Just got an email from the upgrade fairy to go from an inside guarantee to a balcony for $129 pp. Seems to good to pass up especially since I got such a great deal to begin with.

We were on the Allure over labor day. The day after my adult DD was at the night club there was a $50 charge on her bill (yes we check every day) she went down to CS and it seems a waiter decided to give himself a $50 tip (that is what she was told by CS) She had the drink package so it was easy to spot on the bill. Shame there was one bad apple among those who work so hard.

Does your final payment have to be made before you get you on board credit? On the same day I sent in the necessary paperwork to both princess (jan) and hal (dec) for cruises I have planned. The hal one was credited right away and still nothing on princess. Made my final payment on hal but not on princess yet.

I just returned on the Allure to FLL. I had read on the boards that you could use the mobile app to go through customs. I downloaded the app but when I tried to use it it did not show port everglades as a destination or was there any signage in the terminal. Has anyone had any luck with this?

That's an excellent deal! I think I'd go twice to Giovanni's though.

We do like Giovannis and may change it after tonight. I think their filet is better than chopa job

Great ship. Went to Giovannis to see if they had any specials for tonight. Ended up getting reservation for tonight in Giovannis and tomorrow night at chops and the best part is it is only $15 for 2 people at each restaurant. Couldnt pass it up. It is not advertised you have to ask for it

We usually get that call before every cruise. I agree, it's frustrating because you are hoping it's the upgrade call.

I just got the strangest call from RC. I sailbon the Allure on Sunday so when I saw the caller ID come up I thought it was the upgrade fairy. Instead it was someone from guest services telling me to have a good cruise. If they are looking to cut expenses this would be the place. I am a diamond member but have never received a call like this has anyone else?

I can't remember from my last cruise whether the central park cafe is open during embarkation? Also do any of the restaurants on the Allure offer special pricing for the first night dinning? I know the Freedom did all the time. Thanks

I down loaded the app and filled it out really easy. My question is when you go to the tab "trips" it only lists airports and airlines. Where do you find the ports?

They did not offer the BOGO or any discounts for restaurants on our March cruise on Allure.

You could get cans for your 3 diamond vouchers though. I have a friend who does not drink alcohol so she would get a couple of cans of coke with her 3 diamond drinks to take with her to lunch and dinner.

Going on Allure next week and have a couple of questions. Even though I am a diamond member I have not had the premium drink pkg and was wondering if you can get cans of diet coke or only the drink cup. Also does anyone know if they still have a discount for the first night of pay restaurants?

This happens often. You should re-check your fare from time to time (at least twice a month) to catch any sales. Plus, whenever you see a promotion by HAL (like Anniversary Sale or Explore4, etc) be certain to check out the fares for your cruise.

 

Do this even if you are past final payment, as often HAL will give you something (OBC, free upgrade, etc) if your fare has dropped from what you paid. Of course before final payment they will automatically match it.

 

Just be sure to account for all the "perks" associated with your fare (old and new) as you might be better off paying a higher fare and getting perks such as a free beverage package, free hotel service charge, on board credits, etc.

 

You work is not done once you book!! Many people save alot of money on their cruises this way.

I do check my prices for all the cruises I have reserved on all the lines often, at least once a week but since I had gotten such a good price on this one to begin with I didn't think I had a chance of it going down so it was a pleasant surprise.

I'm also traveling in November - I'll have to check the prices. What dates are you traveling?

Got a flyer in the mail yesterday and decided to check on my November cruise. You guessed it the price was lower and since I didn't pay the final payment I called HAL and they reduced my fare. I am travelling single so I pay 200% but even with that I am paying under $600 including taxesfor a week with an inside guarantee room. On top of that I have OBC for stock etc and my airfare went down $40. This is my lucky day!

My friend had to go to the naughty room to get their luggage not because they had liquor in it but because he had wrenches in it for his electric wheelchair. His wife went down to get the suit case but the would not give them back until he came down to prove he was in the electric chair. He got them back so they are not only looking for booze.

We always try and get one of those rooms. We have had it on the Royal and the Regal and have it again on the regal again in January. The ony time I dont have it is when they offer me a really great deal on a balcony

Only drinking age guests have to be on the beverage package. You'll be fine.
