  1. Oops! No, we are not going on that cruise on Saturday after all. I guess I forgot to tell anyone we had cancelled. We opted for a similar itinerary on a smaller ship and had a fantastic time. I hope your cruise is as good as ours. Our next cruise is Alaska out of Vancouver on June 17. But now that we know each other exists, we might end up meeting some day anyway.

I hope we can meet sometime. I drive the white Rav 4 that has "WOULD RATHER BE ON A CRUISE" on my back window, If you see me honk and we can meet. We are going to Alaska in May out of San Francisco, love that cruise.

  2. I think this is a rather funny coincidence, mrsihopes. We play that same game with the credit card, and you and I both live in Tehachapi. Wonder if it's something in the water?? Anyway, it's nice to know there is someone else up here in the clear air that cruises Princess as well.

    Nancy

LOL love playing credit card games. I see you are going on the same cruise we are this Saturday, will see you at the meet and greet.... Love it here in Tehachapi, nice clean air. See we have rain and a chance of snow coming. Yeah... we sure need it.

  3. Short answer. YES. You can pay on board. Just go to future consultant. You can use credit card on file or another one. Charges will not show on your shipboard account if you use that card. You can also just go into the Princess site and pay it yourself.

Thank you Pia, that is what I wanted to know. We pay off our credit card every month but want to pay it after the cut off date so we have an extra month to pay. Love the little bit of extra interest. :D Push comes to shove I will pay it before we leave, no biggie.....

  4. We are leaving for a cruise this Saturday the 1st of March. Our final payment will be due for our cruise in May while we are onboard. Can we make the final payment onboard with the Future Cruise consultant?

  5. I just received our stateroom assignment. Booked lowest interior guarantee and were assigned Oceanview on the Plaza deck. Yeah. This is my 15th cruise also, Elite next cruise in Jan. Yahoooooo:D

  6. IME, you don't need to tell them a thing. It's automatic. DH changed from Platinum to Elite awhile back on a B2B. BOTH cruises showed him as Platinum unfortunately. It takes Princess awhile to catch up to your current level.

I would just check your "My Princess" account once you're home and if you don't see your Jan. cruise change to Elite after about 2-3 weeks, then give the Captain's Circle Desk a call. Not sure if you have that much time in between the Dec. & Jan. cruises though.

Ok thank you, we have a little over a month in between our Dec cruise and our Jan cruise. thank you for the information appreciate it.

  7. On our cruise this last spring, I saw a few passengers with "Medallion" cards(before they changed the name to "Ruby").

It's possible that you had booked this cruise before you had attained this circle member level? I've read that for whatever reason, the cruise-personalizer doesn't self update if a person wasn't at their current level when they booked their cruise.

Just wondering I have 4 cruises booked and will be turning Elite after the 2nd one in Dec. Do I need to notify princess and have them change it to elite on my currently booked cruises. Want to make sure I get the Elite benefits on our Jan cruise.

  8. just got a email from Princess with this in the subject line its from LA for3-4 days i believe and the credit is only good on 7 plus day cruises i can forward the email if your like to see it let me know

  9. This special comes up on my Princess front page every time. It is a bit ambiguous, however. There are three boxes at the bottom of the page one says "Save up to $2000" next one says "3-Day Getaways from $199" and the third says "Support out Troops". You want the second box because if you read the rest of the verbiage it states "100% Princess Getaways, 100% off"

I attached a picture I took of my screen, but I have not been successful at uploading pictures to CC in the past. Crossing my fingers.

Do not know how come it is on some peoples and not others. Not on mine. But was able to book anyways.

  10. I was told I could apply it to my booked cruise in March 2014 so who knows who is right. I called and spoke with 2 different people who said it was ok for my my March cruise. I just called a third time and there is no restriction, she told me )Lisa) that the only requirement is that you use it by Dec 31 1014 which I will. I wrote down all three people I spoke to and the dates and times in case this comes up again.

I was told the same thing that it could be applied to a cruise already booked. She noted that in my file too that I was told that.
