I agree. I was discussing irritable bowel syndrome, not inflammatory bowel disease. They are indeed completely different & require different treatments.

Giovanni's has excellent food but I would not take children there. It is dark, seats are close together & service is leisurely. These are all good things btw :D. I would not say the food is really child-friendly unless they have more "grownup" tastes. It's a lot of money to pay for a half-eaten plate of spaghetti. Go to Johnny Rockets.

Ocean view balcony every time!
Don't worry about distances, everywhere on the ship is either far from somewhere or close to somewhere.

Hi, whatever you do you will have an awesome time.
Must see ALL the shows. Make reservations ASAP even if you are unsure of your schedule. Way easier to change a reservation than make a new one. Start checking daily 120 days out.
Take a leisurely walk around the ship, deck by deck. There are so many hidden gems.
Try every restaurant they are all good. Can't tell you about specialty restaurants, we never went. Have a drink of the day.
Freshly squeezed orange juice @ cafe promenade.
Hot chocolate & cookies from room service before bed.
Chips, salsa, guacamole @ wipeout cafe.
Roast brisket sandwich @ park cafe (ask for extra gravy). Also profiteroles.
Anything from Johnny rockets.
Donuts on the Boardwalk.
Enjoy, I'm jealous.

You can get actual hot chocolate @ park cafe& cafe promenade. They use steamed milk & some kind of syrup & whipped cream. Yum

Get the freshly squeezed orange juice from cafe promenade or MDR breakfast. So good. I must have drank 10 a day.
When we first boarded, we went to each bar & restaurant on promenade deck 3 or 4 times (1 after the other)' got a bunch of water bottles to keep in the room. Very easy & convenient.
They say you can only get 1 beverage @ a time, but you literally get your drink, walk out & walk back in to get another (if for instance you want a coffee & oj in the morning).
Check the website daily to see when reservations are open & then make them for everything you possibly can. Way simpler to change a reservation than make a new one.
Enjoy!

Lol. It's like having grandchildren, you get to enjoy them & then send them home. They are wonderful dogs.

Weird thing...on all the cruises I have been on I have seen many seasick adults, but no seasick children. Wonder why?

We were on Oasis a few weeks ago and overall found the food to be tasty & good quality. Our problem with the MDR was that each menu had so many things that we don't enjoy (seafood, lamb, pork, curry) that we ended up going elsewhere. We had no problem with that as there were many options in WJ etc. The 2 times we did eat in MDR we had excellent servers.

I bought some in Florida before we left & some on the ship, anywhere from $5 - $8 for the small ones. Imagine my chagrin when I saw them a week later in my local grocery store for $1.

OT: Thanks! Yes, that's our Bichon Frise. His name is Chewbacca, but we call him Chewie. He is eight years old. That pic is from when he was younger. He is the perfect dog for us. VERY low energy!!!
Robin
They are the best. Ours was 14 when he died last month :( & was lovely until the end. Although Murphy was very high energy lol, always doing the blitz.
Ps sorry for derailing the thread.

Robin, is that a picture of your pup? So cute.

We stayed at Hotel Indigo. Nice, clean, well-priced, a couple of blocks to the beach.
-
We flew in to West Palm Beach airport. It was considerably cheaper. We saved so much that we took a limo to the port. :)
-
Get on the elevator. Press the "gangway" button. Walk off ship. Have a great day.

I was on Oasis right after you. We received the email & voicemail about the delay. everyone was held in the terminal until about 1 pm. They were constantly cleaning & sanitizing the ship. Purell everywhere. I tried to inform them that Norwalk is a virus & Purell is an antibacterial but to no avail.
