

Also, check out the Carnival Board. Tons of specific info there. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=215

    Have a great time!
