They will make you leave the ship with your luggage and then re-board, security, keys, etc
From everything I've been told this is incorrect. You should have a letter in your cabin on the last night explaining the procedures for the port, normally meet in certain location to be escorted thru customs get new sail n sign cards etc. we'll be doing our first b2b on the Valor in September.

Try looking at cruise line rooms dot com (all one) for pictures of you cabin. Lot of them there

They plan cruise schedules 2+ years in advance. Shipyard only schedules about a year, and carnival has to take what they can from the shipyard. While they are a large client of the yard, they have larger clients (container ships, cargo ships, tanker).

Yes cruise cash is use it or lose it, however I've always boarded with about$500 crucash and if need be I play a little in the slots then cash out if I have extra.

If you booked early saver,There's a $50pp cancellation fee, the balance of deposit will be held for 2 years as a future cruise credit. Anything paid over the deposit will be refunded to original method of pmt. as previous poster stated, a new gift card would be issued.

Won't cancel your check in time, but you will join regular boarding. Realize that this is a "check in time" and NOT a boarding time.

Back in 2010 the ecstasy hit the gangway in Galveston when she was turning around in the channel. Did about $3 million in damages. We had to board via deck 0.

That's funny....I'm booked for Nov. and they did the same thing to me, but in reverse!!! Makes no sense, but I guess it does to them! lol...I don't care long as i'm on it! hahaha
Allows more time on Cozumel, shorter distance to Galveston from Progresso.

When we were on Liberty 4/9, there was noticeable vibrations in the aft dining room. Don't know if this could be that problem advancing.

The problem lies in the fact the one cruise ends in Vancouver and the ship deadheads to Seattle (if memory serves). No passengers can make the deadhead move.

Texas TABC laws are quite archaic to say the least. They Tax all Liquor and Tobacco products while bought in port, and will tax all Liquor and Tobacco products coming thru Texas after you get off the ship. They have TABC agents standing in the exit lobby watching for people that have Liquor they have picked up from the ship to make sure the taxes are paid on it. didn't used to be so strict, but after years of people thumbing their noses at the taxes, they now are posting these agents to make sure they collect the State Taxes, even if you are just passing thru, they will collect the taxes. Just another way to collect a different type of tax so they don't have to start a state income tax..

Book a short (depending on location) cruise 3,4 or 5 days. Seen som 3 days out of Miami & LA about $150pp. If I lived close enough, that's what I'd do.

We are cruising May 16th. The change is no big deal. Strange thing is I no longer have any options to book excursions online. The only things offered are FTTF and Home Port Advisory. I can't imagine they are all booked.
They are probably in process of rescheduling all booked excursions and have to reset all current excursions. I'd guess they'll be available again next week.

It is only available on the Magic for now. It was added during her dry dock.

It is now mandatory as carnival has to report passenger list to Homeland Security 48 hrs prior to departure.

And they just recently opened a 3rd berth so now 3 carnival corporation ships can dock there at the same time. Last week we were docked there on the Liberty and a princess ship docked across from us.

We're just off the Liberty and they asked for all guests to be out of their staterooms by 8:30AM so the stewards could get them turned for the next cruise. Everybody was off the ship by 9:30-10.

We try n get ours just as soon as we are booked, or once they are released. Could be a year, could be 6 months or 2 weeks.

That's why I book under ES when they have reduced deposit sale on. Have 8 booked thru 2018 with first 2 paid off, pay off 1at a time, usually have paid off a good 3-6 months prior to final payment date.

Oh, I think I have it, too. Booked on Conquest in June, Glory in Feb and Legend next May. Does 3 cruises in a 1 year period mean I have a problem?
If you do, then I've got an accute case also. Have 8 booked between now and April 2018-3 (6) of them b2b's

NOLA a little cheaper than Galveston. NOLA you get a little river view on your departure from what I've been told, Galveston is straight into the Gulf. I believe Liberty is a little larger than Triumph, but both have the 2.0 upgrades. Flip a coin see who wins: of course you win, IT'S A CRUISE!! Either one have fun
