I have had to call EVERY time to get my points adjusted......
Ditto!! I just called on Saturday to get the points adjusted from my 12/15 Brilliance cruise...at least they correct the problem quickly...but it's a pain to always have to call!
-
Dispenser in shower has gone too.
Guess it depends on the ship then...there was one in my Shower on the Brilliance 12/15..and it was full...
-
what do standard cabins get?
A combo dispenser in the shower & bar soap...you can also ask your cabin steward for the bottled products..they will usually be able to provide them..for hair products I prefer to bring my own...
-
Coffee last week on the Brilliance was some of the worst cruise coffee I think I've ever had....even diluting it with hot water did not help...
-
They had something they "called" Honey Stung Chicken on Brilliance a couple weeks ago....but it was a poor substitute for the original...
-
I would check out Insuremytrip.com and look for a policy that includes a cancel for Any reason provision...as much as I love my pet's I'm pretty sure that isn't going to be a covered reason under RCL's policy...
-
Just off Brilliance & yes...line dancing was offered several times during the cruise...at sail away by the pool deck & a couple times in the Centrum they had line dance classes...it will be listed in the compass...

special_needs@rccl.com
I emailed them and have been assured that I will get a foam/mattress topper item ready on my bed when i cruise next week
I also like the suggestion of extra duvets just incase the toppers are minimal comfort.... I will let you know how it workd out.
Deffo worth sending off an email!
I did the same thing before my Brilliance cruise last week & was assured of having an egg crate...didn't happen!:( The steward did put some kind of a pad on the bed, but it didn't help very much...next time I will ask for a couple extra duvets...

Just off the 5nt sailing on the Brilliance & I too noticed a serious lack of wait staff..especially as noted in the theater..
Food in the dining room was fair to not good...until the last night when the rigatoni pasta with a cream sauce was some of the best I've ever eaten! French onion soup had no melted cheese on top...and the cream brulee had no crusty brown topping at all...little things possibly...but but enough to be noticeable and make you feel that the MDR was not quite the experience you had hoped for or expected...
I am booked to sail the Brilliance again in April with family...because we got a great price I have no plans to cancel...but will advise my sister's to adjust their expectations a bit downward...
-
If you "DO" end up having to book before you can redeem your points, you can always do a temporary booking, apply your points & then when you decide on the actual cruise you want to take...TRANSFER the temp booking to the new sailing...your points will follow your booking # as long as you transfer & NOT cancel & rebook...

In September I believe it was held on Tues. night...the day we were at Coco Cay...

Many of the upgrades people are getting now are one's they "upgrade" themselves after final payment....if the price of the cruise goes down...and the category above the one you booked also goes down you can sometimes upgrade for a very small cost...
Onboard credit is often given when booking one of the many "sales" RCI is running lately or by booking a cruise onboard the ship...OBC is also a perk of some travel agents...
But free upgrades from Royal...as Retired Leo said...it's a mystery that no one really knows...;)
-
People have posted they have been able to get the OBC added to their existing reservation with no problem...HOWEVER...double check the current price on the cruise compared to what you paid...to get the added OBC they will "reprice" your cruise...if it's gone up it may not be worth paying more to get OBC....if it's gone down...you should be able to get the lower price & OBC with no problem...
-
I would just grab a cab & go...I don't remember ever seeing any tour guides hanging around at an Embarkation port...it's pretty hectic with passenger's coming & going...
-
I've never heard of a TA charging a Booking Fee ... have any of the rest of you?
LuLu
Yes, I've seen a couple that charge a $25 "processing" fee to book...at which time I hit the back button...to me, the obc isn't worth paying extra to book
-
Hmmmm...I double checked my calendar & it's NOT April 1st....maybe the OP just hasn't had their coffee quota for this morning yet....haven't paid a fuel surcharge in ages....
-
I understand most Canadians do not have international coverage-thats a different ball game.
I just bought a laptop and was offered a extended coverage plan for 20% of the purchase price which would cover everything for a year or two-I never buy those either.
Neither do a lot of american's....I have very good health insurance in country....out of country...ZIP...
-
I generally plan to be at PC by 10:30...the lines to check in are usually pretty short & boarding normally begin's around 11-11:30...goes pretty fast.
-
How would it affect the numbers if on one of those trips, they had to pay $50,000 for an emergency medical evacuation?
That's what I was thinking!! While I would hate to lose the cost of a cruise, it would not bankrupt me....a medical emergency in a foreign country very well could...$100 or so for insurance is a small price to pay for peace of mind....
-
Yep...not a big deal at all...and I can just about bet there will be other's checking in who don't have set sail pass's either....my folks don't have a computer and would have no clue about their online check in if I didn't do it for them...No Worries...have a great cruise!
-
It's been happening for a while...I "THINK" the price on the 2nd page is suppsosed to be the price per person for the room...with the discount averaged in...if that makes sense...
-
There is also a spot during the online check in where it ask's about your transportation home...there is a continuing cruiser or something like choice...
-
Just an FYI...if you are changing ships it's not a b2b...some here call it a side to side...either way...congrat's on your wedding & have fun planning your cruises...:)

Sorry...not familiar with "Cay" Beach break...maybe post the island or port where it is located & more people may be able to give advice...

They were not using tender tickets on the Dec. 15th sailing...I had no problem getting on a tender around 9 am...I was in no hurry to get ashore or I could have gotten a much earlier tender...
