  1. Just what the title says. Was packing up my things and although we are taking a few things ON the hangers in the hanging bag, I have several things in my suitcase that could be hung when we get there. Are there hangers in the closets already?

We hit the road tomorrow for our cruise Monday on Connie. So EXCITED!

  2. Hi ladies! I'm not a "regular" on these boards but I just booked my second cruise so I am starting to look at the message boards again. A few years ago I discovered "tubing" mascaras. Loreal has one--it's called Double Extend Beauty Tubes. I think Clinique has one as well, but the Loreal one is just as good. Tubing mascara is different from regular mascara--it does not run or smudge. It forms a little "tube" around your lashes, and the only way to get it off is with WARM water (cold water won't touch it--which is why it is PERFECT for the pool or the beach!) When it does come off, it comes off in pieces--doesn't turn into a liquid. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but I have found that it is the best for avoiding that "raccoon eyes" look.

I love this! Works like nothing I have ever tried before and at less than 9 bucks at Walmart it's a winner for me!

  3. Terry, although we can't afford to be HUGE tippers we DO like to TIP EXTRA, its very satisfying for us and lots of fun! We plan on taking lots of extra small bills to spread around, besides our regular included gratuities. May I ask if you are talking about an extra $10 or more like $20?

Paul, thanks for the name, we will certainly stop by and tell him he has been raved about on CC!

  4. I keep reading about The Martini Bar. How Fabulous it is and how crowded it is now ( especially with the 123). We leave in two weeks and I just can't wait. We upgraded to the premium package and I am making it my mission to try as many as possible. Don't worry I won't do it all in the same day.

But what I am wondering is, if this Martini Bar is so popular and so crowded why is there not more? Can one get these fancy martinis at any bar or only there? I am hoping the answer is anywhere. Especially perhaps as a pre dinner cocktail in the MDR. If not we will just stop there on our way, no worries, just curious.

Two more weeks and we will be on the Connie ( first Celebrity Cruise). I'm a tad excited!

  5. Persian garden is in the aqua spa. It's an area with a Turkish bath, a sauna, and a few other relaxation areas exclusive for AQ guests. There is also a theralassopy(sorry for the spelling)pool

What exactly IS a Turkish bath?

  6. Hi Arno,

Could I pretty please ask you, if you have a moment, to check and see if there are any photo package specials offered. I have been trying to decide to buy in advance or wait and see if the 5 days offer discounts like the longer ones. We sail later this month, and I have had no luck finding any answers.

Enjoy your cruise and I will look forward to any updates you fill us all in on here! Cheers!

  7. Jumpsuits are very HOT right now. And I am sure short dresses are worn all the time for formal night. I would say it most likely depends on the material. Is it made for evening wear or more day wear. My friend just purchased a jumpsuit for our cruise, it is black silk with slits all the way down the long sleeves and is just gorgeous. She is wearing it on formal night. If you are dressed up, I can't imagine they would turn you away.

  8. Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't the finder of the camera give it to Celebrity Constellation, surely they have a lost and found and certainly the camera owners would think to contact them first? Or is that a crazy concept since they have so many lost and found items?

Hope the owners find the camera, pictures are worth a million words AND memories. I would be so sad to loose mine.

  9. Thank you for the responses every one. I only asked about how late you can arrive to know what to expect from other guests, we are always very prompt. We do not like to rush but was concerned about the late show, I read now there is only one night they do that? Really glad to hear the comments about beverage service not being a problem at dinner! We didn't choose select dinning because I thought trying to get a group of 8 in at certain times would be a problem PLUS having to get our group to DECIDE on different times would be confusing, this keeps it simple and I like having the same servers who get to know your habits.

As for the other restaurants besides the MDR, well they sound very nice but with companions traveling with us on all different budgets we will need to stick to what is paid/included for this time. I have it on my list to enjoy for our next cruise we plan.

    Thanks everyone!

  10. We chose the late seating in the MDR ( on Connie) mainly because we like to make the afternoon last a bit longer at the pool or happy hour or whatever. I have a few questions if you could help.

1- we have 8 in our group and linked the ressy numbers for MDR seating. Are there tables for 8 or are they just 10. Would they seat another couple with us?

2- How early can one be seated with the late dining? How late?

3-We love long dinners but what if we want to catch one of the shows one night, can we ask our server to have dishes come out faster than normal with any luck?

4- How is the cocktail/wine service with the packages during dinner? Will they come around often enough? Can we order a few at the beginning and request them to come with each course?

    Thank you for any answers!
