  1. Canada requires it unfortunately and all three of our cruises have stops there. I keep hoping it will change before we sail!
  2. Why do you say it appears they aren’t doing them now?
  3. Did they contact you to take the test or did you remind them you are B2B?
  4. That is wonderful information! Thank you so much!!
  5. We (Americans) will have to take our first Covid test to cruise with HAL from Rotterdam. I am trying to figure out how that works. We will be in Italy 14 days before boarding and Rotterdam the day before boarding. I have reached out to both hotels we are staying in after we become eligible to take the test to see if they have suggestions on how to get the test. I’m thinking by now some of you must have taken a test while overseas - how did you do it?
  6. From my TA……since you are on back to backs they will do the tests for you (usually 2 days before you dock) and they will charge you for them.
  7. I just rechecked for my flights and on Delta from Atlanta to Rome and within the US and on KLM from Florence to Netherlands no test is required.
  8. That’s good - hope they are still doing that. I’ve asked my TA, but no answer yet. Was it complimentary? Did they contact you or did you have to arrange to have the test done?
  9. Since HAL requires a Covid test (PCR up to 72 hours prior or Antigen up to 2 days prior), how does that work when you are doing B2B cruises? Do they offer the test onboard for passengers staying onboard for the next cruise or are the passengers responsible for getting a test on their own?
  10. With Canada I initially thought a test wasn’t required, but they direct you to the section specifically for cruise ship and then it is required. PCR up to 72 hours before or antigen up to 2 days before Where did you see Delta requires a test?
  11. Thank you! Good picture and info. I’ll use multiple adapters while traveling on land in Europe before the cruise, but looks like I’ll only need one while on board.
  12. I have several adapters to convert plugs from European plugs to US plugs (doesn’t include a transformer to convert the voltage). We aren’t taking anything that requires a converter, but I have a converter that includes plug types used elsewhere in the world and I am wondering if I need to take the converter to be able to use another type of power outlet. Are power outlets in the rooms on the Zaandam all either European or US style or is there another style of plug in the room?
  13. Not used them. Have you tried finding reviews on trip advisor?
  14. Thank you so much for sharing that info. I had been looking for the June 15 update but couldn’t find anything specifically about planes. No idea why that site didn’t show up in my searches.
  15. That was wonderful news to wake up to today. I’m with those hoping the cruise ships drop testing for embarkation.
  16. Something went wrong with the previous post and I couldn’t type anything. Anyway, I wanted to ask what do you like about European shoes vs US shoes?
  17. Oh yeah, I had forgotten…those port talks were fantastic!
  18. Some of the best finds are when you are lost and off the map!
  19. That’s sad that the shore exc people aren’t knowledgeable anymore. I do tons of research before leaving home to determine what we will do but still enjoy hearing the port talks and have gotten good information that sometimes alters our plans.
  20. Thanks! I haven’t seen port maps distributed at port talks, just the ones the speaker puts on the screen…..but it has been a few years since I cruised. Are you saying if I go to the EXC desk or the port talk the port map (like the one they used to give us) will be available or is it another type of port map?
