Courtlynndear that is not the sign that is so beautiful I saw it as we rode in to town and it would work if you did not want to make the walk to the other one. There is a sign on the far end of the beach that is great for photo's if you take the $5 double decker bus it will drive by it. I would post a photo if someone could tell me how to post it.

Just got back from cruise every thing you could want are cheaper in Progresso than Cozumel.

Just returned from cruise and there is a sign at the far end of beach. To me this would be like going to Key West and not getting a photo of the southern most point landmark. It is a short walk from the spot the free bus to town drops you off at. This was my 1st time to this port and it reminded me of the fishing village at the Costa Maya port look forward to going back to explore more.

I see over 80 people have viewed my post so I can only assume that the sign I see in advertisement is only that, and not something you can physically get to.

Can you walk to the multi color Progreso sign to get photo with family.

Can some one tell me about how much a taxi ride would cost from Puerta maya dock to Playa Mia for 9 people. We have booked this for our cruise trying to figure out budget needed for taxi.

Just returned from 4 day cruise on Fantasy out of Mobile, AL. I had read on these boards where the Quality Inn on Church St charged $5 a night to park. Just wanted to update they charged me $11.25 a day for a total of $45 for 4 days parking and no shuttle to ship. This could have been my fault for not calling in advance to verify the price and it was still cheaper than the port I know. They did come and pick us up at the port and brought us back to our car at the hotel. Still was surprised when we arrived that the price had changed we took 2 cars if I had known we would have loaded up in 1 car and parked at the port for less money.

Hope this helps others in planning your cruise out of Mobile, Al. on Fantasy.

What is the earliest you can make reservation for the entertainment onboard the Oasis. I just booked for Dec. 2016 and is like Going to Disney you have to stay up until midnight to make sure you get what you want when it opens up.

Right now NOLA only has 1 ship the Ecstasy it replaced the Truimph that just left for dry dock and starting in November the Conquest and Elation will both be sailing out of NOLA. So it looks like PC and NOLA will both gain a ship best that I can tell.

NOLA will have CCL Conquest and the CCL Elation so they are gaining a extra CCL ship in November. And RCCL Voyager OT Sea also NCL Spirit is sailing out of NOLA in Nov.

I was reading on another post that RCCL has said that Freedom of the sea would stay in PC Fla. but they would not comment past April 2012 what they where going to do with the Monarch of the sea.

We should start a petition to bring the Monarch to Mobile, Alabama.(LOL) It would be a great fit for our port and a nice upgrade to.

I know we won't be in the mood for a time share as we are not there long enough for that. From what I had seen they charged $40 a person it was not free like you get with a time share deal.

I have looked at the layout of the Freedom decks and we are staying in PR 7297 and I was wondering what the empty space is aft of our cabin. Thanks for any info on this matter.
