  1. Kathi, I am missing you all so much. It was just great spending the last 39 days with you and the others on the forum. I have the next two weeks with my brother and family and will then fly back to UK. I am seriously thinking that next year I will have to fly to Sydney have time with the family and then do the other half of the world trip like you are doing now. When you see the others please give them my regards.

    Regards Pat

  5. Greeting - from Deborah & Mick - Princess - Cape Town- We are heading your way and this is the only way we know of to contact you. Shoot us an emaili with your eamail address and we will see if we can meet up with you. Email gwmz3 @aol.com (no space)

  6. Yes the doors on some can be opened, but not removed. Go into the Princess site and do a mock booking. Once you select your cabin it will tell you that the balcony CANNOT connect to the one beside. (Note - doesn't tell you if it CAN be connected).. Have a look at Sea Princess Balcony cabin B740 (Baja deck) and it will say in red Special Notes: BALC CANNOT CONNECT WITH B736 BALCONY. Good luck with your cabin choice.

Thanks for the information. We have booked on Caribe deck cabins C410 and C408 and there is no mention of Cannot connect so fingers crossed we can connect.

  7. No sure if I should post this here on on the Princess board but as Sea Princess mostly sails out of Aus I thought I would try it here first.

I have just booked cruise for early next year and was wondering if the divides on the balconies can be removed?

If anyone know that would be great.

  8. Great review whitemarsh. I feel like I am akready there!

I got a phone call today from ny ta and cunard had cintacted them asking if I wanted an upgrade.....for a cost. I am currently in a BC ande the are offering a AA for $700 or a P2 fir $2700. I ended up saying no but if they offer it for free well that is another matter. Did I do the correct thing?

  9. Just after noon and Captain Wells announced that we would have another 36 hours of rough weather. We are 360 miles north of the Azores trying to miss the worst of the North Atlantic storm. We are having 8 meter swells and force 9 winds. The outside temperature is 14C/58F.

Better you than me. I love cruising but not so much the rough weather. Have a great time and see you soon.

By the way, I am loving your blog and also Maggiemou's. I feel like I am there already with you all.

  11. I will be enjoying my first Curnard cruise in a few weeks and can not wait. It has been on my bucket list since I started cruising and the reason is because of the dress code. I can not understand how people book with curnard and then complain due to the fact they can not wear tatty jeans etc in the dining room.

I have been more concerned with my packing that I have packed the correct clothes for each night as I do not want to offend anyone...especially Whitemarsh(lol) as they will be on the same cruise as me!. I am so looking forward to dressing up as I never really dress to the extent that I will be on the cruise. I even went out and purchased some gowns for formal nights as I NEVER wear dresses these days...lol

I so look forward to meeting whitemarsh and I also look forward to sitting back and people watching what everyone is wearing.

    In short....I CAN NOT WAIT...:D

  12. Does any one have any advice on what to do in Adelaide Australia. We love to be active?

When you say active, how active is that?

Adelaide is a very easy city to walk around. You can get a train into the city center from across from where you dock and then you can walk around the city centre. If walking is too slow you can always hire a free push bike and bike around. You can catch the one and only tram from the city down to Glenelg and spend the day at the beach is also another option. If you drink Wine (which we are know for) you have a choice of either McLaren Vale or The Barossa Valley. We also have a very good wildlife park here called Cleland where you can have your photo taken holding a Koala as well (for a cost of course).

As the day you arrive (16th Feb) is a Sunday be aware that Adelaide is not that busy. (we are not known as the city of churches for nothing).

I hope this gives you a few ideas.

  13. I have a few regulars that I seem to stick with. They are J'adore by Christian Dior. I seem to wear this the most. The only problem is I cannot smell in on me (been told that means it suits me) and many people have momented on how lovely it is.

My others are Vera Wang (the original) and Marc Jacobs Dot and Lola.

I always seem to buy the same and every time I travel I buy anothe bottle of each. I am starting to get a collection of them all.
