  1. At least I'm not the only one!

All night last night and all this morning nothing worked for either my iPad or iPhone. Geez.

It's hard enough having cabin fever, snow everywhere and you haven't been able to just sit in a park for months just to hang out.

I find being here on CC and discussing/reading about cruising helps my winter depression (weird, right?).

    Whew!!

Not weird at all. I'm in Jersey and have a cruise booked on the breakaway in March. I have snow everywhere as well and I spend my days and nights here on the board reading about everyone laying in the sun, in the pools, and on the beach. I pretend it's me and I'm sipping a nice cool summertime drink. It's what gets me through!

OH, AND HERE COMES MORE SNOW AS WE SPEAK

  2. Woo Hoo Congratulations! Enjoy it!

I have been debating on doing the same thing. I'm in a Haven Aft. I love the large balcony and the view and less wind but I'm really wanting a spa pass and I'm thinking if I upgrade to the S5 I will be closer to everything that I will want to do for the week. The Haven area and the Spa. Really not sure what to do. Although all the walking back & forth maybe good for all the food and drinks I will be trying. :D

  3. This I would book. I believe it shows up on your booking 45 days prior to your cruise.

Even if you do not get the Dinner/Cirque, you can still go just to the show without the dinner. Have you read the reviews for the food for this? Not very good. Not trying to burst your bubble....just suggesting you see the show for free and have dinner elsewhere. Just a thought. :)

I didn't know that you could see it for free. I would do that but this is the fiorst of heard of being able to see it for free.

  4. Someone here on Cruise Critic gave me the best piece of advice last year, when we went on the Breakaway...

Do NOT make reservations. Why? Because you are going to read the dallies....see something that you and your family REALLY wants to do....but you can't, because you have reservations.

We NEVER once, had a problem getting a table for the six of us nightly. There were soooo many time slots open and tables available for every single restaurant.

    HAVE A GREAT TIME.......

Thanks. I'm not really interested in booking restaurants so much as I really want to book the cirque thing. I would be so disappointed if I don't get to see this. Do you think here will be a problem getting in to this show. I'm in a Haven suite so I hope they will be able to get us in.

  5. 55 days for suites and you must call in.

This is the first I'm seeing that you must call in. Is that correct? today is my 55 day mark and i was coming on here to ask why my choices weren't showing. I guess you may be on to something

I would rather see it all in front of me before I call. Do they send you something so you can kind of plan around things you may want to do?

  6. I was just wandering around on the United Kingdom NCL website and look what I found as far as description of the room that I am in...

So now I wonder, what does convertible king size bed mean? If it means it can be split, than maybe he has told me the correct information. Or maybe he thought he was giving me the correct information because maybe he is seeing the same thing? Hmmmm:cool:
  7. When I booked my cruise I received a $150. OBC and when I log into NCL I can see the $150.00 credit. Today I called because there was a price drop after final payment and I was lucky enough to get another $75.00 credit. I don't see that credit anywhere when I log on. Should that credit be in the same place as the #150.00 OBC? My "wonderful" PCC said that it won't show on the site but he said it is there. Not totally believing him these days so I sent him an email thanking him for getting me the $75.00 credit and responded saying "you are very welcome" So at least I have it in writing.

Is it true that it wouldn't show on my account online?

  8. I have a question... I just noticed a price drop of $150. per person for my cabin on my sailing. Its after final payment.

Do I chance calling my "wonderful" PCC since at least he may want to try to get me something being we have a relationship already. I know they don't have to give me anything but... Or do I call and speak to someone else?

Also, he doesn't come in until 11:00 and there's only 2 cabins left in my category. So I would be taking a chance that they'll be gone by the time he comes in.

Well, nobody answered my question so I went ahead and gave him a call. He said there is nothing he can do for me until closer to my sailing. I sail March 30th. There are only 2 Aft Havens left and I told him that he needs to try real hard to get me OBC and give me a call back. He said he will try.

If he calls back and doesn't have some positive news, anything $5.00 OBC, I will than make my decision to call a supervisor. I know I'm not entitled to anything since it is after final payment. So please don't jump all over me about that. But I do feel I should receive something.....

WOW guess who just called..... $75.00 OBC. See he's not so bad after all.

  9. I have a question... I just noticed a price drop of $150. per person for my cabin on my sailing. Its after final payment.

  10. I'm in the area of the Meadowlands (home of the New JERSEY Super Bowl) and I got a price of $75.00 for a car service. Not sure we you are located but hope that gives you an idea.

FYI- you can pretty much go on any car service site and plug in your info and it will give you a quote. Sometime right away and sometimes they will email you the quote.

  11. I didn't call and talk to a supervisor. I don't feel the need to get him in trouble (I guess I'm still wanting to believe he just didn't know. I hope he isn't being that used car salesman) but I was more just ranting to get it off my chest. I don't have to deal with him for this cruise any longer as I can now contact the concierge. When & if I cruise with NCL in the future, I will request a new PCC. But not sure that I will believe anything that one tells me anyway. I should stick with booking online and coming here with all my questions. Its the only time I feel comfortable with the answer. I also don't see the point in complaining to a supervisor because its not something they can fix. Like I said before, they can't split the bed and no matter how much I complain, I still can't buy the UBP.

  12. You got yourself a slick-talking, used-car salesman for a PCC. Will say whatever it takes to make the sale. Lots of people in the world just like him. I rarely believe anything an NCL rep tells me and always get the promises in writing.

Thats the thing. I have all the promises in writing but were will that get me? I still won't be able to purchase the UDP and my king size bed won't be split. I will still be on that ship and in that room. But I am disappointed. What can I do? nothing. He just gave me false info on everything. He even told me that all the aft balconies are the same size on the breakaway and I TOLD HIM THAT THEY AREN'T.
