On our recent family cruise on celebrity cruises we desperately missed a single photographer for a nice family picture.

I apologize if (probably ) asked before.
Is club soda included with the bottomless package?
Thanks in advance!

Hello everybody,
Just curious about your experience.
For the second time in a row, we lost a piece of luggage post cruise. Last November on Harmony of the seas in Lauderdale (forgot it in Terminal), last month on Constellation in Ravenna.(taken by other guest and brought back 2h later). I certainly filled out a claim in terminal und online.
Now and then no luck to get our bags. It seems, since there is no pressure on the cruise line, compared to airlines, to reimburse people if luggage is not found, there is really no effort at all to find your lost luggage.

Sounds good. Thanks.

Hello everybody,
We are looking forward coming back to Carnival after 16 years.
With 2 kids now I am curious about the bed arrangement with 4 in a standard balcony.
Is it a pullout sofa bed we can use or a bunk bed?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, as expected, offer was refused in the meantime.

Thanks. It just says pending and that "the time period to modify or cancel has passed".
Sailaway is on Monday on Constellation.
-
A little off topic: cruise departs Monday, offer is still "pending" in our case.

Several things on this thread are interesting. Beginning with titles. I just looked again at the RCG leadership page, and only Liberty and Bayley have CEO titles; Bethge (Celebrity) and Muckermann (Silversea) are brand presidents. LLP was President and CEO of Celebrity. People noticed that in the original announcement, but we were all waiting to see what was actually posted, and based on that, LHB is not a CEO. They should have just posted their 10-Q and I'm curious what it actually says about corporate governance. But if that's accurate, Celebrity could now be one step further removed from the board, and LHB could largely be an implementer as others have suggested (Bo, for instance)...
Loyalty programs are at their heart customer retention programs. Old school metrics are that it costs 5-7X as much to acquire a new customer as to retain an existing customer. I've seen studies that question those numbers especially with targeted marketing and the internet. If the retention program starts costing more than it's bringing in, it's time to change the program. You want to retain customers that spend money or acquire new ones that will. So if Elite/Elite +/Zenith members aren't spending on the high margin add-ons that a lot of CC'ers complain about and profess to not purchase (drink packages, internet packages, and ship's excursions, for instance), then at some point you either change the program or "fire them" if you seriously believe you can acquire new customers for less (big if). And bluntly, they already have our past spending; it's our future spending that matters.
There's a looooong thread on butlers running beside this one. I don't know that the sky is falling on that, but it is another in a series of operational decisions (vaping, for instance) that turns into brand strategy by operational decisions and honestly I think they're losing a niche they had almost to themselves in favor of competing with lines they probably could have maneuvered around. The strategy of providing an upscale experience priced better than true luxury/premium lines gave them a nice space in the market. The more they look like everyone else, the more they're competing on price (see several posts on this thread), and those are shark infested waters!
To quote Stan, 'nuff said...
Well said 👌

One of life's great mysteries. Royal gives the 4-5 free drink Diamond/Diamond Plus benefit every day of the cruise--including first and last days.
I do hope X will go for this procedure one day.

Thanks for your Feedback.
Did you notice how often and what kind of movies are shown on the rooftop screen?
Any opinion about the Oceanview Cafe in the evening?

Another vote for 9 nights if the fare is similar (per night). Longer trip, similar ship, yet the Equinox is less "optimized" regarding space utilization what I prefer.

We are on Conni in 2 weeks, probably the same 10 nights trip. We chose Bologna since we have to switch planes in Frankfurt, Germany anyway and the airfare was the same as to Venice. For those coming overseas, Venice might be still the better choice, especially if it's a nonstop flight to/from Venice.

This "give us a 10" is often a pain in the ass, since crew Performance was often great indeed, however pressurising the guests at the end makes it look very unprofessional.

That's what I expect. The closer it gets the more likely is a decline...

Good advice. Thanks!

Hello everybody,
Is there, from your experience, any time related coincidence between bidding and acceptance or decline of your bid?
Our cruise is a bit more than 2 weeks ago, MoveUp was placed about a month ago. Is it really possible to get the bid still accepted or isn't less likely the more time goes by?
I would assume, once the bid is fine for the yield management, you gonna me accepted pretty fast.
Thanks for sharing your experience!

I am just off the Millie and during normal hours it was fine but come 4pm.....it was like the scene from Caddyshack when the caddies invade the pool! WOW is all I can say.
At least people recognized and only came for their designated hours as far as I understand you.

Hello everybody,
Our Constellation cruise is getting closer and I am curious about the current Entertainment on board.
Music at pool, at night, Stage Entertainment...
Thanks for sharing your experience.

What times during the day are kids permitted?

Yes, I remember table cloths in the OV. Also sorbet being served by staff around the pool area while sunbathing.
Oh yeah, me too. Canapes in the evenings at Hemisphere Lounge, pool deck parties with different buffets. Culinary wise the better days are gone.
Chibang and del capitano reservations
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Hello everyone,
sorry if asked before:
Our cruise is 74 days ahead? Is it or when is it possible to make reservations for outlets like cucina del capitano or chi-bang?
Thanks in advance!
