  1. We were in a "cove" balcony on deck 3, which we liked. However I can tell you that on your deck, the laundry is across from 7347, so luckily you won't be near enough it to hear the noise, but close enough to use it.

Could you talk a bit about cove balconies? I think that they sound wonderful! Do they have as much space as regular balconies?

  2. 3 of us are planning to book our first balcony cabin on Navigator of the Seas for a Mediterranean cruise for next May. The selections of cabins we have been given for a D1 class are 2 beds with a pull out couch. Does anyone know if the couch is comfortable? Also, does anyone have any input in cabin 1674?

We often have an adult daughter with us. She sleeps on the pull out couch. She says it's ok. She liked the rollaway bed better. I think that anything on board is better than staying home!

  3. Disadvantage: If it's anything like the ones that we had on the Ecstasy you will bump your head on the framework everytime that you try to sit up in bed. We tried to sit up to read but it didn't work well. Ours was in a newly constructed balcony room so there wasn't room for a chair.

  4. Serene,

I will soon make reservations on the Magic from Galveston. Onboard I must use a power scooter, around the ship but not in the cabin. I much, much prefer balconies. I think that there are only 2 "modified" balconies on the ship. Would it be reasonable to reserve a cove balcony near the elevator to the guest services desk and leave the scooter with them at night? I am afraid that it won't go thru the cove door.

    Suggestions?

    Thank you, elizabeth

  5. Does anyone know if I would be able to get an electric mobility cart thru the door of a cove balcony cabin on the Magic/Dream? Or if not, what I could do with it. I use a cart around the ship, not for short distances or around the cabin. I am fascinated with cove cabins!

  6. Has anyone stayed in cabin 6275 & 6277 on the Conquest? I have these two rooms booked in May.

We were in 6363. It was above a band and was very noisy...you could hear every note and feel every beat on the floor. I don't know how far away you are. If you will close down the party every night you won't be bothered.

  7. Take pics (white background), print them as 2x2, fill out the form, send it with the old passports. You might be able to sneak it so they will be suprised when the passports come.

Or just tell them and make them promise to forget. I would rather know about a cruise so I can look forward to it.

  8. I am worried that there will be a noise issue from activity out and around the pool area. also, with Carnival, are the ship cabins the same on each class. Thanks for any advice

On the Conquest the balcony cabin on the 6th deck was exactly the same as the more expensive one on the Lido.

The 6th deck one, 6363, was directly over a band on the deck below. The floor vibrated and we could hear every note/syllable of the singer. They moved us. The insult was when one of Carnival's people said our problem was the fault of our travel agent.
