it is up to the airline to get you from Point A to Point B.

I travel frequently for work and the situation is the same. When delays and cancellations occur (and they occur frequently), the airlines are the best resource to get you rebooked. My travel agent does not have the resources/ability to make the changes that the airline can do (without calling the airline and having them do it).

depending on the airline and the airport, sometimes the airlines can be useless and not the best resource. On Monday afternoon i had flight get canceled, this airline only does 2 flights a day out of the airport. The evening flight was all booked up with no availability and the flight next day had some standby availability with no guarantee of getting a seat. I did not want to take the risk of being stuck at the airport an extra day on my expense and not getting on a flight.

This airline does not have any alliance or partnership with other airlines, they were unable to rebook me on a different airline

I needed to fly  on the same day and my only choice was to cancel that flight and rebook a very expensive last minute flight on a different airline in the evening that had availability with a free seat i was able to book

I’ll be on the Breakaway for the October 20 2024 cruise out of NYC.  We were informed a month or so back that Bar Harbor was removed & replaced with Boston.  On that site, I see the Breakaway listed for cruises before & after ours.  I wonder how many will actually end up going?  Annoyed that mine is off but so many others appear to be going to Bar Harbor.

i am also on the breakaway, the week prior on the October 13 cruise. bar harbor  is not listed for the dates Norwegian said we are suppose to be there on October 16. When i look at the Boston port schedule website, i see it shows the breakaway as a port of call visit on october 15. October 15 is the day we are suppose to be in Portland according to Portland port schedule and Norwegian itinerary

So far Norwegian has not sent any itinerary changes. something is going to change and i think they are waiting until the middle of June when final payment is due

another oddity is all of Halifax shore excursion have a late afternoon start time of around 330pm, Halifax port schedule shows the arrival time of 3pm. It seems like someone at the shore excursion department knows about the late arrive however Norwegian has not sent out any notification about the port time change.

Norwegian communication is really really lacking about port time changes and itinerary changes. It sucks they are waiting until final payment to send any out, if any.

Other cruise lines do extra points for suites or singles.  What perks does NCL offer that makes you think that they have the best perks.

i like that NCL offers discounts based on your level. various % off of purchasing photos, shore excursions, spa, etc. its a small discount but it is something

i repurpose the fanny pacs i received. I cut off the straps and just use it as a normal pouch to store various things like usb cables and adapters

  5. this is a question for your travel agent

If your travel agent purchased it as a gift to you, this is cruise cash. If it was a travel agent booking perk, it should of credited as some kind of onboard credit. some travel agent onboard credit can be non refundable

Princess canceled the stop so I canceled them; booked NCL. From what I've read as long as the cruise line booked a slot before the town voted restrictions, Nov 22, they will honor it for the 2024 season. After that it doen't look good.

Norwegian Breakaway has a few Canada/New England in September and October where bar harbor is going to be dropped from the itinerary based on the port schedule. so far norwegian has not made anything official yet.

If bar harbor is a bucket list port for you, check the port official ship schedule to make sure the ship is scheduled to go: https://maine.portcall.com/#!?tab=2&port=Bar Harbor

according to Norwegian website, breakaway is scheduled to visit bar harbor on September 25, October 16 and October 23. These dates is not on the port schedule, so something is going either with Norwegian or port

Pyrotechnics on a ship at sea. What could go wrong with that? 🫣

back in the day when Norwegian first introduce the breakaway class, they had 2 ships that used to do fireworks at sea. they no longer do that now due to other reason (like "cost savings")

Disney is the only cruise line that still does fireworks on every sailing

  8. no fireworks . they are theme activity:
