I am cruising this Sunday with family and my husband is now to sick to join us...Do I notify NCL before the cruise or do it when we arrive? I prepaid gratiuity, so do I still pay for his even though he's not on the ship? It would of been just the two of us in the cabin.

I always request for the double to be singles when I see the room steward...I hand him a twenty and its usually done right awway,

On our last two cruies they phoned before they arrive with the room service. We also tip $2-3 for the service.

64 days on the Escape out of NY in a "Haven"!

My husband & I will be on the Escape in the haven (separate cabin) with my brother, wife & nephew. We have the dining package as a promotion, but since my nephew is a third guest he does not receive it , so was wondering since I'm a platnium member if I could let my nephew use the certificate?

We are booked in a Haven with the drink & dining packages that was included at the time of booking. A additional person was later added under a later promotion, so would like to know if he will also get those packages?

I have made reservations at specialy restaurants and would like to add another person to those reservations. Do I have to wait to get on the ship (we are in the haven) to do this or can I contact NCL before hand?

I will be on the Dawn in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if I purchased future cruise certificates can I use them on a cruise already booked, but have not made final payment? I'm thinking they are only used for a deposit on a future cruise, but thought it might be worth asking.

I was wondering if there are any taxis in St George when you get of the NCL ferry? My friend & I would like to go to Tobacco Bay but she can not walk that far.

We are booked on the Escape Oct 21-28 going to the Bahamas..The Escape does not do Bermuda again till the spring of 2019.

Get a porter to help you with your luggage. They go through a shorter line at customs. We handed him a twenty, and it was well worth it.

I will be on Brilliance tomorrow. I know you are allowed to bring on two bottles of wine, but was wondering if you have to carry it on or can I put in in my suitcase? I'm thinking I have to carry it on, but wanted to check.

Yes, this will be our third time using the thermal spa and enjoy every moment of it. We are on the cruise leaving on the 21st and have already pre-paid for it at $119pp.

Do you pay gratitude on the free packages (unlimited drinks, speciality restaurants, etc. ) when staying in the haven? I do realize you tip your butler.

I was wondering if the Dawn had ever been stretched ? I just met a couple that said they went on the Dawn after it was stretched. I know the old Majesty was. We went on the Dawn out of New York the first time, so perhaps before it came to Boston it was stretched?

We did sail when there in school, the parents just take them out.

My husband and I cruised on the breakaway (4th time) the week of Feb 28 in a haven for the first time. We loved the idea of the haven,unfortunately our experience was not a good one.

We were inundated with kids! The first few days at sea they took over the pools, the hot tubs, jumping on the lounge chairs, running around and just very noisy. They were even allowed to sit at the bar. I mention something to the concierge one day as I was leaving the haven and he didn't seem to care. One woman actually spoke to the kids to be quiet they were giving her a headache. Towards the end of the week they were a little better, perhaps the conierge did speak to them, but still at certain times was noisy.

We totally enjoyed our butler Romana and being in a suite. I do realize that it's not always that way, but I don't know if spend that kind of money again . We can be aggravated for a lot less money. I don't know what ncl can do about all these children in the haven,but something needs to be done.

This will be our 4th time on the breakaway, but 1st time in haven. We enjoyed the steam room in the thermal spa and was wondering if the haven has one? I know they have a sauna & hot tubs in the haven.

Do the passengers all have to get off in NJ? What about people that have flights on Saturday?

We drive down from Mass to NY and stay in Conn the day before the cruise. That way we only have a two hour drive on Sunday.

We drive down from south of Boston and stay at the Best Western in North Haven Conn right of Rt 91 Exit 12. Two hours down, then two hours the next morning to the pier. We will be doing this again the end of February.

Thanks - what did you think about it? Would you recommend it? I will be traveling solo and it sounds like a worthy splurge!

We enjoyed it very much! The meal we had was good (not outstanding) but the unlimited amount of wines they paired with the food and the wonderful people we met made it worth it. Also, the cordial (got to choose) at the end of the meal in the lounge was nice touch.
