  1. Hi all.....we will be cruising the Regal this March with a group of 8. We all want to book Sanctuary for the week and are wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what time to arrive at the port to help ensure that we make it up to Sanctuary before they sell out (if they do??). Any help would be much appreciated! TIA!

  2. Wondering if anyone knows how we book a private cabana for our stop at Amber Cove in the DR next March? So far there is only one excursion showing up for Amber Cove and it is a sightseeing tour. Thanks!

  3. We are now Princess devotees! When the kids were young we loved Disney, tried RC and it was just not the right fit/feeling so we ventured over to Princess and have found the right fit.

We are looking for a relaxing cruise....don't care too much about the entertainment as we are just as happy to sit on our balcony with a glass of wine at night as we are to go see a show. Our days are generally spent at the Retreat pool with a good book and a tropical drink.

We have always found the food to be very good. We love that Princess offers anytime dining so we can choose when and where we want to eat.

It will take a lot to ever pull us away from Princess!

  4. Sounds like a fabulous itinerary! We did the 12 night Med cruise on the Regal in 2014 and loved it. I would agree with what so many have said ...do your homework and book private tours. We saved so much money and time doing it that way. Rick Steves book was so very helpful. We loved Rome (wish we could have spent a week there), liked Ephesus, Istanbul and Athens. If you have any questions about the private tours we did I would be happy to share. I am a real planner and spent a lot of time researching the best private tour companies in the ports we visited.

  5. Is anyone else having problems with the Princess website today? I am looking into March 2017 cruises and the site keeps telling me that the departure date is too close to complete the booking! I know I can call Princess but I am not yet ready to book but am trying to find what cabins are still available etc.

  6. Thank you all for your replies. I called Princess and they explained that these were credits from our first Princess cruise that had never been applied to either of the more recent cruises. I guess I had assumed they were automatically applied but was informed that they are not. And yes, thankfully my husband opened the mail that day because I would have assumed they were junk mail and shredded them. There is nothing on the envelope that indicates they have anything to do with Princess. Getting ready to book my next cruise and will make sure our recent credits do get applied! Thanks again everyone!!:)

  7. So we just received two checks reimbursing my dh and me ($100 each)for future cruise credits we made on our last cruise in 2015. Very confused as to why they would do this. Trying to call them now. Has anyone else had this happen??

  8. We did the Grand Med last July and yes it was HOT!! The best advice I got was to bring an umbrella which at first I thought was ridiculous but ended up being the best thing I packed!

It was well over 100 degrees in Kusadasi and on our excursion to Pompeii and that umbrella was priceless! That and bringing water bottles on every excursion!

We absolutely did NOT notice many children on our cruise which actually surprised (pleasantly) us and those that were on board were all very well behaved.

Did not notice mosquitos at all in Venice.

  9. I prefer Sabatini's to CG....my husband prefers CG so we make sure to eat at both each cruise. I love the Burratta as my appetizer and get the Penne con Brasato di Manzo (braised short rib over penne, grana padano) as my main dish. It is so good that I want to lick the plate clean!!!
