  1. The cabins we are looking at are not the true aft cabins. From the deck plans, the last ten cabins on either side appear to have extended/deeper balconies. Some Celebrity Ships have the last eight cabins on either side, on a certain deck, have extended balconies that are not highly publicized, and referred to on here as the Sweet Sixteen, and coveted by many cruisers. We are hoping for a similar well kept secret on Jewel.
  2. Looking at the aft deck plans of Jewel and wondering if the cabins at the back have extended balconies. Descriptions on the deck plans don't state oversize balconies, but wondering if its a well kept secret. Looking particularly at deck 7. I have tried searching the Cabin Compilation thread with no luck. Thanks for any insight.
  3. The first thing we did when I was tested Covid positive was call Royal Caribbean. I pressed the numbers required to get through to the Covid dept and the representative couldn't have been more helpful. He knew exactly what was required for boarding and was able to check that the ports we were visiting would accept the COR. Got my PCR test done and have an appointment booked with my doctor to get a COR. I am taking the COR requirements with me to ensure the letter meets Royal's standards. This will alleviate any fears we had of testing positive last minute before the cruise, embarkation or during the cruise. People can still test positive 90 days after getting Covid so the COR along with proof of vaccination is Royal's way of doing their best to ensure the health and safety of all its passengers.
  4. Would I be correct that RCL accepted the Rapid ResponseTest provided by the provincial government? I reside in Saskatchewan where we have a number of test kits in stock by the same manufacturer that I could use but I wasn't sure they would accept them as we can be tested in Canada before we leave for our cruise out of Amsterdam in July.
  5. It’s been awhile since our last RCCI cruise and we are wondering what is being offered in the diamond lounge these days, especially with things opening up more recently. Do they still have coffee machines that make a variety of fresh beverages? Do they have a good variety of caffeine free teas? (Is there a better selection in Windjammer?) What hours can DL be accessed? Still 24/7? What are the breakfast options in Diamond club? Was it busy? We will be on Vision of the Seas (Radiance class). Thanks to recent cruisers who can relay their experience. Dianne
  6. We will be sailing out of Amsterdam, our first time cruising this far north and we will be spending a four days in Amsterdam post cruise. I have read various threads about unpredictable weather and the need for weatherproof attire. As a person who normally needs an extra layer, I'm wondering how many layers I need to bring and how many summer outfits to take! Any advice on what to pack is greatly appreciated. Dianne
