Missed the word alcoholic, but still 8-10 drinks a day, spread out through the day [about a drink an hour] you would still be under 0.05.
The Captain through to the entertainment staff could not believe how much Aussies could drink and still be coherent. I'm not sure that they will offer 'Free'
drink packages again on New Year or Australia Day cruises
I helped with the number but I don't think that I had 10 alcoholic drinks a day
but then again if I did I wound't remember

I was on a celebrity ship for a cruise that included Australia Day (the first time that they had done this) many passengers had drink packages included after 6 days of a 8 day cruise they announced that over 150 thousand alcoholic drinks hag been served. They had run out of many mixes and spirits

Delightful review. Wanted to say I am glad some line finally sent a decent more upscale ship down your way.Celebrity my favorite overall line and Solstice is one of her better ships.
I agree
I have booked the Solstice for New year this December
Can any one tell me if there are any benefits to buying a drinks package online before the cruise or to buy on board
Had a package included on my last cruise included and enjoyed the experience of trying new wines and cocktails

Can anyone give suggestions for friends who want to world cruise to Australia from the UK. They both have pre-existing medical conditions but mobile and alert! Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. :)
My mother who is 84 today and has travelled widely and is going on a cruise on Sunday always pays with citibank platinum cc for the travel insurance. She has checked with the underwriters and they will cover her without any medical etc . She made a claim a few years ago and they paid although it took some time. There are also senior insurance agencies that so travel insurance

I know this has probably been discussed before but I can't find it.
Has anyone made a claim on their travel insurance included in their credit card. We have travelled many times and just gone with this travel insurance but we are wondering how good it would be if we had to make a claim
Thanks,
Janet
I have claimed on citibank cc underwriters were Zurich
Had to fly home during a cruise due to death in the family. They paid for the unused part of the cruise and for the flights home. This was from Vietnam.
I have taken out insurance with a seniors insurance for our nest trip to the Pacific islands. My mother who is over 80 had to stick to her citibank insurance coverage

i am on the Solstice next week and I want to know the problems any plusses to booking on board
I have booked on board before and kept the booking with Celebrity and moved the booking until I was ready to cruise. I had to ring Miami direct to make these changes. I was able to pay off the cruise on the web site using an Aus credit card that does not charge conversion fees
i have heard that there are fees now associated with changing cruises
If i buy a future cruise credit many specials that may occur I can not combine with my cruise credit
Thank you in advance for your input

believe from reports I've had that it's pretty much back to normal, but I'm sure you'll get a better answer with specifics, s there anything in particular?
Just saw my spelling - my phone changes my words
I wanted to know if the drop off is at the same place, can i be dropped off at the wharf and then to go upstairs to check in.
Do you know if George St is closed at the Circular Quay end

I'm finishing school next year and planning a cruise with my friends.
I've been on the Carnival Legend, however it's too family oriented...
P&O are too small!
What cruise should we better consider ??
Thanks in advance!

I have travelled with my early 20s daughter on a few cruise lines - last being voyager of the seas. If you can get the booking Carnival or Voyager would be great even if they seem family orientated. A different crowd comes out after dark Many time she would just be getting back to her cabin as we were going to breakfast.
On one cruise there were only 10 under 30s on the ship but late at night the crew comes out to play and she also had a good time on this ship as well.
Hope this helps but not sure if 17-18 year olds will get booking. There needs to be 1 18+ in each cabin (on paper at least)

Just booked cruise with 123 all inclusive, receive the invoice, it shows the $300 credit but nothing for bev package or gratuities, nvoice, I called and they said it would be a week before it showed on invoice. Any one else had this problem?
I have the same problem. I emailed Captains club and they confirmed that I have the bev package. I will take this email when I board in Jan.
Still nothing shows on my booking or invoice
Cruise love even though I have fully paid

When can we expect for this list for Premium package? Classic list came in couple of days.
Could we also have a list for Australia as the prices are different as we include the taxes and service charges in our prices. So far i have read that although the cost includes taxes etc Celebrity has not lifted the top rate of the drinks in the packages
eg a beers up to $8.00 are included in the package but the beers on Oz cruises cost $8.50 therefore not included. This is an example only (not sure of exact costings)

The ship was fantastic arraning for visas to leave Vietnam and geting a travel agent to arrange flights and transfer to the airport

We're a party of 4 flying in the night before to board a cruise on the Sun Princess to New Zealand. What is the cost of a taxi for 4 from the Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel to the dock? Would it be better to arrange for a transfer leaving from the airport to the dock? Thanks!
Have you thought of a mini bus the concierge could arrange this for you
You would need 2 sedan taxis for 4 of you plus luggage A mini bus can be ordered for specific pick up time
Less stress cost about the same as 2 taxis

I also went on the Strathmore to England in the early 60s. We returned from England about a year later on rhe Iberia. I remember crossing the equator - greasy pole fights and flour

There is no official car park on
cruise days but there is street parking near the entrance of the terminal prescient. We have parked there when we went on a 3 day cruise with no problems but this may have changed as the terminal was very new

I've been on Carnival ships overseas and found the experience to be brilliant. I wonder if Carnival are really treating there Australian arm seriously?
I was on the Spirit in July and I found none of the problems that Pattie had.
I agree the dining room entertainment was a little overdone. i am sure that I filled out a health questionere. I found our balcony cabin to be quite spacious compared to some other cruise ships - not tired or threadbare - a little bland and the bathroom could be updated. Our cabin steward came when we arrived and we made a request for feather pillows which he delivered before dinner and we also requested an ice bucket every night which arrived every night, although we did not see him again or his trolley our room was cleaned twice a day and we had a different towel animal and chocolates every night
The food was Ok The buffet was as all buffets good and bad depending on your choices. The same in the dining room
All i can say is that everyone's perceptions of the same experience is different. I enjoyed my cruise and have booked again for next year
