Drake,
First off, thank you so much for being our virtual tour guide.
We plan to cruise in November and have our fingers crossed that it will happen. I really want to put my toes in the sand for a few hours and this is our first stop. My mom uses a scooter so we would like to walk to a beach from the pier since it is such a hassle to get accessible rides anywhere. Can you suggest a beach within walking distance from the pier. It can be public or a resort that has day passes. I just had foot surgery so anything over a mile might be too much.
Once again, your service is greatly appreciated here🥰

The latest from our TA is and I quote "PLAN WITH CONFIDENCE FOR NOVEMBER"
This was told to her directly from her RC rep. So take it or leave it but things are looking good.
OMG I hope you are right.

I actually see 6-12 months as too short a time frame for a vaccine that is being rushed in front of a political push.
agreed. I just don't know how long I can go without cruising. It really is the best, most relaxing vacation I have found.

I expect the reaction from my friends to be jealousy and envy. My friends are reasonable people. My sister's reaction will be panic and condemnation. My sister's name is Karen.
Hahahahaha. Well that says it all doesn't it?

It may be a minor issue to you, but it is a major issue to me. Especially if expected to wear it for an extended period of time.
well I hope you realize they are going to become part of our outerwear for the foreseeable future. In fact, I am going to hazard a guess that they will be seen very often every flu season once this is over.

thanks for sharing this. Sadly everyone is so divided on the mask issue and it is such a minor issue, I really don't get it. It is divided down political sides and that is the worst part.
I don't want to wear pants or a bra but I do and don't feel my freedom is taken away from it. Those who don't want to cruise because of masks, fine, more room for us who don't care.

The prices are so high ($300ppd on shorter sailings) that only the most desperate would book the July sailings - might be the way RCI controls capacity.
Holy cow!

try posting this on the disabled thread. You will get the best answers there. You may get it on the tender but probably not on the motorcoach. Check the excursion list and see if they have a handicapped tour.

Interesting. I haven't tried it, but at least on Celebrity, our accessible cabin has the same category name as the regular cabins. So our Aquaclass cabin is an A1, same at the non HC one next to it. So on our recent cruise, there wasn't a price drop, but they added 3 perks the day after I booked. They did give me those perks.
If you are before final payment, why not cancel and immediately rebook? Would that work?
it might work but i wouldn't know the cost until it was canceled. It could possibly be more. I will see if there are any other cancelations, that might be a good option.

My mom and i always book a HC oceanview room on RCCI because she uses a scooter. At the time of purchase aren't they the same price as regular oceanview rooms? My issue is when there is a price drop. We can never get it because the other handicapped rooms are booked so technically that category is sold out.
Any insight would be helpful.

Sorry you didn't get turkey though.

Cruising in March with 8 kids. The only time available was late seating. There is of course My Time Dining, but I've heard that this is very challenging with a party of 11 to get seated with any expediency, even with reservations. I am concerned about two things:
1) That the kids will just be straight up hungry to be sitting down to eat dinner at 8 PM. BTW - when does this seating time usually let out?2) It seems like all of the evening "kid activities" are geared for the early seating. As in, we will be eating right over the top of kid activities for kids aged <5, 5- 8, 8-11, 12+. It seems really lame (am I wrong?) that they will get out of dinner and everything will be more or less over as far as this stuff.
I have tried working with RCCL on this. They are saying the early time is "closed" and that changes are very unlikely to happen.
Advice, sympathy, pro-tips please.
they are going to miss out on so much! That really sucks.
I would try changing it when you get on board, asking on email 30 days before, and if all else fails take the other commenters advice and take them to the windjammer, drop them off at kids club, and enjoy dinner as adults.

Here you go. Host Bob may delete the link. You do need to go in with a good sense of humor and take it in the spirit it was meant, just a fun thread.

We almost always sail out of Baltimore. I got a quick 4 ngt for my DD 18 bday on Indy. Can I say we had a great time but nothing beats the grandeur in my book? My dd commented at dinner that the crew is nice but not like those who work on Lady G. She also said she liked the smaller ships because you really only do the extras once and that's it.
We sail on her on November for 12 glorious nights where we will say goodbye to her and welcome Enchantment back for our next one.
Glad you had a good time!

I just get tired of EVERYONE asking us to fill out the survey.
