  1. So am I understanding this......

I am sailing in October with my family. I have been chatting with girlfriends about planning a "Girls Cruise" on the Sky next year for an all-inclusive weekend. If I buy CruiseNext certificates while with my family, I can transfer them to the four cabins I will probably book with my girlfriends? If I think I will get four cabins, I should buy four certificates? Is that the best plan?

Then, if I think I will spend $100 in the casino, I can up that by using the credit? Just for slots... or are games included? Can I share my casino credit with my DH?

ETA: Just read in the Terms about CruiseNext Lite for sailings under 6 days. What's the deal with those? NCL website doesn't seem to say much.

  2. I am sailing on the NCL Getaway that arrives in St. Petersburg on a Wednesday. My understanding is that many attractions are closed that day. (Church on the Spilt Blood, St Isaac's Cathedral and Peter and Paul's fortress are closed on Wednesday) I am planning on doing a private excursion for my group. What do you recommend substituting? Has anyone else been there on a Wednesday?

  3. Ugh. One of the reasons I was nervous about this itinerary was because of the ship and the weather. Didn't seem like the best ship for cool weather. I am sailing in October. Guess I will just have to prepare myself.

Do any of you remember seeing if the Viva Vino package was being offered? I did not get the UBP and the wine one seems rather expensive to me. Would prefer to just buy bottles. I am trying to decide if I should bring some on board and suck up the corkage fee.
