  1. My son and daughter and grandson and nephew just got an upsell from a mini suite to a Haven courtyard penthouse. Total $2000. Kids were free. So it is like $500 a person for the upsell.

  2. Ok first of all your going to love the Haven. You will get one large bottle of water and a bottle of champagne in your room. With the UBP you do not get cans of soda. You can get soda at a bar in a cup though. You get to use the Haven restaurant, which is great. Your room comes with a phone that you can carry while on board. If someone needs you they call your room and the portable phone will ring while on the ship. Of course you get the use of the haven courtyard. Private pool (small) for the Haven guests. Sun deck, bar, sauna. You can even have lunch by the pool. You will get snacks every day in your room around 4 pm delivered by your butler. Tipping depends on how often you use the butler or concierge.

  3. We are sailing next month in the Haven on the Breakaway. We have the specialty dining package. I was trying to book on line the Cirque dream dinner show. I booked it and it's in my cart, but then it asks for payment via credit card. Doesn't this venue come with the diner package? It won't accept booking unless I pay for it.

  4. My wife and me, my son, daughter in law and grandson will be sailing on the Breakaway in August, my wife and me will be in the Haven Aft Penthouse. My son, daughter in law and grandson will be in a mini suite. My question is, if we all wanted to have dinner on our balcony, can we. Or will the butler tell us no cause they aren't in a haven room.

  5. I think the only way to go out is to park at pier. Yes it's a little more expensive but you can beat the convenience. You don't have to walk blocks with your luggage or take a cab. And when you get off the ship you are in you car in minutes after going through customs. Isn't your time worth a little money. Go for it and park at the pier. Have fun on your cruise,(out of NY)

  6. Why do you think you need a letter. If the mother is going and the child has a passport, they will not ask you for a letter. My daughter in law went on a cruise and her brother went with his son, and they didn't ask for a letter. And if they give you a problem just say the father us deceased. I'm sure they are not going to ask for a death certificate.

  7. First of all I am surprised they already assigned you a room. Usually they don't assign a room on guarantee rooms till your a week out. Check with your TA and check if that is right that they assigned you a room already.

  8. Parking at the pier is $40 per day. The parking is on the roof of the pier. You enter the pier on 55th street and stay right to up up to roof. Unload your luggage near the elevator and then park your car. I wouldn't get a here before 10:30, that give enough time for the lot to empty out.
