You are correct, Miracle has stabilization problems along with other mechanical and refurbishing needs . We sailed to and back from Hawaii in Feb. and Mar.this year. In 2018 the Miracle went dead in the water for about an hour off the west coast on our way back from Alaska. The complete round trip was the roughest I have experienced in 18 years of cruising ( have had periods of rough seas in the Caribbean).

Never took a Christmas cruise during our 18 years of cruising until this past December. Did a B2B, 12/12--12/26. Was very disappointed with the activities, especially on the 12/26 leg. Was so hyped leading up to the cruise. Overall the cruise was just what we wanted, beach and pool days for two weeks.

Have never been to La Romana. Enjoy the pool at Amber Cove, makes for a relaxing day in the sun.

There's not much to choose from. Iced tea, and the diet sodas are all I can think of. I drink iced tea most of the time. I like to have a nice piece of diet cake or cookies with a cup of speciality coffee but diet cakes/ cookies are hard to find.
