We were on one of the 12-night Enchantment sailings. Loved it. Hoping there is a 12-night Grandeur sailing in winter 2016.
Just might be joining you on the 2016 cruise. The wife and I are looking at either that one or the one on 12/22/16.
Since it will be a late 50th birthday present for me, thinking we might go all in and get a Grand Suite.

We were on the Adventure of the Seas for two weeks the end of November and I ate breakfast every day in the windjammer. I never had to get my own drinks or refills. Usually about 2 to 3 minutes after I sat down, someone was there to ask me if I needed anything to drink.
As for room service, like someone else said, if you put the card out the night before, it would have arrived on time and warm. Calling down at that time of the morning, they are going to fill the orders from the cards first then yours.

I thought our seapass was blue, but the wife said I must be colorblind, they are silver. Guess I didn't really pay attention to them.
-
Had them every night on the Adventure of the Seas 11/23 and 11/30 sailings.

Your seapass is the same as other passengers except for the higher Suite guests ( which his gold colored).
I just got back from a B2B on Adventure and had an aft JS on deck 7. My seapass was the regular blue like everyone one else.

Just got off the Adventure of the Seas yesterday. Great ship, great crew and great itinerary. That being said, I will NEVER sail out of San Juan again. We did 2 weeks on the Adventure (our 6th and 7th cruises) and have never had as many problems with the other passengers. I am an easy going person and have a very stressful job (911 dispatcher) so I am used to dealing with rude and/or obnoxious people.
It wasn't just the kids either. I was cruising with my father and his companion. My father is 75 and his companion is 88. I don't know how many times I had to protect them from getting run over. People wouldn't wait for you to get off the elevator, they just ran right on as we were trying to get off. You would be standing in line waiting to get into a show and they would let 10 to 15 people join them. Sitting in the dining room and several tables start banging on the glasses and singing. This wasn't just an occurrence every once in a while, it was every day.
I'm not sure if it was the culture difference or not, but I was actually glad to finally get off the ship. It was really sad because the crew was fabulous. Had some of the best bartenders we have ever had (Rashan and Mario in the Gravity Sports Bar) and our room steward was great. We got to know 3 or 4 other room stewards from walking in the hallways, and they always had something nice to say and we loved them. They all gave my wife hugs as we were leaving.
We talked to several other people on the cruise and they felt the same way as us. Definitely a culture difference that I didn't expect.

There is a way to turn off signatures, I just don't remember right now how. I think you go under your profile page and there is a spot there to turn off signatures.

Anyone else having trouble bringing the blog up? I can't get the page to load or if it does, it is only the 1st and 2nd parts.
Disregard, I see it is at the bottom. Guess it helps to look at all the page not just the top.

At $2.50 a can (if I remember correctly) it pays to buy the soda package if you are going to drink at least 3 sodas a day. I is really great if the ship you are going on has the freestyle machines, as you get a better variety than on ships that you have to go to the bars to get a soda.

The Grandeur of the Seas has only been in Baltimore for about 1 1/2 years. It replaced the Enchantment of the Seas. I don't see them replacing it quit yet. Also, the ships out of Baltimore have to be a certain height because of the bridges it has to go under.
-
I am an early riser also. My routine is to grab my soda cup and camera. Fill up the cup and then explore different areas of the ship to take pictures. Usually I am up before sunrise so I love taking pictures of the sunrise.

They'll show it on meyerwerft.com
Thanks!!!!

Does anyone have the website that shows the float out? I had it saved somewhere, but can't find it now.
Thanks! :)

We originally got balconies because I was a smoker. I quit that almost 2 years ago, but will always get a balcony. I am an early bird so I get up early and bring breakfast back for my wife to eat on the balcony. I enjoy sitting out on the balcony reading or just napping. The last few cruises, we have been able to get aft balconies and I just love that view!

Here is a link to the thread on what was done. She was in dry dock earlier this month.

When my dad was on Explorer late last year, the nightly Diamond Event was in the Mahraja Lounge.

I had no idea Quantum was going to China until I just read this thread. What is going on with Anthem?
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
When the Quantum leaves Bayonne in April 2015, Liberty of the Seas with come to Bayonne. Then for the winter season 2015/2016 Anthem will come to Bayonne and Liberty is going to Galviston. I believe Anthem will be doing winters in Bayonne and they will move another ship in to do summer sailings. It all has to do with Bermuda. The Quantum and Anthem wont fit in the harbor in Bermuda and that is a big part of cruising out of Bayonne during the summer.

My point - you can pick up noro anywhere. But the cruise ship news gets posted - and so many people worry - but you are more likely to get this at your local Wal-Mart than you are on a cruise ship.
I agree totally with you on this one. I've had friends say they would never cruise becuase of noro. They will stick to the all inclusive resorts. I asked them how do you know that they don't have problems going to XXX resort in Mexico, or Barbados, or where ever.
We hear about the norovirus on cruise ships becuase the CDC is a US Goverment Office. They can have norovirus at some resort in Mexico and we may never find out, becuase they don't have to inform the US of it.
I guess if they don't want to cruise, just gives me a better chance at getting a better cabin (lol).

I take it this is the soda package. I am looking at booking my first Carnival cruise on Carnival Liberty. From checking out some of the threads in here is seems like not all of the Carnival ships have fountain soda. Does the Liberty have fountain soda or is it cans? If it is fountain soda, do you get a souvenir cup?
Thanks for any help.
Really looking forward to my first Carnival cruise.

Yes, Carnival does have an all-you-can drink soda package. $6/day/person plus 15% tip. You purchase it the first day of the cruise. It also includes juices.
Steve
Thanks for the information.

My wife and I are looking at going on our first Carnival cruise next year. We have always cruised on RCCL. The question I have is do they have an all you can drink soda package? We are looking at cruising on the Carnival Liberty.
On Royal, you get a souvenir cup that you can get filled at any bar or on some ships the freestyle machine.
Thanks for any assistance you can give me. :)

My wife and I had our vow renewal on the Freedom in 2012. We purchased a package through RCCL. We had our vow renewal in the Chapel on the top deck and then we had a "reception" in Cloud Nine. The reception was just Champagne and Strawberries for us.

From earlier talks on here about Bermuda and the Quantum, it is too big for the channel. Bermuda was talking about building a new pier, but I think that fell through. So, I don't believe it will be going to Bermuda.

Someone posted earlier today that after that, she is going to Australia.

Thanks for all the video's. I just booked Grandeur for 12/2016. It will be my first time on the Grandeur so I am able to get some good information.
