1. I cannot speak specifically about Cuz's but there is normally not much open in Barbados on Sundays.:(

That does not mean that they may not be open as sometimes once a ship is in port businesses do open.

I know I was not of much help but I hope you enjoy your cruise and your visit to Barbados.:)

Thank you, Keith! I appreciate it. No worries, I hope Cuz's is open, but I was anticipating that it might be closed. We're going to do the day pass at the Hilton, so it's okay if the shack isn't available. I do love flying fish, so fingers crossed! :)

  2. We brought a bottle brush and little bottle of dish soap and washed our bottles in the sink every night. For the bath a lot of people recommend the blow up yellow duck tubs. We just laid towels on the floor of the shower or held her while we showered together. Good luck!

We did the exact same thing, both systems worked well!

To the OP- congratulations!!! We sailed the Liberty of the Seas with our 10-month old on January. I did a full photo review, the link is in my signature. He's a "go with the flow" type of baby, so traveling with him was much easier than we anticipated. We brought grandma with us, so she was able to watch him overnight once so we could be alone and get some sleep.

We had a great time, and are booked for the Quantum next April. Our little guy will be with us again. Cruising with a baby is definitely a different kind of vacation, but if you plan well and manage your expectations, everyone can have a great time.

I love your food porn and I also take food pics whenever I can, which is all the time now! What kind of camera do you have? takes true to color pics and so clear - my food pics are ok but not as bright and clear as yours -
    Host Corkey
I have a Canon Rebel T3i. A gift from Wes when we found out Isaac was on the way. I wanted to be sure to have clear photos of him. It's a great camera!
  4.
This review has been awesome! And your little man is 'cray cray tots adorbs'! Liberty is supposed to be coming our way next year (Galveston) and i was looking for a recent review for her. She looks awesome and your review really did her justice. I can't wait to sail her. Unfortunately I'm looking at December 2015:eek:

Thanks for sharing and tell Isaac that he's got a fan club on CC! LOL!
Hi Tamara! Thank you so much, I'm glad the review was helpful. I hope the time flies before your cruise! We have to wait over a year to cruise again too, sigh. I told Isaac he's 'famous,' lol. Happy cruising! :)

I think Isaac enjoyed the view. LOL Actually it was okay- he slept peacefully through the entire meal. We got to savor our heavenly lunch :)

  6. Because there were so many things that looked really good, we all decided to order a little of everything we wanted and share our plates.

Conch fritters. Sweet and savory. As good as I remembered.

Grilled Jerk Wings. GET THESE! Oh my goodness, they were absolutely delicious. I think we got 3 orders of these. Wes still talks about them! They're one of his favorite foods- ever!

Heirloom tomato salad with gorgonzola and champagne vinaigrette. We couldn't stop eating this one. I tried to replicate it at home, but it's hardly the same. Perfect salad.

My favorite- Crab Cake BLT. Again, as good as I remembered. Lots of fresh lump crab, goes perfectly with the smoky bacon. Yum.

  7. We were seated within a minute of our arrival. We love the view here. It's right on the Intracoastal Waterway, and we saw some yachts dock in front of the restaurant so their passengers could have a nice lunch here.Must be nice. Hopefully we'll be able to do that someday.

Back to the lunch....here are the menus. The first is the list of the day's specials. I recommend ordering from the specials of the day here. I've done it twice in a row, and each time the food is fantastic!

  8. Once we got off the trolley, we crossed the street and walked back one block. We arrived at Coconuts around 2 PM. The lunch rush was over and there was plenty of seating. I think this was everyone's favorite meal on the whole trip. You can't go wrong at this restaurant!

  9.
Is asking for a fridge something that they can accommodate on any ship? Some ship cabins already have a fridge but I know some don't. We like to use for beverages.
I believe all cabins have a cooler containing sodas and snacks. I call it a cooler instead of a fridge because it keeps things cool, but not cold enough for milk, medicine, etc. It's similar to what you may see in a lot of hotel rooms. You can ask the cabin attendant to empty it so you can place your own beverages inside. If you need an actual mini-fridge like we had to keep things really cold, you can email special needs and request one to be set up in your cabin. :)
  10.
Hi Host Faith:
LOVE LOVE LOVE your pics and your live journal (as I call them) - wish I had known you were on the Liberty when you were so I could have rescheduled and tried to be with you - we were on the mar 1 and 6th sailing - Oasis before those - would have been nice to be with your family - esp that little cutey of yours ! On the Quantum, Isaac will have tons of aunts/uncles to babysit him - we'll all be fighting for him!! Host Corkey
Hi Host Corkey! Thank you so much! See you on the Quantum! We are so excited. Some more family just decided to cruise with us, so Isaac will be surrounded by lots of love! :)
  11. After reading everyone's responses and Chrystal's baby cruise review (and I will be reading the others soon), we pulled the trigger and booked the Allure last night. We are excited and thanks again for everyone's input.

Awesome, great choice for a 7 night cruise! Once I realized how much fun cruising was with Isaac, I got a little sad when I realized our cruise was only 4 nights. Looking forward to our longer cruise next year. Have a fantastic cruise :)

  12. Has anyone eaten at Aji Dulce? I see a lot of great Tripadvisor reviews, and it looks like a pretty new place.

My family and I are sailing Royal Caribbean's Quantum next year, and our stop in Old San Juan is from 3-10. We're going to El Morro, then wandering the city a bit, ending with dinner. Aji Dulce looks really good. Any feedback? Thanks so much.

  13. Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm reading exactly what I hoped to read!

And Chrystal, I have spent lots of time leading up to a cruise reading your reviews. Now that I am booking another, I'll have to read your Babymoon cruise and your cruise with your child.

One other question, my daughter won't be potty trained by the time we cruise. I know that she might not be able to go into the pools, but the splash zone was ok?

    Thanks again!

Aww thanks for reading! I hope they were helpful :)

The baby splash zone is fine for babies with swim diapers. So cute- Isaac didn't want to leave.

  14. Congratulations on your little one! We cruised with our 10-month old on the Liberty of the Seas in January, and had a fantastic time. You can check out my detailed photo review in my signature. Our son enjoyed the baby splash zone, and the baby play area. He was fascinated by the Dreamworks parade, and the crew were wonderful with him. There was always something new for him to see, and looking at the cruise through his eyes was so much fun. We had grandma and my aunt go with us, so DH and I could have some alone time once in a while. And in Cozumel, we hired a driver who had a carseat in his van. We did an island tour with lunch and beach time. It was great! Photos and details are in my review. I also have a list of products that were helpful to us as we traveled.

All that to say, if our experience on the Liberty was great, I would think the Allure would be even better. DH and I sailed the Allure for our babymoon, and we can't wait to take our little guy on that ship. Plenty to do, and plenty of spaces to chill out if baby is overstimulated.

Cruising with a baby is very different from cruising as a couple, but it's still a great value and a lot of fun. Happy cruising :)

  15. I just restarted WW again this past Saturday. I am a lifetime member from 1988, but you would never know it by looking at me. :o

I am also doing the Couch to 5K with a bunch of people at work, we run our first race in May too. I work out on the treadmill when I get home, when it warms up I will head outside. I would love to lose 40 pounds by February and our next cruise, but I am taking it one pound at a time.

Great job! I can't wait to run outside. The treadmill is cool, but the scenery is kind of boring :) I really like the Couch to 5K app. It pushes me just enough out of my comfort zone, but isn't pushing so hard that I get discouraged. I can actually finish each run, which is a good feeling.

Happy to report that I'm down 5 lbs! The WW app told me I need to slow down. Who would have thought, lol! I used most of my extra points allowance too. I'm sure everything will start to even out as I settle into my routine. That running sure did help though!

  16. We enjoyed our scenic ride. I held Isaac while Wes sat in the seat opposite with me, with the stroller. We took the Las Olas/Beach Link route, and stopped at the Courtyard by Marriott.

  17. After a couple hours, we were hungry so we decided to take the Sun Trolley to our lunch spot. I found a 2-for-1 coupon online. Small amount, but I love using a coupon whenever I can!

The Harbor Shops were right behind the hotel. You have a Publix supermarket, Total Wine, and several restaurants within walking distance. I think if we sail out of Fort Lauderdale again, we'll stay at Embassy Suites. This is a perfect location for families, as you can grab any last-minute needs, eat at some family-friendly spots, and get your wine, all in one spot!

The Publix market just happened to be a stop on the Sun Trolley route. We waited about 15 minutes for the trolley. I knew where each trolley was, thanks to the actual Sun Trolley app I added to my phone. It really came in handy.
