  1. I honestly think that the one thing that is going to prevent them is the lack of employees. I mean it’s everywhere. That’s where the biggest issue would be in getting all the ships to sail. After a few weeks/months it won’t be the CDC preventing them to sail, it’s going to be getting the ships with enough crew.

It is/was a Cruise With Confidence option where upon your cruise is cancelled by Royal, you could move your booking to a similar itinerary the following year +-2 weeks.  Even if the future cruise is at a higher price, the price you paid is locked in minus port fees and taxes.  That's a broad explanation.  Others can fill in the gaps or correct my errors.

Ok so this is my question. We have a cruise on Allure for mid August. So I’d it gets cancelled and rumor has it that Odyssey is sailing in August from FL, can we switch” our cruise? I know it will be more but I was curious.

That is because you do not work for RCCL and know nothing about what they have or not have to do, it's all speculation and not very accurate.  I also know nothing so don't get panties in a wad.  I am heartily tired of people pretending they know more than anyone else when they don't.  I figure I will listen to the company itself.  ONLY.

That would be wonder if RC actually communicated with their customers. I mean they do have thousands of our dollars tied up.

  4. So I follow RC on Twitter and they get multiple questions about sailing over the summer. I have noticed their subtle change of wording on responses. They used to say “we plan to resume operations starting July 1st” on all their reply’s. Now it “our hope is to resume sailings in July”. Maybe I am reading into this too much. But I think they obviously know what’s going to happen.

  5. Haha! I am booked on Allure for Aug 15.  I am from PA and we too have sailed from Bayonne a number of times. I only booked my cruise 2 months ago thinking I had a better shot of sailing out of FL. Silly me. We are driving too and we do have a plan B also.
