  1. Oh.... that's good! I was thinking of walking to Fort Zachary and hanging out at the Beach. That port location looks closer.
  2. That's what I was wondering too? Is it special?
  3. Oh no! Didn't think of the kids on the US Thanksgiving cruise. Ugh. I am going with a bunch of loud girlfriends so hopefully we won't notice the kids. lol Does anyone have any dailies for the 5 night Western Caribbean? Are there any party nights that I should know about?
  4. Just bumping this thread to see if anyone has any recent updates. From all this discussion, sounds like Fort Zachary sounds like a great spot to just chill and it's not too far from the dock. I am traveling with a bunch of girl friends and we really, really want to just sit and chill on a beach. I get that it's not the Ritz, but it still sounds better than November in Canada.

  6. I am not sure about car services but Uber and Taxi both go to Toronto Pearson. The UP Train (Union-Pearson) is also a nice option. It takes about 30 minutes but you have no traffic. If you are not from the area, you might not expect Toronto traffic to be as bad as it is, but the city is up there with Los Angeles and Rio de Janiero! Ugh. /https://www.upexpress.com
  7. Going on the Star next week in a Garden Villa. When I called the concierge to ask about my 6 bottles of alcohol, she seemed confused. Does the Butler arrange for this?
  8. I was checking for a Detroit appointment this week to update my Nexus (which includes GE) and could get one next day. Not sure if they keep different waiting lists for new applications and updates, but I was surprised how quickly I could get in. Port Huron, Mich was next day as well.
  9. omg! That looks amazing. Might have to try that!
  10. My sister and parents stayed in the forward suite last year and they found that is was great for 3 people. The bathroom is in the bedroom, but if you aren't someone who gets up in the night, it is okay. :)
  11. I am staying in a Garden Villa on Star this fall. Hope my experience is as wonderful as yours!
  12. The online system is a little wonky. If you select a group of 6 you will be presented with certain times. If you select a group of 4, you will be presented with a completely different set of times. I have travelled the last two times with a group of 7, so we have the same issue. Check the system for a group of 4 or 6 and then adjust it once you get on board. At least you know you have something and they can 'make it work'.
  13. I think the only place I found a Lobster Tail on the Getaway was in Ocean Blue.
  14. I agree with many posters here..... Haven was by far, our best meals on the ship (Getaway 2017). We used our 3 SDP but I think 6 would be excessive. Try lunch one day (I know you said you aren't big lunch eaters) because the lunch menu is amazing too.
