  1. I am looking for help in knowing who to contact at RCL.  I have asthma and chronic bronchitis - not sick.  I have a concern I might be denied boarding if I have a bad coughing spell.  We have a cruise scheduled for May.  Who do I contact?

    TIA,

I could always pull out the inflatable foot stool/table cube I bought before experiencing the little “infinite veranda” on Edge. Came in very handy.

I had just told my husband maybe we could take something similar to my inflatable footrest, only taller.  What do others do?

Seriously...we need to have breakfast in shifts at the desk because someone at Celebrity thought it was a good idea to remove what little space there was for trays and meals?  What will you remove next ?  Replace the beds with twin size?

Would you please let us know where this formation came from?

We really want to do one of the Coral Princess cruises to South America, starting in Peru, Argentina, Falklands and ending up in Brazil. We've previously done RCI, NCL and Carnival, mainly carribbean and europe and never Princess. We've seen many Princess ships in port and it always seems like a much older demographic? We are late 30's early 40's and wondering if the general demographic will be much much older then us and worried that on sea days there won't be much activities, my husband dosn't really do sitting around doing nothing, he loves the trivia on carnival etc and daytime entertainment is really important for sea days.

We appreciate it won't be a carribean party crowd, which is fine because it's more about the itinerary then the partying on this cruise but the sea days we will be bored if there is nothing going on!

Can anyone advise what a Princess Cruise to south america is like or even share the activity daily schedule? Thanks!!

My husband is not a "sit around guy" either.  This cruise was much different than other cruises.  My husband was always on the go to either go ashore, take photos/record videos , or attend lectures.  I did not do a lot due to health problems.  Do not worry about differences in ages, if this is a part of world you want to see.  Go while you are young and can enjoy. it!!!!  It is beautiful.

Miami and Port Canaveral are the only ports showing up today September 13 for November, oh oh, countdown is on, it's all wait and see now for those two possibilities.

We still have a cruise scheduled from Charleston on the Sunshine leaving on November 9th.  DH called and was told it was not showing availability because it was full due to sailing at half capacity.

After looking at the above photos, I think it is a safe bet that the ladders and handrails just haven't been installed yet. You can see where the brackets are in place. As far as "steps" are concerned, only the Retreat Pool near the Sanctuary on the Royal Class ships have steps.

Are there pictures of the Retreat Pool near the Sanctuary?  I have a foot problem the hinders me trying to get out of a pool using a "straight up and down ladder".

  7. Can someone help me understand the line highlighted in yellow.  What does "at risk" mean?

Health Screening and Illness Surveillance Procedures Under Consideration:

    • All guests and crew embarking a ship will undergo enhanced pre-embarkation health screening in accordance with prevailing health best practices, such as health questionnaires and touch-free temperature checks as appropriate
    • Those identified at risk will undergo an additional health evaluation by medical staff
    • Health checks as appropriate during the cruise for guests and crew
    • Rapid response and contact tracing plans in case of on-board illness

A day or so ago, before the CDC announced the ban on cruising until July 15th, Carnival announced that the first ships to commence sailing would have a reduced passenger capacity so I think that’s likely at first.

I’d like to see hand washing stations at each entrance to the buffet. I personally hate the HAL buffet where you have to wait in a line for someone to serve you... it takes a lot longer and often, the first food gets cold while you’re getting the rest. Not sure how to compromise on that.

I can see everyone’s temperature being taken at embarkation. Perhaps random testing during the cruise.

I’m allergic to hand sanitizer and most wipes (I can use Clorox wipes) so I can’t use them (I’ve been chased by passengers in the buffet and berated/screamed at for ruining their cruise for not using the sanitizer) plus they are marginally effective. They do little for Norovirus or COVID-19.

It’s a fine line between treating passengers like children and expecting them to be adults and responsible.

Pretty sure there’ll be a lot more cabin and public space cleaning. I can also see staff in the buffet required to wear masks and gloves when near food. I think you’ll see more passengers wearing gloves in the buffet. Maybe require passengers to wear gloves there.

Hi Pam!  You have a lot of great suggestions.  DH and I were on the Coral in Jan/Feb.  There were hand washing stations at the beginning of each buffet entrance.

We take our own stainless steel drinking vessels with lid and straw, but fill them by using a clean ship provided cup as requested.  On the Pride (and I think on Sunrise last year too) there wasn't a lever to put the cup against.  There was a button above the dispenser to push and cups easily fit under the dispenser that the cup wouldn't need to touch.

What do you use to clean the inside of the straw?

I've been thinking about investing in stocks for sometime now. Being that Carnival provides a product I use, I thought about maybe buying some shares from them. Now that 100 shares is within my budget, I may finally do it. For first timers, would it be wise to work with a professional?

This was my first time buying stock on my own.  My financial advisor suggested I set up a self-directed account at Merrill Edge.  There are no fees.

  11. On my recent Coral Princess cruise I witnessed the most appalling behavior in the Horizon Court.  These actions occurred in the dessert section during dinner.  A lady did not know if a container was whipped cream or not and proceeded to stick her finger in the container, taste it, and declare it was whipped cream.  I really was surprised and disgusted.  There was a thick, creamy dessert sauce at the end of the line and, wait for it, a different woman used her finger to scrape the sauce from the dipper onto her plate.  I had a hard time holding myself together.

What good does it do to make everyone wash their hands on the way into the dining area?

I missed the deadline for the survey but would like to bring this to the attention of management.  There should be enough servers behind the counter to prevent this from happening.
