Our TA has always provided a list of the included choices and arranged for those items to be waiting in our suite. Also, if there is a special mixer or soda brand, that too, can be ordered thru your TA. Some items may not be available, but they always try their best.
enjoy your cruise!

I tried to arrange for flowers for our 50th anniversary and was told it would depend on where the ship was and what the local florist could arrange.

Fascinates me how people who may sit down for a 2-hour meal in an O restaurant (even in the GDR), seem to whine that they need the menu in advance.
I never, never, never whined. I just said that if I did know the menu I might change my meal plans for some of those who do whine all the time because they don't have a reservation for a specialty restaurant. Just thought I was trying to be a nice person. I guess this isn't the place to do that.
I certainly didn’t think you were whining!- 3

Vista Suites is how the thread started. The Oceania Suites face aft.
Oceania suites also face port and starboard… -
Yes, I got that, but I thought you meant the Oceania suites faced forward….
-
Actually, only 2 Oceania suites face aft. The rest of the Oceania suites face port or starboard.

I have requested fever tree tonic and fever tree ginger beer. It definitely is a step up. My wonderful travel agent has always arranged for it when requested.

Our first "O" cruise is coming up soon. I recently heard that our PH3 includes the services of a butler. What services can we expect to receive from our butler?
you are in for a treat! A butler can really help in many ways. They can provide specialty restaurant meals in your cabin (with some notice), maybe (no guarantees) help you to secure additional specialty restaurant reservations. Afternoon canapés are delivered by the butler (you will fill out a form with your choices in the morning). If you order room service breakfast, it will be delivered by the butler.
there are so many more things and there is a list somewhere on the website, as well as discussions here on cc. also, look for a butler letter provided by southerngary that he uses when he meets the butler. He uses it to introduce himself and let the butler know what he will require to make his cruise a memorable one.
im sure many more will chime in with things I’ve missed.
enjoy!

We did a Bermuda cruise on insignia last September. The cruise before us had a hurricane. The cruise after us also had a hurricane. Our week was fabulous. Great weather and great food.
it’s the luck of the draw….and a little cooperation from mother nature

Do you have the email to contact Ship Services? Would really appreciate it. TIA.

if you are on the Rotterdam or the westerdam it’s 800-541-1576. -
Hope it works for you. Can you please let me know?

I recently requested a specific table for dinner in the main dining room. You need to contact ship services for your ship. Have a couple of table numbers ready in case your first choice is already assigned. The agent will check if your choice is available and then send an email to the person in charge. I received a confirmation email in a couple of days confirming my choice.
good luck

They may have had the same arrangement that I currently have, where the drink package was stripped off of the former O-Life promotion. If that was the case, they would’ve had to buy the premium package from scratch, rather than paying an upgrade fee.
that would explain it.
I would still take it with a grain of salt. I’m sure you’ll have a great time. As everyone says, adjust your expectations. Nothing is perfect!.

Correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t he say that they upgraded the beverage pkg? If so, why did it cost $69 per person per day?
over 16 minutes to complain about slow bar service is a bit much, but I would agree sometimes it is hard to get a drink in the dining room.

Why does this bother you so? When people speak about what they’ve purchased or what they’ve done, do you really think they are bragging? They’re on a beautiful ship on holiday. Sometimes the extra $$ spent make the experience special for them. Just like low priced drinks consumed in your cabin make you happy. To each his own. We all enjoy life differently, don’t we?

You aren't outside your time, I think yopur time gors up until 7 days before you sail. You can ask to dine with another booked party too.
if I’m correct in Basors meaning, they are outside the time to arrange dinners. I think they said 60 days before cruise is the timing for their reservations.- 3

I’m not complaining😎😎 I Just didn’t remember seeing car and driver as an option. I have a friend who lives in one of our POC who was going to pick us up and do a POI tour. If we have a car and driver SM option (and my friend agrees) we can all enjoy each other’s reunion - bring a bottle of wine- without them having to worry about being a driver or parking.
we used the private car option pre covid at a few ports. Car option was only for 2 people. Van option was what we used for 4 people. The van option came with a much higher price.

Just a word of caution….
if your hair is very porous (as my gray hair is), you may wind up with a lavender strip or patch if you leave the purple shampoo on too long. My stylist recommends maybe once or twice a month and then use more often if needed.

And I thought we were the only ones. My husband always books our specialty dining and I know he's not up at midnight to get the best seat in town. We don't care for Jacques. It's a 60's style supper club and nothing like real French cooking but many people like it and I respect their views of what they think French cooking is. We decline and then others can have our spot. We also don't like Red Ginger. Some of the blandest Asian cooking I've ever tasted. People go on and on about the Miso-glazed Sea Bass. A lightly sweetened piece of fish in a leaf. Not my idea of good food. But again, that is my opinion and I respect those who think it is the greatest thing they've ever eaten. We all have different tastes and thank goodness for that.
But I think many people on O get real excited about getting their reservations. We have always had a decent meal in Polo and Toscano but then we've had decent meals in the dining room and Terrace also. I guess we feel we have to have at least a couple of specialty meals because "we have to".
I think a lot of it has to do with, it's only available to those who book the higher class rooms and why should they get what I want? It's because they paid a lot more than you did. When we fly business class we like the bigger and more comfortable seats but when dinner arrives we don't think the people in economy should eat what we're eating. We paid a lot of money for our seats and why should they get what we paid for? Yet there are many on O that are angry because the suite passengers can book as many nights as they want. You pay the money and you can too. It's pretty simple.
The food is good everywhere on board and nobody is going to go home hungry. Just enjoy yourselves and be happy you can afford to go on a cruise. There are a lot of people who can't.
bingo!
