Do you have someone to watch the kids the first night? I assume the 16 year old is good to go, but as you may know the camps aren't open the first night. So the steakhouse could be an issue. Just an FYI.

 

We book the Italian place the first night as the kids (ours are younger) enjoy the place and food.

 

We pick the steakhouse another night when we know the kids will be watched.

 

Thank you for this information!!! I was not aware that they would not be open the first night. This will be our second cruise with the kiddos. The first cruise we went with the whole family (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents), so we ate in the MDR each night of the cruise. I will try the Italian Restaurant for the first night, as that was a restaurant we wanted to do with them sometime on the cruise anyway, and find another night for the Steakhouse.

Good morning!!

My family will be sailing out in July on the Magic doing the Eastern itinerary. This will be our first cruise on the Magic and our first cruise out of Port Canaveral. My DH and I will be celebrating our 1st anniversary. We are thinking of doing the Steakhouse the first night and trying to figure out a good day to do the Italian restaurant for dinner. We have our 3 children going with us (DD 16, DS 13, DS 11) and will be joining the youth camps. If anyone has or can get a copy of the funtimes, youth camp itinerary, and the daily restaurant menus that would be awesome!!!! I can provide my email address if this would make it easier.

What time did they start boarding for priority and FTTF?

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Magic. I am curious as to how boarding is done in Port Canaveral. We will be sailing the Magic July 23, 2016 and doing the same itinerary as the 7 day cruise leaving out tomorrow. Would love information on the ports as well as any other information you are willing to share about the ship and activities. Enjoy your Sea day and the second leg of your vacation :D:D

I am curious about this as well. We were emailed regarding picking a staggered check in time, but we have FTTF. So would we just go early with FTTF or go by the staggered time they gave us?

Valor was our first cruise we took for my birthday, which is April 29th!!! Love the ship!!! We always get a balcony on deck 10 as well. Congrats on the upsell!!! Have fun on your cruise and happy birthday to your wife!!! We are waiting to do the double digit dance for our July cruise next Friday :D

I have been anxiously waiting for someone to post a review after dry dock. Our family will be sailing in 131 days!!! We have been on several cruises with Carnival but this will be the first for Magic. Can't wait to hear more!!!!:D

Anyone know if they do this on the Breeze?

We were on the Breeze December 2014 and they had it then. My kids and nieces/nephews all loved it. Their ages at that time were between 4-13. Us adults enjoyed the party as well. We danced with the kids, met the staff, really nice atmosphere for the kiddos.

If you go to your booking and click on the "guests" tab in blue. Under the guests name if you will click on the modify button the choice is there to add it.

My DH and our 3 children will be in Orlando celebrating our 1 year anniversary onboard the Carnival Magic. We will be arriving to MCO 7/22/16 and our cruise leaves 7/23/16. Does anyone have any suggestions on transportation to get us from our hotel to the Port of Canaveral, Port of Canaveral to Disney, and from Disney back to MCO? Any help is greatly appreciated. I have been looking for two weeks now and am at a dead end here

Hello all!!!!

My lovely family of 5 recently booked the Carnival Magic leaving Port Canaveral (Orlando) July 23, 2016. We picked this cruise because it is close to the end of summer for our kids, we LOVE Grand Turk, and we have never been to any of the other 3 islands on the itinerary. Found out 2 days ago that the Magic will be going to dry dock and getting some 2.0 upgrades.

I came to CC to find information on the other ports of call and stumbled across this post. I had no idea that Amber Cove is a new port!!!! I am really excited to see the reviews and pics of this port, especially having never cruised to DR before.

Believe me, I check many, many times a day!! I have it minimized on my computer at work [emoji16]

That's how we were able to get ours. It was saying sold out for weeks and one afternoon I refreshed the page and they had 2 left (it was just sold out that morning). I hurried and bought both for our cabin and my brother's cabin. You really have to stalk the FTTF if you want it :p
