  1. Cruising NCL out of Tampa. I haven't sailed out of this port before. Is it best to prepay ahead of time? Has anyone used the valet service there and if so any feedback on it? Was thinking it looks easier than dealing with the parking garage.

  2. Has anyone stayed in room 15000 on Jade? We picked this room based on the balcony set up and being able to see both sides of the ship. I found a great YouTube video of the room but would like personal experience. Any pros or cons? I have never done the Haven on any ship other than an away class ship so I'm excited to try a smaller ship. I know there is no dedicated restaurant or bar and breakfast/lunch is in a specialty restaurant. Any other major differences in the Haven? Thank you for your input!

  3. We moved our July cruise on Breakaway out of Miami to Getaway out of PC as PC is much closer to where we live. We also saved over $800 on the same room.  We are 113 days out but no excursions are listed and cannot book dining yet. Since they just moved the ship, I'm assuming excursions well eventually show up and possibly be able to book dining ahead at some point.  If not no biggie, we don't usually do excursions (I do want a villa in GSC lol) and I'm sure it will be no trouble making dining reservations once on the ship.

Just got the notice about an hour ago that we won our upgrade bid for our 2/19 Escape cruise. We went from Club Balcony Suite (MA) to Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony (H6) for $750pp- which was not much over minimum bid (I think minimum was $650/p) and well within the 'poor' designation. VERY excited to try out the Haven, although the 2-bedroom is WAY more space than we need (just two of us). But we'll enjoy it!

That gives me hope, I am also on Escape 2/19. I'm in an aft balcony room and my bid is similar to yours. Fingers crossed!!! We booked a 2 bedroom Haven for our last cruise for just two of us and having the 2nd bathroom was very nice to have.

  5. Reading the descriptions for the different villa options and the studio doesn't list having drink service at the studio villa but the one and two bedrooms do. Can anyone confirm if you do have this service in the studio villa? Any preference to ocean vs lagoon villa? Thanks!

  7. Are excursions part of onboard spending? If so I bet that $50 per port is encouraging more people to book excursions directly with NCL. On my last cruise I met two different couples who said they were using NCL only because of that credit. That made me giggle as their excursions are often so over priced that even with the credit you are paying more. I know that there are other advantages of using NCL for excursions but doing so only to not "lose" $50 credit was funny to me.

  8. Does anyone know if cabin 17000 and the two next to it are larger than the other 2 bedroom suites? Per the pictures it looks bigger. If you stayed in one of these how did you like the balcony with the windows that close? Do they take away from the feeling of being in a balcony? Currently booked in another room in this category and trying to decide if I want to switch. Thanks!!

  9. We have stayed on deck 12 aft twice in epic. We love the loungers on the balcony. You can feel slight vibration when pulling into port but not enough to stop us from booking an aft balcony. Upcoming cruise we booked a suite and I am so excited but I will miss those loungers on the balcony.
