Love this itinerary! I think you will be more than happy with it. As far as ships/cruise lines go-on this type of itinerary, you are busy and the actual ship experience does not mean as much. I think you did the right thing to go ahead and book. You can always change your mind. If NCL is more reasonably priced since you will have a busy itinerary, go with it. Great itinerary!

I would love to make a request. Who do you send it to?

I did check it and wondered since it did look more like a waterpark. I guess I was hoping someone had been there and also hoping the park was more informative than waterpark.

has anyone been able to get Placlovid or any other treatment prescribed by their doctors in case they get sick. I read that the cruise ships don't have it and worried about getting kicked off in the Caribbean and islands don't have it either.
Has anyone tried having an air purifier in your room?
Any experiences here would be appreciated. Seriously considering losing $1500 just not to go now or 14 day cruise. Seems too risky.
I don't believe any of the ships are kicking you off right now. You need to quarantine in your room and that is pretty much it.

Has anyone visited the turtle centre? Curious if you found it worth while?

Thank you for this insightful review. Looking forward to our cruise in January!

Are there separate parking garages for Royal Caribbean and Norwegian? We are taking a week on each.

Thank you so much!

Sailing a week on the Wonder and then a week on Prima back to back. On turn around day, we will leave the Wonder and get on Prima. We are driving to the port so curious. Can I assume we will need to park in a different area after our week on RCCL and moving to NCL? Have not yet sailed out of Port Canaveral with NCL so not familiar with their parking. Anyone have experience?

You are entirely clear. Check-in does not open until 21 days before embarkation, at 12:01 AM EST. Technically speaking, if you are on the west coast, you could start checking in at 9:01PM on the 22nd day. They also shut check-in down three days before embark. I assume you would then have to check-in at the pier, but really have no idea..
Thanks so much for answering my question. Guess I will have to wait then. I know on the RCL and Celebrity apps you can just snap your picture. Sounds like that is available on NCL app as well.

Thanks for sharing. As I have posted elsewhere, my wife & I recently experienced (and continue to experience) COVID isolation… on the Summit. A few comments along with yours:
The Summit also has a COVID Concierge… and she has been excellent at keeping us informed, answering questions, helping with our requests, etc. We are in a suite, and that staff (butler, Retreat manager, Retreat concierge, etc) have enhanced the experience even more.
We are on a B2B. We tested positive during the first sailing, and since our (minimal) isolation period would continue into the second sailing (both sailings are 12 nights), we had the option of disembarking after the first sailing (with full refund for the second cruise) or continuing on the B2B to complete our isolation. The one “catch” was due to the second sailing’s stop in Bermuda, they had to get the Bermuda authorities ok… which they did.
We have continued on the B2B. My wife tested negative on her Day 5 (first day to be tested) and was able to get off in Bermuda. I tested positive on my Day 5 and Day 6 (today). The protocol says that the daily testing will continue until I get a negative test OR I reach Day 10 (at which point the isolation automatically ends).
So far, Celebrity Summit has been excellent with their care, and I’m looking forward to a significant refund for the days in isolation. (I’ve asked the COVID Concierge for details on how that is calculated… particularly given the B2B overlap… and she is checking with the head office.)
We were on this cruise and thankfully did not get it. Although we had it last January. Anyhow, I had wondered if many on our cruise did get covid since it was a longer cruise and that tends to bring about more cases it seems. However, I did not hear of any cases or see anything that would indicate so. I suspect there were, but hadn't heard of any. Hopefully you are feeling better and enjoy this second leg of your trip!

Just to be clear, is one not able to check in until 21 days prior to the cruise? Been awhile since we cruised with NCL. On RCCL and Celebrity, one can check in and get that all completed a couple of months before cruising.

I have been confused about this as well. It mentions a reservation but when I called they said it is not necessary. That if the parking garage is full there is an open lot they direct you to. Hopefully someone who has recently parked there can clarify. Thanks!

Gosh Jim, I am really going to miss checking in with you daily. You have given me many an idea for our October sailing on the Summit as well as our Iceland/Greenland cruise next year. LOVE the pics and all the information you have given us. Safe travels!

I agree with the post that states that Quebec City is the perfect cruise port. Very walkable, interesting, and immensely beautiful city!

For cruise/water arrival you must submit the form/ArriveCan app max 72h before sailing AND you can register your first port if call from day 1-30.
When you choose Boat/Marine arrival you have the arrival time 1-30days onwards.
So fill it out BEFORE you walk the gangway to your ship. Then you are all good to sail.
You will fill in your stateroom number. And answer some health questions. When everything is filled out, you will receive your barcode for arrival/sign of proof for arriveCan.
As for arrival on air, you only have 72h timeframe.
Thank you for your detailed response. This really helps to clarify things. It is our first time doing this, again thank you!

I found a link on Seabourn's site (by chance, I have not cruised with them) for using ArriveCAN for cruise ship pax. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks very complete, with pix. The link is here.
Thank you! This seems to explain how to set it up and use. I have bookmarked it.

So can you complete the ArriveCan earlier than 3 days arrival at first Canadian port? We board our cruise in NYC and will have 3 more stops in US ports so on day 4 of our cruise I think we hit our first Canadian port . I was under the impression I could not select an entry date in Arrivecan app until exactly 3 days before arrival. I have already created an account and it would not allow me to put any date after the 3 days displayed on the app. Appreciate any advice or feedback for those traveling with similar travel circumstances. Thanks in advance
Maybe we are on the same cruise. I am hoping for an email from Celebrity explaining this? Interesting that you could not put in anything beyond the three days. We arrive in Canada on the fourth day of our cruise.

yes you are correct the form must be filed before boarding the cruise, we do it on august 17 after we tested negative at the BSI bus terminal in Reykjavik, we put boarding port Reykjavik and boarding date and time august 19 at 11:30AM.Celebrity screwup because they don’t avise passengers about this requirement. How X will know/control that all passengers fill the form? X must ask for the QR code at boarding and denied the boarding to those passengers without it.
Hope there no be problems when we arrive to Canada.
OK, so not necessarily the three days before entering Canada, as you are not yet there and have been cruising for more than three days. So three days before boarding? We board in Boston, then sea day, then Portland, then Bar Harbor -and then Halifax on the fourth day. I'm hoping we will receive some email clarification soon, but have not as of yet.
-
For those of us not on a B2B-We are taking a cruise out of Boston that goes to Canada. Is it my understanding that we fill out the ArriveCAN before getting on the ship? I think? also that we have to test two days before the cruise and not three like some do. Just seeing if I am understanding all of this correctly.
