Are filet and lamb chops still on CK menus every night? Are there still two CK menus for the entire cruise?
NO. CK has a daily rotating menu and some nights are great and some not so much (some nights the menu in the MDR is vastly superior).

Anyone on this sailing using WOW bands?
Does the WOW band work as a 100% replacement for the Sea Pass card?
Can we use it to get on and off the boat or do we still need our Sea Pass card?
DW was using hers for a couple of days. Clashes with her jewelry. Works fine on board.
NO you can't use them to get on or off the ship.

We have a lot of "new guests" on board making the crossing to America. A flock of birds took up residency in Central Park.

For your first time in Nassau and since you are nervous about safely issues the ship's tour is a GREAT suggestion. :)
I have to say that I've been to Nassau way too many times and have never ever felt even the slightest bit uncomfortable. I can't say that about other places. Go, enjoy, don't worry. I'm more uncomfortable in Barcelona way more than in Nassau and I love Barcelona.

We love Hotel Continental Barcelona. Great location. Free food and wine and beer.
You forgot to. Mention great company

I agree. So what did you do, CptSticky, to make it come out like this?
Took pic inside CC Forums app using iPhone 5s. No muss, no fuss

Hospitals, who have lawyers that keep them VERY concerned about minimizing liability for hospital-caused problems, have switched from soap-and-water washing to hand sanitizer use for their personnel. And "evidence-based medicine" has been the rule for at least 3 decades that I know of. (I passed boards as an RN in 1986.) So either there is evidence that the hand sanitizers do as good or a better job of preventing person-to-person germ transmission, or they are ignoring their lawyers and court case precedents.
I believe in hand washing, but that isn't always feasible. I have a hand sanitizer in my purse and will be taking it on our cruise. YMMV.
There is no question that it works on bacteria (big problems in hospitals) and several viruses. Unfortunately, it is ineffective against Noro :-(

Sure, I agree.
But that's not what was asked.
It gets old that we divert into a "leave your tips in"- especially considering that the original question was to INCREASE the tips, and how to deal with it.
Well then to return to the topic: in the past (can't say that they still do this) I have gone to the front desk (Royal ships) and filled out a form that added an extra tip to a certain employee and it was taken from my unused OBC (yes, the non-refundable OBC given by Royal). I then told said employee so that they would know and be sure that they got it. Said employee later told me on the next cruise that he ended up having to ask for it but did end up getting it.

Why are there so many comments about removing gratuities????
The OP asked about how to give EXTRA gratuities, leaving the original in place.
Because there is a large group of people out there who want to be told it's OK to remove gratuities if they intend to tip someone something.
Deep down inside, they don't want to feel cheap.

Worried about Nassau, no. Board with Nassau, absolutely. Best advice, take a local tour.

The alcohol wipe at the entrance to the buffet is actually great for colds and flu. Unfortunately due to the physical make up of that particular virus it does nothing for Noro except maybe make you feel better.

I didn't receive any WOW cards on my last cruise in August. Perhaps if I had asked guest services or the loyalty ambassador I could have gotten one.
We ask at check in three weeks ago and we're told no.

One advantage to such a short cruise is that the 2 bottles of wine that you are allowed to carry on should last longer.

Thank you everyone.
The cruise ship we are thinking of switching to does cost more. It's actually $1,000 more for 2 us.
I'll try and see what the outcome is.
Thank you.
Danny
We have only done it once and that was many years ago. We also had a good excuse and not just we changed our minds and yes it was about $1k more. They allowed it.

On the Allure President's cruise last month on Allure they had about 2000 D & D+ members and they also utilized the same areas in Entertainment place. The one bar area was a bit crowded at 5 pm but we usually arrived shortly after 6 pm and never had a problem finding a space in Blaze which will be the Diamond Club on Harmony
If I'm not mistaken, on that cruise they opened up the coupons to 6 per night. Our letter stated that they were going to stick to 3. So it may not work the same. Just saying.

Boy is entertainment place gonna be a zoo at diamond hours. When we were on a libert TA a couple years ago they only allowed D+ in the d lounge and spillover bar at night and relegated us diamonds to the pharrows lounge or whatever they call it. It was frustrating since we had the drink package and couldn't enjoy the bar in the Viking lounge in the evening. I would think with 2300 diamond and above they might clear out some areas for D+ on this one if D is the dominant majority of the D and above crowd. Also, with 180 pinnacles the suite lounge is gonna get slammed. I'm thinking my sky class status isn't gonna be worth much on this trip. Lol. Either way I'm gonna have fun however.
Our Pinnacle copy of the same letter didn't exactly invite us to the SL. So you might not be as slammed as you think.

As you can see our soap doesn't fall through. However, the DW's razor did and yes the shower was large enough to pick it up without opening the door like on other ships.
Ladies will be glad to notice a small bottom rail which is handy for shaving their legs.
One missing item, no retractable clothes line.
