Is that correct?
That's how I read it...but I will wait a while to ask the questions as it is very new and we all know how long it takes for info to filter down. I am also going to Vegas in Sept, so hopefully I can exchange my Gold MLife for "some" of the perks of Elite. :D

I'm Elite with Celebrity. Received the email and proceeded to sign up for an M Life account. Emailed customer service at M Life and requested the upgrade to Gold. Received a reply requesting both membership numbers, I provided these and have now been upgraded to Gold. This'll come in handy when I'm at Bellagio in August!
So... how does this work if you are Gold with MLife? We have already booked our second cruise with Celebrity next spring? How do we change our status to Elite? :)
Cheers!

I have read most all the comments on the many Beverage pkg threads, and find them perplexing. Most of those confused were given the pkg as a perk and have no out of pocket $$ in the hunt. So what if the cost to buy the pkg increased, most did not. The coverage cap remained in place. Nothing confusing to my understanding.
The dinning arrangements for the suites is a work in progress and will evolve a few more times before things are etched in stone. It is not like anyone in a suite won't have a place to sit and stuff their face, but you would think it was so after reading some of the comments. I realize those booking an upper level cabin are investing a good size sum of funds. And I complement them on wise investment choices that allow them to travel in that fashion. But some of the statements are, unbelievable.
The world will not stop spinning if someone has to be served their crumpets in the slug MDR sitting by someone traveling in an inside cabin.
So if that room is the deal breaker, it is a sad state of affairs.
Sometimes I wish Cruise Critic had a "like" button.

I would however suggest that you put it in your carry-on as opposed to checked baggage.
Don't they scan/check your carry-on when you are embarking? I suppose if they are to take it away, then you won't have to visit the "naughty" room. :D

OP, Are you asking about a power bar for electronics or a power bar for eating/snacking? :D I hear there is not enough plug ins in the cabins.

I too looked at the math and thought either way, the increase was only going to be $10 plus gratuities, but to be on the safe side I contacted my TA yesterday and asked what the upgrade cost to my “free” Classic Bevey package would be. She had Celebrity on the other line and was told that it would be $10 plus gratuity. $11.80 USD if I upgraded before April 20th. After that date it would be $16.00 USD. Since I am paying in CDN dollars, I did not want to roll the dice of waiting to find out which way this is going to turn out. I upgraded to Premium (DH likes his Scotch) :D and if the CDN dollar goes up and the difference is still only $10.00 after Monday, then I can cancel and rebook at a lower cost in the future as my cruise is not till 2016. :)
Cheers!

I don’t comment/post much on CC but…Wow, some people must of got out of bed the wrong way today…
The OP was only asking about getting a refund on an beverage package that they pre-paid for and due to an unexpected upgrade this beverage package now becomes “free” with their upgrade…. Why wouldn’t he/she expect a refund? They paid for it? Again…Wow with some of the snarky responses… :(
Cheers!
