Great, Jo!!! Yes, we have a wonderful time on our ships, don't we!!!! Ahoi!!
-
Well, I do hope there are some more travelers on board!!! I will leave a glass for you and yours, Jo!!!
-
Must I set the sails alone??? Oh, no!!!
-
Finally!!! Thank you, TallShipSailor!!!
-
Hello!!! I am starting a Roll Call - here, because we are listed, for the Grenadine Tour with the Royal Clipper, starting December 13, 2014. I know I have repeated myself, but I do that all the time! :p
Who's going to help me set the sails??? Eat the good Food??? Joke with the Crew???
Hope to hear from you soon!
-
We love Star Clippers!!! At least once a year!!! So lovely. And the People are Darling!!! The Roll calls are better here. Wait a bit. On the real Roll Call list, we are not listed. So not too many find Star Clippers. I will get one started here soon.
Take care!!!

Then make your way up to the open part of the bridge ready for sailaway at 10.00 p.m. The first sails will be being raised as the ship leaves the Port. Listen as well as watch.
Sailaway. Imagine this:- a warm tropical breeze, the stars shining above, tens of thousands of square feet of sail above you and what you hear when "listening". Yes - that will be you there - it can be quite emotional!!
muskatnuss - We have also done the Grenadines on the RC - excellent - would be nice of you to start a thread in due course. Hopefully I will too nearer the time for our Windwards trip. Have a super holiday.
Jo!!! You forgot the Champagne at Sailaway. I love to stand there, listen to Vangelis and watch the Sails as I sip a glass of Schampus ( as we say here). Tear-jerking!!! Yes!!! :o
I will start a Roll Call. I like it here. Usually it is more frequented in this area.
Till then!!!
-
You will enjoy that, Jo. We did the Windwards with the RC. Great!!! Doing the Grenadines this year in December. Can't wait!!

Sorry, I have to correct you.. We have sailed all of the ships several times. And the onboard account on all of the ships is in Euro. Of course you can pay with your CC. Also, towels und bath amenities are provided. Please read the complete cataloge for Information. Also about the sizes of the different catagories. Maybe your Agent hasn't travelled with them.
-
We did on all of our tours.
-
Yes, no Problem with the luggage. Suitcases are fine, and if they don't fit under the bed, then your Steward will take them for you and return them before you pack to go home. That happened to us 3 times. Our samsonite was a Little to fat! When are you on board in december???
-
Thank you. I have the booklet for 2013 - 2014 that was posted online. Just hoping for the newest. Will check in October again.
-
Hi! I'm still hoping for answers!!!
-
Well said, my friend!!! Thank you for your comments and for your birthday greetings!!!
your little nutmeg!!!

Does anyone know when the Booklets for the Landexcursions for Winter 2014 will be available. Maybe even to download?
I am interested in the Caribbean Land Excursions for the Royal Clipper.

Sailor, how does this affect booking from the UK but with an american address? That's alot of stress and money to fly from the UK to the US just for a free flight.....
-
If you say so..... I haven't misunderstood. Like I said. You have to identify yourself with a valid document. At least on Star Clippers.
-
I can book my cruises through a US TA using a friend's address and pay less but would lose the protection I gain from booking in the UK.
I don't think that is correct. As soon as you fill out the manifest, you would be requested to pay the difference. You can't board the ship under a false name. You have to identify yourself with an official document.

:) Yes!!! I never thought about going into the Dining room without shoes....Not even at home. Terasse yes, but room - no.
-
You are welcome. But no topless!! Men and women with T-Shirts or Shirts or blouses!!! *smile*
-
No no! You may wear shorts to breakfast and to lunch. There is only one Dining room. For dinner please - casual elegant. No Shorts or tees. I did see someone with bemuda Shorts and Long socks at dinner once. But that was at the beginning of the cruise. He put that back in the suitcase.
-
But, the OP's subject was that SC don't pay anything at all to the cabin stewards and waiters. I quote, "nothing". That is the subject. Not that tips are expected, and not that we as Europeans pay more than the Americans - that is another,,,,very important story. But another story.
-
Aha! Now I got it. I guess I am a bit slow. Campaign against Star Clippers. "Confirmed policy" from whom? The people who work there (and they do work hard) didn't know any of these things before the started work? Not even the captains and the officers?
-
Hello! Sorry Guys, but it is impossible to run a cruise ship with paying passagers without paying the stewards, waiters, etc a regular salary. Something was lost in the translation or the wind. The beds, the cabins, everything has to be cleaned and done regularly. How can you have this done when the workers only live from tips or gratuities?? It is a common practice, to put the earned money on an account instead of handing out cash. That was a practice Long ago.
Royal Clipper Dec. 13 Let's call it a Roll Call
