Having done a couple of segments and have had no problems. There will be a area for the full world cruisers to hang out and a concierge for them. Have had large tables with a mix of full and segment cruisers and have been lucky every one was very nice.

For me in the San Francisco bay area, its work as normal. I work on transit buses so I am essential services. Have been enjoying the commute though. Did book the Sydney to SF trip in May on the chance it might happen. But have moved it to the march Dubai to Southampton on the QM2 next year. Wishing for the best.

If you are the only ship there you can have a very short line. Also try to get the first tender in the morning as the cable cars are a group of cars and there is 2 groups so as one goes up one goes down.

Here you go, although they don't have next years yet:

There is also a charge for soda's even if you have the soda plan.

There is also a bending force on the ship that would have to be factored in. The ship is designed to through waves and swells, but how much more strength would you need now that you have another force on the very front of the ship? Also most cruise ships have the front of the ship built far forward on the bow. Now your going to be slicing through the waves, you would need a bow like the QM2. Loosing revenue space. Could it be done? Yes. But is it economical to do don't think so.

There is a ports of call board. Also would recommend Rick Steve's Mediterranean cruise book. Lots of info

There are OBC on the 2018 world cruise:

On one trip we were delayed docking into Civitavecchia on QE due to high winds, as was the QM2. Delays could happen, that is why there is clause in the passenger contract stating that Cunard is not responsible for delays, missed ports etc. If it was air on your own you will be out of luck.

So according to your reasoning all handicap should be only sold to someone who actually needs it? But how do you prove that? So then all of the rooms go unsold then they go empty?
If someone needed that room they would have booked that room, just like if someone needs a bathtub they would have booked that.
As a guaranteed you say give me a room at this level, or maybe a better room if available. They did that. They fulfilled their part of the contract. If it was so important you should have booked a cabin direct.
You keep referring to US laws that don't apply. You say you work in the travel industry, do you tell people who travel to a different country not to obey their laws as the US laws are good anywhere?
Sorry this happened to you but you got what you paid for.

Just got the ok to do an interview. Application was done about 3 weeks ago. Next available interviews are in about 2 weeks but all late at night. Good thing I work swing and will go after work. The confirmation message has your global entry number which will become the known traveler number when approved.

QV does not stop at Easter or Pitcairn Islands. Both ships are very close to being exact sisters, decor is the big difference. Some other differences but either one is very nice. Did the Sydney to SF segment a couple of years ago and had a great time. although we missed Bay of Islands due to a approaching Cyclone. Just have fun and enjoy

Cunard on the world cruises which stop in India offer trips there. You can do a segment instead ot the whole world cruise.

I have done 2 world cruise segments on Cunard. The first one there was a lady with her 2 teenage sons doing the full cruise. I was able to talk a little to them and they seemed to be having a great time. On the last one there were a couple of teenagers on board. not sure if they were doing the whole or just part of the cruise. I did meet the hostess of the teem and club and she was very nice, and did seem to have them doing things around the ship.
If you think about it having a boat load of grandmothers and grandfathers around could only be a positive thing. And then the stories they would have when they got back to school would be great.
I myself enjoy seeing a show and you see someplace you have been in person makes it more special. Being in school and learning about the world is one thing, seeing it in person is another.
Hope you do it.

The lessons run about 45-50 minutes. There is an announcement in the program, just show up. they are on sea days for the duration of the segment. Not sure how the full world cruise would work but it did not look like there were other classes.

They do pair up people, usually a few singles. Its lots of fun. Have done it crossing the Pacific with lots of sea days. Was early in the morning.

Just noticed that it was already posted.
Good luck

Enjoyed Roger Mcguinn in 2014 and Felicity Aston in 2011. But on the whole they are very good, wide variety of different people. I enjoy the many sea days on the 2 world cruise segments that i have done. get to see lots of speakers.

Room service is available 24 hours

The 6 months is that some countries that they sail to or might sail to have that requirement. It is then a blanket statement. Will it prevent you from boarding I don't know.

What people also don't realize is that your plane might be coming from someplace else that has delays. flying from San Francisco to Florida in winter but plane comes from Denver. Snow in Denver Delays flight
Movie set on QM2: "Let Them All Talk"
in Cunard Line

I have always wondered as I was on the QE on the maiden World Cruise segment from Dubai to Southampton in 2011 (does not seem so long ago) and there was a I believe Japanese crew filming on board. Have looked but unable to find anything.
