Just out of curiosity, did they get dates for the Mariner and Independence Ships?

So what are the chances of me cruising on Symphony August 14th?
I know! Our Allure is sailing Aug 15. Cutting it close. 😕

I guess we will find out how quick Freedom OTS gets permission to sail after their test cruise scheduled for later in June.
I wonder why the next 2 test cruises are approved so far out and not sometime in July?
Yeah I was wondering that also. They are 7-8 weeks out.

I just noticed the July cruises for Allure are off the site. August 1st and beyond are still there.

Me too! Fingers crossed!! Already had two NCL cruises canceled, which is why I came over to this side!
I would love to know how quickly they can resume after the test cruises.

Watching Allure livestream on you tube pulling into Miami Port.. Ugh! I want to go cruising so bad!

On a positive note. Allure is heading back to Miami again. It has been there a few times in the past couple of weeks. I hope it’s for vaccines but who knows?🤷🏼♀️

I honestly think that the one thing that is going to prevent them is the lack of employees. I mean it’s everywhere. That’s where the biggest issue would be in getting all the ships to sail. After a few weeks/months it won’t be the CDC preventing them to sail, it’s going to be getting the ships with enough crew.

We are on that sailing also, but I think it’s doubtful it will sail. Running out of time unless it gets test cruise approval quickly.

We want to go to Disney as our Plan B if it doesn’t sail but with Disney you have to reserve certain days to visit the park. It’s so frustrating.

I’m wondering also. I haven’t heard a peep about Allure. Our cruise is Aug 15 but we want to make alternate plans also. It’s so frustrating. If I had an early July cruise I would be pulling my hair out.

It is/was a Cruise With Confidence option where upon your cruise is cancelled by Royal, you could move your booking to a similar itinerary the following year +-2 weeks. Even if the future cruise is at a higher price, the price you paid is locked in minus port fees and taxes. That's a broad explanation. Others can fill in the gaps or correct my errors.
Ok so this is my question. We have a cruise on Allure for mid August. So I’d it gets cancelled and rumor has it that Odyssey is sailing in August from FL, can we switch” our cruise? I know it will be more but I was curious.

Lift and Shift.
And lift and shift means???

Ok I am dumb. What is L&S mean?

Well, all I know is RC has been very quiet on all their social media including Twitter for the past few days. So I am thinking real soon there will be an announcement.
-
I booked my Aug 15 Allure in April also But I did truly believe it would restart over the summer until all this happened with the gov and the cdc. Now I am not so sure. Just waiting to see when I can book my plan b.

That is because you do not work for RCCL and know nothing about what they have or not have to do, it's all speculation and not very accurate. I also know nothing so don't get panties in a wad. I am heartily tired of people pretending they know more than anyone else when they don't. I figure I will listen to the company itself. ONLY.
That would be wonder if RC actually communicated with their customers. I mean they do have thousands of our dollars tied up.
-
So I follow RC on Twitter and they get multiple questions about sailing over the summer. I have noticed their subtle change of wording on responses. They used to say “we plan to resume operations starting July 1st” on all their reply’s. Now it “our hope is to resume sailings in July”. Maybe I am reading into this too much. But I think they obviously know what’s going to happen.

Under the CWC, just cancel and switch to a ship in NJ now.............no charge to switch ships/ports.
Trust me I have though about it but it’s almost double what we are paying now for Allure out of PC.

I thought for sure we would hear something today. 😕

Haha! I am booked on Allure for Aug 15. I am from PA and we too have sailed from Bayonne a number of times. I only booked my cruise 2 months ago thinking I had a better shot of sailing out of FL. Silly me. We are driving too and we do have a plan B also.
Cruising with older Teens 18-20

So we are praying out Allure goes as planned on Aug 15, however my daughter is now 19 and I am worried she will be bored as she has obviously aged out of the teen programs and too young for the 21 and over crowd. Do they have programs/activities for these age groups on the cruises?
