if nobody else checks in at the pier for your cabin I'm pretty sure they won't be charging for a second person.

One would think that...I just looked at my credit card and see the charge for one person drink package, and another "charge" of 0 (on a separate line). Both are listed as pending charges. I'll have to keep an eye on this to make sure that 0 doesn't turn into something more. Maybe I'm jaded after the kerfuffle today trying to check in. I won't go into it, but it took me quite some time for all the info I entered to be accepted.

  2. Just an FYI: There is some incorrect information here regarding Pinnacle benefits. One post indicated you only get your 6 free drinks in the Suite lounge. When they went to 6 free drinks instead of unlimited happy hour, they made them available at any bar except Starbucks, Bionic Bar and Desserted. Wi-Fi for one device is not limited to certain types of ships, it's available on all ships. Laundry is available for one free bag, after that, $$ off.

That is unfortunate, but if there are two people on your booking now, there will still be two people on it in June, so you're going to have to call sooner or later no matter what. Unless you are OK with paying for two packages and then hoping that MSC eventually refunds one of them.

For sure do not wait until you're on board, because then you will have to pay the 18% service charge on top of the price of the package.

I ended up using a different credit card and booking the package over the phone today. The rep had difficulty removing the second passenger "Guest, GGuest" and also kept getting the double charge, but finally was able to get me the package for one. The verification email shows the package but still shows the second passenger. Hopefully, I won't be charged daily gratuities for two. I really don't want to spend any of my 7 day cruise battling to get charges posted correctly.

I did this once when booking. I declined to get the easy plus/wifi package when I booked and when I went to buy the drinks package later it was like $300pp more than if I would have purchased when book.

thanks, I was told not to wait until I board by the MSC rep, I just want to wait until the first of June for a 6/29 cruise. My problem now is that I travel solo and when I try to buy online it wants to charge me for 2 people...for some reason, they have a 2nd "person" listed as "guest" on my rez. Guess I'll have to call, something I wanted to avoid

  5. I will be buying the Easy Plus package prior to my cruise but want to buy it just before the sailing. When does MSC "close" purchases of extras for their cruises? i.e. Royal Caribbean closes purchases 3 days before the cruise. This is to help me decide which of my credit cards to use.

  6. I'm not sure how/if they'll do the refund...I paid with about $60 from my credit card with the rest from my Next Cruise deposit which is non-refundable. But, they did refund me $96 for the pre-paid gratuities. I sent the email about 2 weeks ago and received a response that I should receive the refund in 1-2 weeks after the end of the cruise (last day of the no-show cruise was 5/10). It was a side to side, combined with a B2B. I missed the first of the B2B. Very messy. Oh and I looked at my emails, the new offer I received came today

I believe that if you are a no show on a casino comped cruise, you are also suspended from receiving future offers for a few months

If I remember, I'll let you know at the beginning of next month. I usually get a monthly offer but I did have to no-show a cruise on May 4th due to an emergency. I had no access to a phone or internet until a couple of days into the cruise so couldn't even notify them until then. So far, I got my pre-paid gratuities back but not the port/tax funds. I did get a new offer on my club royale page in the last couple of days tho

I tried everything! I had 5G service, even, but I think it was just overloaded. I couldn't get the Lyft app to load. Other apps were working okay, but Lyft just got stuck in that loading phase for me. There were a ton of people in the area trying to get cars, so I'm sure it was just too many. I should have connected to the app before I got over there.

    Sorry it didn't help

Princess Customer Service team. Another email today from them stating they had checked with their manager, and confirmed they definitely use Refundable OBC before beginning to use Non-refundable. I am sure this is incorrect, unless a very recent policy change.  I will pursue further.

I checked my records just to be sure, but at least on my Sky cruise in Feb 2023, I had a remaining $197 in refundable OBC that they sent to me in a check to my home about a month later. I have a record of the check being deposited. I can't imagine it would be the other way around.

  10. Thanks for the great review and it was everything I've experienced on my Enchanted cruises. One hint regarding wifi service once off the ship...I used to have trouble getting service in order to get an Uber/Lyft at the end of the cruise. Some things to remember are to turn off airplane mode, logout of the Princess wifi, then log into the Port Everglades free wifi when you get outside. Since I started remembering to do these three things, I've not had any problem getting Uber app up and running and an Uber driver to pick me up. I hope this helps someone 😉 I'll be back on board in a week!

  11. I take numerous cruises per year -going on #14 for 2024 in a week. Sometimes I need a break but still want to be on the ocean. Movies in the cabin are a great way to relax. Princess is the only cruise line I've been on that has movies, tv shows, etc., that you can watch on demand. Last year I saw Maverick and Barbie. I couldn't get into Oppenheimer - I thought it was kind of boring - but it was offered among several others.

Does your friend snorkel? We had the BEST snorkel trip (twice!) with Woodwind in Bonaire. You can book it independently, and walk to where they leave from. They go around Klein Bonaire, no worries about getting back to the ship on time 😉

I just booked with them for my August cruise. I love that company! This will be my 6th time with them. $85 from 9 am to 2, including gear, guide, lunch and drinks - alcoholic (after you're done snorkeling) and non-alcoholic. Two snorkel sites. They even offer masks with vision correction (readers). Short walk to the catamaran

  13. I posted this to another question but this is what I come up with (I only list things I would actually use with or without Plus):

    - includes unlimited room service delivery

    - unlimited food/drink delivery anywhere on board

    - all beverages (value up to $15) - not just alcoholic drinks, but specialty coffees, virgin drinks, water, Pellegrino, sodas, etc. (alcoholic drinks are limited to 15 per day per person)

    - daily gratuities (value $16-18 per day)

    - one device streaming wi-fi (value at least $5 per day depending on status)

    - 2 casual dining meals

    and more

It's "for free" when you check in?  Is there any benefit to ordering it for your home?  We are generally "buffet eaters"....never eat in specialty restaurants, even when entitled by status on other lines.

It's free on check in...if you pay the $10 to have it delivered to your home, you get access to the "Green line" which sometimes gets you through the terminal far quicker than being in the "Blue line" (sometimes there's very little difference between lines).

Also, if you buy the Plus or Premium package once on board, they subtract the $10 you paid to have it delivered. I buy the Plus package each trip once on board bc I feel it's a great value

    Just my opinion - YMMV

AND - It makes a spiffy refrigerator magnet! 😁

Works on the walls of your cabin too - to hang up some of the important papers you receive during the cruise (invites to the Captain's party, shore excursion tickets, etc). I take several on all my cruises (sometimes you need more than one to hang a paper) regardless of which cruise line. 😉

  16. I was on Symphony a few weeks ago and ate lunch at Hooked - on a sea day, it was not open for lunch any other day of that cruise. Best foods I've had over a few lunches were the Drunken Mussels, Baked Oysters, Lobster Roll, Messy Fish Sandwich, Shrimp Cocktail and the Coconut Cream Pie. I thought all were delicious. I actually have not had anything I didn't like.

Did you pack them in your suitcase?  When it came to taking them on and off the ship for ocean use can I assume you carried them at that point?  Thank you.

Mine fits wrapped around the inside of my large, checked bag. When I get off, I can fit it into my beach bag but could be carried off and on also

  18. I haven't read all the comments, so someone may have already given you this tip: take duct tape to put a small piece over the sensor for the "nightlight" - I can't believe anyone likes that spotlight glaring in your face when you're half awake. I do the duct tape thing every Princess cruise since they installed those lights. Also, I hope you canceled your bid if you wouldn't want to move to another cabin now. And, if you do specialty dining - Rudy's the Catch is the best seafood I've had on a ship. O'Malley's has a good casual dining menu and they've had some great Irish style entertainment in the past. I love Enchanted and will be on her twice more this year. I hope you enjoy it too!

We did this 2 years ago. We took a taxi from the airport to Fairmont. The Princess cruise at that time docked in front of the Fairmont! I’d check to make sure they still dock there.

Thanks for the info - at least I know taxis will go there though I may use Uber.  I've been searching online for answers and really am not finding any information. Even the port's website does not tell the terminal - instead it says N/A for Emerald Princess.

  20. I've booked a cruise on Emerald Princess for October and have booked my own one-way flight. I am trying to figure out a few things: What's the best way to get to the port from the airport (I called Princess and they tell me the shuttle is only available from 10am to 2pm - my flight arrives at 3:30pm)? About how much should I expect to pay? I travel solo. Which terminal does Princess normally dock at? Thanks for any help. I've never been to Quebec City and won't know my way around so detailed help is even better :)
