Thank you, Portside for the link....going with first time cruisers in October and putting together "Mom's Guide To Cruising" for them. This information will be included. Thanks again!

owy..so sad to hear of tornado and it being so close must have been scary...continued prayers for the residents of town hit....and your and yours
-
did belize, costa rica, panama a couple of years ago, and it still remains our favorite cruise...I think it left from new Orleans (not sure about that) would love to do it again!
-
LOVED your review...not cruising until October 2015, but taking son and grandson (he will be 5 by then) and mom (she will be 90 by then
we are in ohio and I always make it a point to go to embarkation port a day ahead (only difference was victory out of nyc)...so that whole walmart thing will happen the day before (I would have wanted o smack her...)
did paradise beach on our last cruise to Nassau, we did a tour, then found out about the "free beach", went back to the ship, got our stuff and made arrangements to transport to beach (including the bridge fee) and a pick up at 4:00 (he was there right on time!!!!), rented chairs (and an umbrella for mom) and the drinks (next time I pick up a little more rum before we go to the beach) and our kids totally loved it! I am so looking forward to doing this in October of this year
I find the "warnings to be for those who are "entitled", we have been to Nassau many times and never encountered a problem! thanks for your review!

thank you for the information

noo, this isn't the end....I have to wait for more? ok, breathing, breathing...I am soooooooooo enjoying your review and would like to cruise with you--gotta be fun!

please tell me exactly where prices do not change? the only constant in life is CHANGE and uping prices happens all the time....especially in the supermarket? (bought a candy bar lately? tried to buy "penny candy")...geez people, the prices of drinks has gone up every time I have cruised....just like the cost of almost everything else!
-
That's too bad. Customers have a tendency to wander away when the competition has product and you don't. The longer the delay, the greater the attrition.
seriously? people planning a cruise can't wait a little bit for the schedule? seriously?
-
I hope the menu still includes lox and bagel...that's what I order for breakfast in my room
yes it does...is my version of a full breakfast!
-
no Kroger in this area, any other stores you know of? I was thinking of visa gift cards for the children to use for their s and s accounts.

Aren't CTNs primarily drinking and gambling cruises?
Where do you get this information? Its whatever you make it to be. My non-drinking, non-gambling 89-year-old Mom is looking forward to our next cruise later this year.

I love my PVP..if I call I can always get someone and my lady will get back to me
-
I would not consider leaving the country even to run up to Windsor or Niagara falls without one, even for the 5-year-old
-
-
the only constant is change...there are still tasty free offerings and some interesting paid ones...it appears to be reasonable
-
not very far, just smile and politely decline the hair braiders, they are only trying to make a living
-
I like Nassau...common sense should prevail wherever you go...there are cities in the us I would not do the "touristy" thing in
-
if you have a problem with lines on Lido, maybe YOU should use the alternative...the mdr

You may want to check out the Florida Departures forum:
um, this is the Florida Departures area

None of us are driving in Florida, so thank you all for the information. We always go own the day before and take a cab from whatever hotel we stay in. I DO NOT like cruising out of Port Canaveral because of the transportation issues getting to Cocoa Beach. Thanks. We shall check the shuttle companies noted.

love to travel by ground, especially Amtrak....please TIP the awesome men and women who look after you, especially in the sleepers (as well as coach)...we were comfortable (upper and lower sleeping was okay, but no window for the upper berth) and we were well tended to ...meals (BLD) are included in the sleeper fare...enjoy your trip, I am thinking about taking the train back home this time
-
what others do has nothing to do with me! don't care what others do or do not do, like drink...that being said, I don't cruise for the approval of others.

So no more lobster night in the MDR without an upcharge? I thought it was still on offer one night per cruise.
so, if I READ the response correctly, they are talking about tail vs. whole, mdr vs. steakhouse

I think the Vista looks great but I am disappointed with the lack of continuity across the line. They had a 2.0 roll out schedule that wasn't met and not ships are not even getting the full 2.0 upgrades. I think they are on the right track with the Breeze and Vista but they do need to up their game. Pricing on other lines is not much more and often less but other lines include drink packages, dining packages, ext. It would be nice to see a little more creativity and innovation.
what difference does it make? if you don't like it, don't use it...buh-bye...more lobster for me!
