  1. Twas actually the Ryndam 🙂
  2. Isn't the Culinary Arts Center presented by Food and Wine Magazine now America's Test Kitchen at Sea? That would mean HAL no longer has that sponsorship, right? I mean, it's so easy to get free magazines though - we get Better Homes and Gardens just for going to the local Home Show.
  3. Any Van Halen fans out there that can name this HAL Ship?
  4. Here's another fun one - ship and location? It's an action shot of the cruise staff running an event.
  5. Well, since someone already incorrectly guessed Volendam, you are correct with Zaandam. As for an embarkation port....the ship's at anchor which would be horrible to embark upon with all that luggage 🙂 It's actually Lahaina, Maui - we departed at 11pm, so the lights stayed on until sailing.
  6. Nope, but her sister 🙂 I guess that's an incredibly obvious hint now... Not in French Polynesia, but a port within the Pacific Ocean....
  7. OK, I'll play - which ship? A hint since it could be so many - she's still in the fleet. Several bonus points if you can name the port.
  8. Just because a HAL crew member hasn’t posted their letter like the CCL crew did, doesn’t mean they aren’t getting the same notices. This post is from an Executive Chef (now formerly) with HAL
  9. Ships are sailing with about 80 crew on board, the rest are home. Most have been officially let go and told they can reapply when things are back up and running, but they are no longer official employees. This includes many Hotel Directors, Culinary Operations Managers, Deck Officers (including Captains, Staff Captains, etc), Guest Relations Managers.... the list goes on.
