Mike and I were just saying the same thing. We love to book Sanctuary (with our desired location) for the whole cruise and this new situation in Sanctuary sounds terrible!

Sydney has some great shopping! Much to Mike's dismay I did some damage last weekend at the end of our trip.

We usually book Sanctuary for our entire cruise but after seeing this new design I think we will be forgoing Sanctuary on our upcoming (haha not until 2025) Sun Princess cruise. No cushions is no good!

Leaving in a few weeks for a 2 week cruise around Australia and NZ (with a week driving around NZ afterwards) and really have no idea what to pack. Any suggestions/recommendations would be most appreciated. Thanks!

We have never eaten lunch in the MDR on any of our more than 20 cruises with Princess. We like the buffet or the the poolside grill.

Agree with you completely! We were on the Regal in Sept/Oct for the British Isles/TA cruise and there were so many people we saw hacking into the hands and then grabbing serving spoons for food in the buffet. We washed our hands before going into the buffet and I brought hand sanitizer that we used after getting our food and before eating.....Sadly I still got COVID. I was good and stayed in our cabin for 5 days. My husband never got it luckily!

Good plan! You mkight remember that I got COVID on our T/A with you last November on the RegL. Well....I got it again on the Regal last month. I had a Rx for Paxlovid (Medicare covered the cost fully) with me and took that as soon as I tested positive (the day after my symptoms began) and I think it definitely helped me. The downside of it is the most horrible taste in your mouth for the 5 days that you take it and 1 day after you stop.

Absolutely agree with you LACruiser88! We really missed it on our last Enchanted Princess cruise. Like you, we spend every evening in Vines and wish it would be included on all of the Princess ships.

So far we have been lucky enough to not run into this problem.

We try to get onboard as early as possible and then we run, not walk, to Sanctuary to book loungers for all of the sea days.

We used to be huge CG fans but after our last 2 cruises with very disappointing meals there we have given up on CG. The steaks were not of a higher quality and the waiter could not have been more disinterested in what he was doing. Sabatini's, on the other hand, started off iffy for us but we now love it! The food has been consistently good to excellent and the service is wonderful!

We were also on this cruise and the weather was perfect for the crossing. Like LACruiser88, we spent all 6 days in Sanctuary and it was wonderful!

I completely agree with you! We loved the Retreat pool and Sanctuary on the Regal but really disliked the retreat pool on the Enchanted. Felt much too closed in for our liking.

We have purchased the Enclave for our whole cruise multiple times in the past. While we enjoyed it we found we were not using it enough to justify the cost. So we will not be purchasing it going forward.

Same happened to me for a October 2025 cruise! Only option was a guarantee which is not something I am willing to take a chance on!

We always book Sanctuary but really think that Sanctuary on the Royal class ships are so much better than Sanctuary on the Grand class ships. The crew seemed to be so much more attentive and friendly on the Royal class and we liked the layout much more.

I always start my cruise off with a Dirty Banana. After that it's quite boring....Tanqueray and tonic with lots of lime.

Hi all....we are US based and will will be flying to Sydney and the cruising from Sydney to New Zealand. Post cruise we will be touring on our own around the North Island for a week. We have cruise insurance thru Holland but are looking for insurance recommendations for what we should be doing for the land portion. This is something we have not done before so any help is most appreciated! Jill
