Hi! The seaweed Situation has improved - for us. From Accra upwards to Bridgetown (the south of Barbados was mostly hit) is clear. And they have did very much to get rid of the rest on the beaches. No one has had complaints sind the middle of September where a bit drifted with the ocean.

There are wetlandings, but never where there are Stones or rocks. Reef shoes are always appropriate though.

If you Need a larger Taxi - JUST FOR YOURSELVES - I would advise reserving beforehand. They like to collect Groups for tours at the cruise terminal.

The Barbados Tourism site has a list of private Taxis.

And please remember - cruising is not sailing and sailing is not cruising. Even on the tallships, you feel everything. The boat "lives". It breathes, it talks and the wind sings through the sails.

Thank you Terry for your Updates. One question though. These sites were uneffected by the storm, but how are the roads to get there?? When the cruise ships arrive, how will the tourists be brought to These Areas? Any Information?

Nooo!!! The beaches on St. Vincent are volcanic black sand and can stain the clothes. I don't know of a beach direct near the church.

Of course you can take a taxi to the cave from the cruise terminal. The cost would be about 25US$ for the taxi each way. Then of course the cost of the cave tour. It would be wise to Combine this with a tour of a part of the Island. Try this site.
