I am on the very last sailing of this itinerary, sailing on Saturday. Thanks for the review.
-
Does anyone have anything to add to this? Sounds pretty easy. lol

I am glad to hear this! Have reserved with them for the day I arrive in Copenhagen. I want to try and sneak some sightseeing in before embarking and don't want to worry about my luggage. I emailed them and they were prompt to reply. Looking forward to it.

Leaving in 10 days and enjoyed your review. Glad to hear that it was smooth sailing!

When it says "3 mixers"..... does that mean you get 3 cans of pop only? Do they refresh your mix or garnish? I wouldn't be planning on polishing off my bottle in one sitting. lol

I love white parties! Good to know.

If I buy the photopackage in advance can I just pick up photos all throughout the cruise or do I have to get all 10 at once at the end of the cruise? Is the deal offered at MY NCL offered on the ship? Buy a package and get one free?

Going in October so am still reading every post! Thanks for all the detail.

So am I understanding this......
I am sailing in October with my family. I have been chatting with girlfriends about planning a "Girls Cruise" on the Sky next year for an all-inclusive weekend. If I buy CruiseNext certificates while with my family, I can transfer them to the four cabins I will probably book with my girlfriends? If I think I will get four cabins, I should buy four certificates? Is that the best plan?
Then, if I think I will spend $100 in the casino, I can up that by using the credit? Just for slots... or are games included? Can I share my casino credit with my DH?
ETA: Just read in the Terms about CruiseNext Lite for sailings under 6 days. What's the deal with those? NCL website doesn't seem to say much.

Only one day in SPB for us. ....And it happens to be a Wednesday when several things are closed. Thanks for the tips though.
-
"Foreign Passengers" ha ha.... sounds kind of funny when you are talking about a ship in Europe that visits six countries.
-
That's awful. Prayers to the people in Irma's path.
-
Yes. We are planning to do Peterhof and the Hermitage. We could do the Faberge Museum in lieu of some of the closed sites.
Thoughts?

I love the Autobahn..... lol! Was going to rent a car, and drive into Berlin but didn't think that my Mother would be able to handle our drive into Berlin. Last summer I was in Germany and I was going 140 km in the middle lane. Apparently the buses do have a speed limit, hence the variety in driving times.

I am sailing on the NCL Getaway that arrives in St. Petersburg on a Wednesday. My understanding is that many attractions are closed that day. (Church on the Spilt Blood, St Isaac's Cathedral and Peter and Paul's fortress are closed on Wednesday) I am planning on doing a private excursion for my group. What do you recommend substituting? Has anyone else been there on a Wednesday?

Anyone know how NCL handled getting off the ship at St Petersburg for Haven guests with private tours??
My question as well. Kind of defeats the "first off" perk in Haven if they make you wait for passengers going on NCL tours.

I am going to have less than 6 hours as I fly in that morning and am trying to squeeze in some sights prior to boarding.
I found a link to a cool app that has a bunch of different walking tours of copenhagen. There is a free (lite) version of the app too. It is in the app store, but here are some descriptions.

Ugh. One of the reasons I was nervous about this itinerary was because of the ship and the weather. Didn't seem like the best ship for cool weather. I am sailing in October. Guess I will just have to prepare myself.
Do any of you remember seeing if the Viva Vino package was being offered? I did not get the UBP and the wine one seems rather expensive to me. Would prefer to just buy bottles. I am trying to decide if I should bring some on board and suck up the corkage fee.
-
I too am looking for an updated wine list. Sailing on the Getaway in October.

I did find one tour that includes a transfer to the cruise port. It's pretty pricey though. We are flying on AC 882 as well. Any chance you are going on the October 7th cruise.... we could share the tour.

Weird.
Here is a link to the screen caps from the upgrade email and website. Mine clearly state "Canadian Dollars" (I used to load images with dropbox, but cannot seem to get it working.)

I checked by pretending to upgrade. It is very definitely CANADIAN dollars.
-
All-Ready2Cruise, are you Canadian? My upgrade email says: (Note: Prices shown are in Canadian dollars.)
If they charge you USD after listing them in CAD, I think there would be a problem.

No one has mentioned Ocean Blue. Hmmmmm.......
thanksgiving cruise
in Norwegian Cruise Line

It is Canadian Thanksgiving next week on our Baltic cruise on the Getaway. I am bringing my own decorations just in case. I imagine it is hard to do holidays for every nationality. Still hope there is turkey on the menu!
