Haha, true, but bathing suits are small. You can get a lot of them into a carry-on. 🙂 It's the extra shoes and multiple jackets, sweaters and  jeans that will kill you.

Just a little tip.  For small things like bathing suits,  socks, undies, etc... roll up items, put in ziploc bag and put in shoes. Even some toiletries will work for this.

  2. Correct. $3 entrance fee. If you want a lounger and umbrella, you have to purchase $10 of food or drink and you get to use them for free.

  3. Yes, you can just stay in port.  There are tons of shops, bars...etc.   Why not jump in a taxi (very quick and cheap) and go to Paradise Beach?  Tons of fun!!!

    You misunderstand my post, NBT.

    Not disagreeing about the custom,.

But when cruising came to the great unwashed masses (like JB :classic_wink:), on P&O it was embarrassing how many empty seats there were in the MDR on the last night - the night you traditionally handed over envelopes to the waiters - when tightwad passengers decided to dine in the buffet. :classic_rolleyes::classic_angry:

I made this statement  sometime last year. ...I was BASHED on RCCL threads, with everyone telling me that it did not happen.  Well, I remember distinctly on my first RC  Explorer cruise asking our waiter where everyone was.  The dining room was EMPTY.

  5. I recently inherited a painting by a well known artist.  Spent a lot of time doing research on it.  Via websites, I contacted many art dealers in NYC..and EVERY ONE of the websites stated  "We do not appraise Park West paintings and have no interest in purchasing them"     Just saying.

  6. You don't state the ages in your family...but we just returned from the Grandeur and had an amazing time (out of Baltimore).  The only negative I will say about it, is it is an older group of people.  I do not recommend it for children, as there is a very limited amount of things for them to do.   You also have Carnival's Pride out of Baltimore.  Much better atmosphere for children.
