  1. Is the ferry still running to Caye Caulker. And are there any dive operators left over there? So would it be feasible to take the ferry over, dive there, then come back? Perhaps the more important question to ask is how dependable are the ferries? Or would it be better / more reliable to take the puddle jumpers flight from Belize City to ambergris to dive?
  2. Hi hisfirstm8 -- we're from Amelia Island! 🙂. We've done this trip before and will be returning in December. If you like to be in the water, Sea Sports Belize does a great job and has a trip that will take you to Hol Chan Shark Ray Alley -- sounds a lot like the trip mentioned above, but Sea Sports is independent. Their office is an easy walk from the cruise dock. The snorkeling there is easy -- and snorkeling with the nurse sharks, rays and turtles in an amazing experience if you've never done it before. The Hol Chan trip includes a stop on Cay Caulker. It's a fun stop for a drink -- go to the Split -- just ask - you can't miss it.
  3. Forgot to mention Sea Sports Belize out of Belize City -- easy walk from the cruise port, They have a couple of snorkeling options -- one out to the barrier reef and one to Hol Chan Shark Ray Alley with a stop at Caye Caulker. They do a lot of cruise ship business and do a good job.
  4. We've done this port many times. Either take the puddle jumper flight to Ambergris or the ferry to Caye Caulker. I've read that the flights have been less than reliable lately, so I'd probably opt for the ferry to Caulker. Easy to get a boat /dive company out to the reef when you get there -- amazing snorkeling. Then hang out at the Split until it's time to take the ferry back.
