  1. Yay it's finally April..( altho not my favorite month..) I have lost 16#..mostly doing my treadmill..I am entering a couple of "fun" runs after the cruise in order to keep myself interested in exercising. these are Mud Runs ( obstacle course thru mud) the first is a 5K and the second is approx 10K. They are fairly relaxed events and yet you don't want to totally embarrass yourself..I'm also running these with my kids! my Wii Mii chastized me for my long absence ( I have been doing Wii Fit and Just Dance and Country Dance) Well everybody keep on workin it!

It is nice to know I'm not the only uncoordinated one trying to JUST DANCE! lol I am doing pretty well on my weight loss and checked in with my wii balance board which said I probably have trouble walking without tripping, but then also gave me an age of 48...ok not the greatest..but since I will be 54 in April I WILL TAKE THE 48! lol I am kinda stuck on the 136-137 poundage and would really like to get it fired up..on the other hand am already 5-6 pounds lighter than last cruise and am afraid to try on my shorts and swim suits! lol

  3. wow all this exercise paying off..tried on my cruise clothes and am going to have to take a few pieces to have altered. bought a size 8 pr of pants and am gonna have to take them in a bit...YAY and am still hoping to get a few more #s off in the next 73 days! Hang in there the payoff really is around the bend ( or treadmill)

  4. Hi all Sounds like everyone working on their fitness tracks! I have been trying to hit the treadmill and Wii Active and my Country Dance a lot this week, but am starting my work week again. hubby has been sick again and so I gained 2 of my #s back eating for him ( he pukes..I eat!!) not a good combo...seriously I overindulged with my superbowl snacks. I will work it off this week tho.

    to answer the Just Dance and Country Dance question: you follow the Mii dancer and can actually work up a sweat ( I am horrible with the dance steps and miss a lot of the foot moves but make up for it by keeping up with the arms) lol I wish they would have a step tutorial but they dont you just have to muddle through til it comes or just keep moving. I like the Country Dance ( my kinda music) but have enjoyed the Just dance also. Keep it up Girls!

  5. I tried out my Country Dance ( which is just like the Just Dance only using country songs) and worked up a good sweat. It is a fun change to break up the monotony of a workout. Im down 13 # now with 9 to go . am also using Myfitpal.com to hold myself accountable for food and exercise...it is kind of a cyber journal! Go WII everyone!! lol

  6. got to get back on track ( or treadmill and Wii) just back from a weekend run to Las Vegas and have been afraid to step on scale. Schedule hectic with taking Dad to MD appts and throw in a couple of 12 hour noc shifts to boot. back to it tonight..just got my new Just Dance and Country Dance for the Wiii and want to try them out. the Zumba had my 2 left feet in a tangle!

  7. Ok everyone!! Holidays are over and its time to get crackin! I just ordered Just Dance and Country Dance for the Wii in hopes that I can figure out my left foot from my right in the next 13 weeks or so. I only gain 2 of my # back during the holidays but need to get back on the treadmill and the wii! Still looking to lose another 10# as I am currently at that awkward "between sizes" stage...YUK

    Sounds like everyone is doing awesome. I am down to 140.6 using my Marticas Walk the Fat Off ( on the treadmill and abbrev M***..but had to clarify the initials first) LOL and also the Wii Fit Active..I love the boxing and the volleyball and tennis kick my butt! I'm hoping to finish my "exercise room" next month after the Christmas holiday madness is over , so that I can get my Wii out of the front room and it won't be in front of the woodstove ( altho does provide a decent sweat!!!)

  9. Hi All I've been too embarassed to check in ( ok too lazy to exercise). Im back into the swing of things now I hope ..My goal is to lose 15 lbs before my next cruise. I would love to get down to 135#.. but would be happy with 140. My work schedule is still crazy and I never know if Im eating breakfast or dinner ? ( Nightshifter: 3 12 hour shifts a week).

     

    Checkard: I am so with your DH about the Zumba . I have 2 left feet and have a tough time with the "mirror" image thing..just wish she would turn around. I am still trying and hope to learn the steps someday.

     

    I still love my Wii Active and Wii Fit tho. the weight is very much NOT right on the balance board so I finally broke down and bought a good scale( accurate with hospital one) I am also still working on the treadmill with the Marita's walking program. Good luck to all and just GIT ER DONE!!!

Well off and running ( on the treadmill) WOW I'm so proud..have managed 3 days in a row! lol & my Wii Mii remembers me too..altho she berated me for not "training" however I have done my Wii active quite a bit since then. I never seem to get to the "challenges" as the big challenge is just finding time to exercise while I am on my work week. you would think I get enough exercise running the stairs and running around er but apparently it doesn't counteract the rice crispy treats or chocolate patients and other RNs provide us with ( we call this lunch many nights) LOL so I'm nibbling my "rabbit" food again .

    I've so have got to get back into the exercise groove again! I am back to 155# and would love to get back to 140 and even better 130-135#. I am going to get back on the Wii and also the treadmill walking regimen! Here's to the oldy sweatin to the tunes!!! LOL

  12. Well the countdown is really headed in the right direction now!! Still not @ my 2nd goal weight of 140 ( at 143) but 4-5 days of exercise everyday will help! then NOLA here I come..I'm hoping to keep busy enough to counteract the "soul" food, creole food, cajun food and of course then a week of "CRUISE" food!!! Yay. tonight is my last work night before we leave so even a busy night is a good one. LOL

  13. Wow my treadmill workout is really getting intense 60-70 minutes and adding some jogging with it..makes me sweat!! LOL I sure wish I had a "normal" schedule where I could get some rythmn to a workout tho..3 12's a week @ night keeps me in a state of zombi-like existence most of the time. Then add DH sick for a week + and that increases the fatigue factor about 50%. Oh well vacation is almost in sight! and I still have 5-7 # to go!

  14. back to work.. treadmill workout is getting longer and harder..and Wii Active is still working. now My DD just bought a new spin bike so will have to go try it out and see if I want to add one of those to my home gym! I am down to within 5.2# of my second goal..Yay team! Everyone keep up the good work!

  15. doing good with the treadmill this week..spent the weekend in a motel visiting the kids and actually did my treadmill routine one night and swam the next so at least got some excersize to counter act the pizza and birthday cake !!

  16. back on the tread tonoc..actually got in a full workout. No dared call me!!! LOL it feels so good to get the exercise routine going and I've started to get a little cranky if I miss. Luckily, having to go away for the weekend the Hampton Inn has a nice little gym and swim pool/hot tub area. Still one more night of work tho! IS IT MARCH YET?

  17. back to work tonight and hopefully will be able to get on the treadmill sometime..will see if ER calms down. had my neck acupuntured today so feeling good tonight. Keep it up all.

    MOMcat - I have the Jillian 2010 also but started doing the Wii Active first and am plenty sore with it! So Jillian would prob kill me. Also have the Zumba workout but my 2 left feet have decided I actually need to take a live-in-person class to learn the steps first. Good luck everyone..I'm hovering @ 8# left still so need to step up the pace.

Last week was a washout for me and exercise..neck giving me fits and work was too busy for even a 30 minute run to the gym. but got back on the horse yesterday with both my Wii fit and my treadmill workout...still looking to lose that 10#. Gosh the first 10 seemed so easy to lose... oh well keeping at it...7 weeks left!

DH got Jeopary for Wii so wants to play that instead of letting me use the Wii Fit made a deal that I will play only after a short 30min workout ( he says I always say I'm only going to do 30 minutes and end up with 40-60..LOL but it's fun!!!!) 9#'s to go and 60 days to do it. ( hitting the Mardi Gras scene for a couple of days prior to sailaway) How fun is that going to be...looking forward to it as it is 19 degrees and falling here in Oregon tonoc.

  20. Ok everyone..BACK ON THE TREADMILL AND DUST OFF THE WII..Christmas break is over!!! I didn't do to badly over the week..only about a # of losing ground and only missed 3 workouts..Now to really hit it hard! March: here we come!

  21. Wow this is a hard week to fit exercise into..but am trying. the treadmill in relatively easy to access and yet there is it in another room! LOL but have made a deal with myself ..no walkie..no goodie!!! Good luck to all in this season of multiple tasks and mega treats!

  22. I have played "slacker" this week getting ready for Christmas, but am headed to the treadmill ( and maybe the Wii after) It is very hard to diet during the Holidays but so far haven't strayed to far. Just have to keep trying on the party dress I want to wear for motivation!

  23. Well I'm finally convinced that I've actually lost my first 10# ( I have kept it off for about a week now) and am starting on my next 10. This is the tough one. I'm still walking and doing Wii active when at home and trying to find a 30 minute window to walk @walk ( when and if I get a lunch break) I am a little frustrated with the Zumba for Wii..I do pretty good with the slow steps keeping up with the instructor but then she takes it "up temp" and sticks another little quick step in that I can't follow..maybe I show start with a different program? Any Dancing with 2 Left Feet DVDs out there?

  24. doing great on my walking routine...just tried my Zumba for Wii today..I really need Zumba for the handicapped because I am so uncoordinated! but will keep trying. there are some folks at work that are taking an actual Zumba class and maybe they can teach me some of the basic steps ( at my speed)!!!

  25. Happy Thanksgiving to all. I just finished doing a 5K on my treadmill ( 1 degree outside) 63.44 min and burned 425 cal. DH is ill and I'm dieting of course so won't sabotage myself with a big dinner. ready for a day of football and crocheting now ( after I fill the wood ring , start the laundry and finish my ironing. ( gotta go back to work tomorrow)
