  1. Hello all I have recently booked and paid in full two Pullmantur Cruises through a travel agent in Buenos Aires as that is where I am currently living. The travel agent says that Pullmantur will send the tickets/vouchers one month before sailing date. Is that the way they normally do this? Are they emailed? Thanks for your help

  2. I booked an 11 night on the Koningsdam yesterday Was a great price $1,349- single in an inside room I see that there are many vacant cabins so I guess the price will fall further but I am happy with the price I paid and with luck the upgrade Fairy may call!!

I am glad I booked. I booked this cruise only a few days ago and got a cabin on Deck 11 There are now no cabins left on deck 11 (I like the higher decks) and the cost has gone up by over $200

  3. Hi there, I am trying to make the final payment on my upcoming cruise and when I log into the Carnival site and I select the red 'Pay Now' button nothing happens. I cannot get to a screen where I input my credit card details to pay. What am I missing? Sadly I have been chatting with Carnival on Facebook as I cannot call them from the country I am currently in and they are no help at all. I appreciate any assistance Thank you

  4. When I was on the Ryndam several years ago there was a small free Steam/Sauna available for passengers, you did not need to pay the Spa Membership to use these. Is this still the same on Veendam and Zaandam? I have looked at the deck plans and it looks like this may be the case but was hoping that someone who has been on these ships lately can confirm. Thanks

  5. I phoned HAL regarding my two SA bookings. Got the fare reduced by AUD$640 on one and a small increase on the other (VA to BA) Each booking got the USD$100 drink voucher and USD$562- in total gratuities paid . Overall about $1600 AUD in savings. Thanks for bringing my attention to this sale. Worth the call to HAL

  6. We did that cruise (no Antarctica approach) on the Zaandam in a balcony due to a reasonable upsell from an OV on Main. This was good for three adults! But we really used the balcony very little: Glacier Alley, then hopping in and out for photos, and my mom bundled up and read on the lounger just to prove she loved having it! I don't think my husband set foot on it. However it is a very big window!

We are doing Alaska on the Zaandam sister Volendam, with 3 OVs and an inside (because that couple decided to come along after all the adjacent OV's were booked). After the experience with the balcony in SA, it seems for us being a few steps from the largest balcony on the ship is enough!

All that said, are you in the fore cluster of E cabins, or the ones by the aft elevator/doors? I have different answers...

    Thank you,I have 3328

  7. I sailed on both ships and I think they are the same class. I found Vision to be very enjoyable and expected Legend to be the same but of my 6 or 7 RC cruises, Legend was my least favorable ship. I cant recall why I found it very disappointing other than the "unique" men's room set up.

I would gladly sail Vision again but my one cruise on Legend will be my only one.

Hello, may I ask what was the 'unique' men's room setup.

  8. Hello all. I will be joining the Veendam in Rio De janeiro for the second part of a longer cruise which had started in Fort Lauderdale. From cruisers who have previously done this how is the boarding experience. What time are you usually allowed to board the ship? Any other information greatly appreciated. Thanks

  9. Hi there fellow CC's I am booked on the Amazon and Carnaval Explorer Feb 2017 and I am trying to find reviews from others who have done this cruise. I am particularly interested in the 'getting on and off' whilst in Rio for the first 3 nights and also the Amazon component. If any one can direct me to a review of this cruise last year I would be really grateful. Have a great day and thanks.

  10. My family was on anthem of the seas, this past week. I think royal needs to be more aware of passengers safety and avoiding storms. I think the only way for royal to hear us, is if all disgruntled passengers, boycott RCL until changes are made, such as the captain being fired. And addressing and making new regulations on how to handle storms. Look i have heard from many of people on board that captain thought he could out run this storm, and storm blew up and they got caught. Many meteorologists have stated this storm was expected. We passenger sneed to demand better safety. It can't alway be big cooperations dictating there bottom line to us. Remember without us, they would have empty ships. I have been loyal to royal for over 15 yrs, but I don't want to see this happen again, new jersey is a new port and they should set up different regulations and more training for there captains.

Since you ar enot going to use RCL again, can I have your 50% discount voucher that they were giving out to cruisers on that particular cruise. Thanks

  11. Sent you the following via Red Triangle option, but you may see it faster here:

THIS is obviously a poster making a Very BLATANT Attempt to rile the feathers of everyone on every single Hot Button Topic in cruising and most especially HAL.

Might I suggest this thread get pulled immediately?
