You probably can find seven Jacuzzis on the Carnival Glory, but did you know that there's actually an eighth?
In the event of a thunderstorm in the Caribbean, do you know why Conquest-class passengers are sitting pretty while Dream-class and Fantasy-class passengers are all wet?
Have you ever been to the adults-only late-night game show where anything goes?
Do you know the about the "secret" observation decks at the front of the ship, under the bridge, that offer spectacular views?
Do you know why it's so much cheaper to book an aft-wrap balcony cabin on the Conquest-class than it is on the Spirit-class or on NCL, RCCL, and Princess?
Can you locate the fish & chips restaurant or the Internet cafe on the Conquest-class ships? They're hiding in plain sight!
These "secrets" and more are revealed in this video I put together during our recent cruise on the Carnival Glory. Be sure to have the sound turned on, as there is narration to the video.

Looks like great information but the sound went off after the first 30 seconds

Yes, thats exactly what I was saying. I prefer RCCL. I was not trying to justrify anything, nor do I feel i need to.
I just wanted to point out what I saw as differences, and wanted to make it clear that I still had a great holiday so that I am not looked at as a poster that just complains about everything.
Thank you for posting your cruise experiance from your prespective. I thought you did it very well.

My DH and I (both 70) were at Half Moon Cay in Nov., absolutley beautiful! I too have a slight walking problem for any length due to my back. Although there are nice level paths thru the foliage it was a long way (to me) before we got to the restroom and bbq area. If you can afford it, as mentioned, rent a cabana and they will provide some transportation from the ship area to your cabana. The rest is on your own so get one close to these areas. Hope you can enjoy the ocean. The bottom is as cean and pristine as the beach. I definatley want to go back sometime!

For comparison:
She is talking about Carnival's menu. The post you gave is for HAL. They have never been anywhere alike as far as I know. Apples to oranges. Just sayin'.

More comments misconstruing the OP"s inocent question. Does an argument have to follow EVERY comment thats made?
They should have the posted the meeting as being in THE LIBRARY and forego the BAR part. The bar won't be open anyway.

We got an upgrade to an aft balcony cabin on Magic. Specifically, 7465...
This will be totally new to us. We've done everything from inside to OV to balcony. I love the balcony cabins but never had the opportunity to take an aft balcony.
If anyone has pictures please post... :) as well. O
h, and btw, I'm stupid, haven't done my homework, lazy, out of touch, ignorant, add your own insult. So, I've done it for you so you don't have to leave a nasty comment. Let's see how long that lasts ROFL.
Sorry you have to appologize so you won't get bashed. Sometimes no matter how we word our concerns somebody always has a negative thing to say whether it relative or not.
Good news is you will love your cabin. Aft views are highly coveted. There will be slightly more motion in the rear but not like the front of the ship. This is a very quiet location as no one passes your cabin except you closest neighbors. The cabin is very roomy and the balcony will be much deeper than the side balconys. The view of the wake is mesmorizing and relaxing. You may even be lucky enough to have a lounge chair.
The only small negative that I can think of is it's a longer walk to the front of the ship. But if you're in decent shape, think of it as another way to walk off those extra calories you will get from eating anything you want. HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME!

I'm so over formal nights-- so this sounds like a great idea to me. I don't agree with an extra charge though. Just give them one floor of the dining room nightly to dress up--every night if they wish. Same menu though.
Keep the other 2 floors as 'smart casual' for the full cruise.
Agree!

LOL! I love it!
THANK YOU! Your two cents is worth a MILLION! hint: Post this frequently!!!!

This was our 5th. We've also done 5 DCL, 2 RCCL, 1 X and 1 NCL. Hands down this food (in the dining room) was hands down the worst I've ever had on a cruise.
Could you elaborate on the different foods so we can kinda get others opinions as food is really hard to judge on such a blanket statement?. Unfortunatley, food is an important issue when I look for a cruise. Breeze is on my future bucket list and this is very discouraging. Some detailed descriptions would help alot. Thanks!

Why would you be bummed? I'd be happy I booked when I did, if prices went up.
I would never book with the expectation of getting a reduction/OBC. I booked 'cause I was happy with the price it was when I booked. If I end up getting a lower rate, it's just a bonus. But I certainly wouldn't be bummed if I didn't get one.
EXACTLY! Always book with the price you can live with. Everthing else is just frosting on the cake. (Some cakes are better without frosting).

Sorry, just trying to be helpful.
Canadians? Very rude.

I think you and your kids will love the ship it is beautiful.
Carnival has assigned dinner seating AND Your Time Dining like Norwegian. You choose which one your prefer when you book. We loved it!

Just off the Triumph and last day at sea, went for coffeee at 8:30. I thought I would watch the seasside theater for a while while the wife slept in. All the chairs facing the theater were occupied by towels, backpacks and beach bags. out of about 100 chairs facing the screen, about 5 upper level chairs were open. And out of all those chairs there were exactly 4 people actually sitting in them. Also all the chairs around the pool had towells. I was tempted to take all the towels and personal items and make a HUGE pile on the deck. I have never seen such a display of chair saving and Carnival doing nothing about it. Oh well I guess it's game on from now on
LOVE IT! And I would have helped you!

I always check PRICELINE for the date and compare prices in the area I want. They will list the prices and you don't have to book thru them if you don't want but gives prices, pictures and reviews of each hotel so you can choose what you like. They may not list ALL the hotels available but quite a variety.
Type in ORLANDO INTERNANTIONALAIRORT (mco)

No! Why would you do this? I'm sorry, but my wife just went to the ladies room, and she'll be back in 3 minutes. But, HEY, if you would like to sit here for those 3 minutes, that's fine. WHO WOULD DO THAT?????????:confused::confused:
My feelings exacty!

Google it and you will get their site with reviews. Considered GOOD with 88% satisfaction rating. Also type in hotel name/trip advisor and you get lots of reviews. We stayed in the one on St. Rd #84 and were very satisfied.

If you request tradional dining you can choose to sit alone or with others and it will be the same all week. If you chose MTD you can request to do either way each night as you enter the dining room. They will accomodate you if they can. We like MTD for the flexability.

Oh, I have figured it out......it would have been FREE.

With the enhancements on FOS, I wonder why they didn't add the breakfast to Johnny Rockets. Does't seem like it could have been that much of a deal. They are SO popular on the mega ships.
-
They can send Quantum, Anthem, and Oasis III anywhere. I'm not especially interested in paying more for a cruise that gives them more opportunities to ask me to pay for things. Older ships mean lower prices which means I can afford more cruises.

ADGREE: Too much of a price difference for me. Besides, I don't think I'd like those
huge ships with thousands of people and requiring more walking than I can tolerate.

I have read these threads over the years but have never had any personal experience with CHOGs or similar situations - Until my last cruise in March on the Triumph. My friend and I decided to go sit on the Lido deck and watch some of the goings on - Hairy Chest Contest and other activities. We found 2 loungers on the same row but separated by probably 5 or 6 loungers. Two of the loungers were being used and a couple kiddos talking to presumably their dad sitting in one of the loungers. No towel, no bag, no mag, no anything on the unused loungers. So, my friend and I drug one of the loungers to the end of the row where there was another lounger that did not have belongings on it so that we could enjoy the activities together. A short while later a lady came up and asked me if I got her lounger - I said no, I don't think so. She said that I did because her husband and kids saw me take it - What? I told her I did take a lounger but nothing was on it indicating that it was 'hers'. She gave me a scornful look and a few choice words and went over and sat with her husband and they and their kids talked smack about me until we left. Why in the world wouldn't her husband tell me it was his wife's lounger? I truly would have not taken it even though there was nothing on it to indicate it was being used. I mean he didn't say not a word to me as me and my friend drug that heavy thing down past him and his lounger to the end of the row. Yet when his wife got there he was all about how I 'stole' her lounger....But, to say nothing and then talk about me on and on and on really bothered me. They all taunted constantly saying stuff like 'ooooh, don't go to the bathroom, that lady will take your chair!', ...just stupid stuff like that. I wanted so badly to tell her and her ball-less wonder of a husband how he and her kids saw me take it and didn't say a word, but I was on vaca and I would never bring kids into an adult convo like she did. So, we just sat there and tried to ignore them. All the while having palpatations fretting over her thinking I took her chair and wanting so badly to tell her what really happened and to tell 'Dear Husband' to grow a dadgummed set. *deep breath* I feel better now, I have wanted to get this off my chest since March, lol. Happy Cruising All and beware of this horrible chair thief! :p
Some people seem to leave their brains at home (if they have any).
You did the right thing and acted as an adult with character. Don't worry any more about it. You were the bigger person!!!!

I can almost guarantee you will LOVE your bacony. You may find you use it more than you think. You did good changing since you couldn't get OBC or price adjustment.
I may be wrong (and someone wil correct me if I am), but if you are assigned a cabin you don't like, and you have time before sailing, call Carnival (or your TA) and they might change it for you. They might even tell you what else is available and let you choose.
Have a wonderful cruise! (I'm jealous, lol!)

The Passion Flan, I think that's what it was called, is pretty close to Creme Brûlée without the burnt topping. Most of the "newer" desserts I did not care for. Still managed to gain 6.6 pounds even with going to the gym!
The rest of the food is still great, along with MANY yummy drinks!:D
Flan is a very thick custard and Creme Brulee is a light and creamy custard. I love both, so are they "combining" them?

This sale is for new bookings only I believe.

I consider this a "suggested" time to help disperse crowds. We have always been at the port around 10:30 . If they have cleared your ship they usually board around 11 - 11:30. Sometimes there other unexpected delays but not usually. Go early and you will have more time on the ship. Have a wonderful cruise!
